I usually try to avoid places like Foster Freeze, but I was craving a frozen treat on my home so I stopped in to get a reese’s peanut butter cup twister. At first I was a little taken aback with the price for what they call a «jr» size. It’s $ 3.75 for their cheapest cup and I was thinking there is no way that’s worth it. Good/weird thing is the jr size is actually really large, but it’s just strange how they call it a jr size to begin with. Anyway, the size made up for the price a bit and the twister was a nice treat, especially with all the big chunks of peanut butter cups. Yummy! Still think Fosters as a franchise is just average though, maybe if the food was a bit cheaper to begin with it would be closer to four stars.

******************** 1529 *********************** The only place opens late night hour around here! Sundae and fries at midnight after 2 dinners and quite a bit of wines, priceless. Reminds me of high school kids on the first date! In fact a lot of them were here. What a fun night it was.

First time in years my family and I walk into a fosters freeze. We were greeted by Jason with great suggestions and customer service. We stated its been a while and immediately he helped us make choices on lunch. It really makes your day to be treated as if the customer actually matters! Thank you Jason, Gabriel and Sam for great food, awesome dessert and most of all outstanding customer service!!!

Came here for our victory treat and banana splits were on dad. All the splits had MUSH banana boo! Under new management for the third time, hope they get this under control — has been our favorite spot. Giving 1 star cuz we got our money refunded. Tip: throw those rotten bananas away

When I think fosters freeze I think milk shakes, soft serve, banana splits! Even the lil mascot is a soft serve cone! Closes in about and hour yet I can’t get a damn ice cream? Their machines are all shut down. I’m pregnant, I want a butterfingers ice team twister thing at 11pm. The«under new management» fosters freeze should be able to make it for me.

I love Foster’s, especially this location. It’s not in the greatest state but I’ve been coming here since I was a small child so it always brings back good memories of chocolate dipped cones in summer. I was here recently with my wife telling her all about it how yummy everything was so we went here late at night. The inside had been redone with new menus and everything was very clean with a family enjoying a late dinner. The staff here were really friendly and got our order quickly. They forgot to charge us for a lemonade so we got it on the house. Everything was great especially the double patty burger. I also had a really good peppermint shake like how a peppermint shake should taste like that most fast food places can’t seem to do right. The manager gave us extra time when it closed so we could finish our meal without rushing. From my entire past experience of coming here for over 20 years, I’ve loved every visit. They have a lot more fun and tasty ice cream than most places and their shakes are the best! Thank you so much as always and can’t wait for the next visit!

This place was a huge disappointment. All the food I ordered tasted like it’s been cooked half way then set under a hot lamp, to be microwaved when someone orders it. The ice cream was thrown away beacuse of what looked like tiny pieces of plastic. Overall the prices are too high for a burger I wouldnt give to my dog, and on top of that the new management is not very friendly. 0⁄10 would not recomend

I’ve been coming to this exact fosters for over three decades. Since they sold the place this last time, it’s all gone downhill really quick. I came here two days ago looking for a small combo meal to go. I couldn’t even get helped at the counter, everyone working there completely ignored me for about five minutes. It wasn’t even busy, there were two other customers there who had already ordered and were waiting for their food. Now this is the really bad part. They’ve raised their prices so high now a single burger by itself costs around $ 7.00. That’s just the single patty, regular burger. If you want small fries and a small drink with that single burger, it will cost you about $ 11.00. That’s for their smallest burger combo, all the other combos now cost way over $ 12.00. I’ll never come back here again. I’m Done.

Soooo ok, where do I start. Well I’m giving one star because the guy who gave me water before I ordered was nice and then the guy who took my order. was cute lol ANYWAYYY, I had ordered a root beer float and my cousin ordered a banana milkshake. Ok let’s start with my root beer float, the root beer was good but the ice cream tasted a little bad and like there was chunks of something(not ice) but I didn’t finish it, I just couldn’t. Now on to my cousin, she had got the banana milkshake and then there was these like yellow and black chunky things in it(look at picture) and I’m pretty sure that isn’t supposed to be in any banana milkshake, I maybe thought the yellow things were ting chunks of banana but it seemed to look like more of cookie dough chunks. She was so upset because she wanted to finish it but she kept getting chunks and it was just bad!

Ok, my earlier review above was from when they first opened after the remodel and had an entire new staff. I have been there probably 5 – 6 times in the last month and yes, it seems they have all the training done and all the kinks ironed out. I usually go to Foster Freeze for Ice Cream treats so I can’t comment on the cooked items. But they have those ice cream items down. Glad you guys got everything going good right now, keep it up! I think you guys could increase ice cream sales possible by offering Twister Ice Cream Pies. Of course, depends on the amount of storage you have.

Nice desserts. Tried lime slush and it was fab. Some other things to try: chilli cheese hotdog and foster fries.

Went here the other night for a quick dessert. Overall the staff looks miserable, which is understandable since they are working at a foster freeze. We waited for a while but you could tell they were going as fast as they could. Ice cream is good and cheap so why not!

This place must have changed owners recently. The food has gone to a whole new level. Super tasty burgers, amazingly beautiful women that work the counters, and friendly service. It may still look the same but let me tell you this fast food joint is the go to place in the South Bay. Real bacon, real patties, real tasty food

We decided to try it again about a month ago, but it wasn’t any better. In fact it was worse than the last time. I ordered a corn dog, it was mushy and greasy as if it had been fried, sat around then refried. The fried burrito wasn’t fried long enough so it was soft and my boyfriends burger sucked. Not only that, the prices have gone way up since the old owners and they charged me more than what their signs say. Unfortunately I didn’t realize that until we were home. The employees are not friendly and the guy flipping burgers looked miserable. It’s sad how they are ruining what used to be a yummy place to eat. I will be really surprised if this place lasts.

They reopened with new management and sadly the food and ice cream is less than decent. Only giving two stars for the cleanliness and service… guess I’ll have to find a new place for soft serve!

Place was very clean but I gave it one star only because I ordered a large strawberry and XL triple berry milk shake. I got the bill and it was $ 14.00 for the two items!!! Crazy!!! So I happened to look again at the menu and it was very misleading. I didn’t challenge the prices which was my fault I just paid for it and said to myself… never again will I ever return.

I do not know what the food is like, but I do know the Ice Cream is very good. This is why I come here is for the Ice Cream, and let me tell you they will make it exactly the way you would like it. I come here for soft service ice cream, banana splits, and other yummy items. I do hear the food is OK. I will let other Unilocal’ers answer that for you. As far as the ice cream I would recommend this to you.
