STAY AWAYYYYY!!! I got a groupon with my friends to join for a few weeks for boot camp last year. We both were informed that they keep our credit card informations and we would be charged monthly only if we decided to stay with them, which we never did, yet they kept charging us. We contacted them and they said we were not on their membership list, yet they kept charging us. She talked to the place in person and they stopped. I emailed and contacted them to tell them the same that I did not want to continue my membership and no answer. They called me about my payment because I cancelled that credit card, I told them that I was not going to pay for anything because I did not want to continue my membership from the beginning after the groupon ended. Nothing from them since then. Guess what, today the debt collector called me and told me I owed that boot camp place $ 880 for my membership. This place is SCAMMMMMMM!!! I am seriously sueing this place if they keep harassing me like this.

I was unable to use my Living Social deal as I was never able to get a hold of the business.
I tried setting up an account so I could book my tanning appointment online, but it doesn’t allow me to book anything without paying first and there is no option to enter my voucher.
I tried calling the number to the business included on the voucher (To redeem, call 408−371−8076) and was never able to reach anyone. The line just rings and rings until forwarding to a standardized voice mail that is not professional at all as it doesn’t mention any business information, operating hours, etc.

I left several messages on both voice mails requesting that someone please return my call to assist with redeeming the voucher. I never received a call back from the business.

I don’t know how you run a business this way but the customer service is terrible as it’s literally non-​existent. The website doesn’t even list when they are open!

This has been an ongoing issue for the past several months. On several occasions I have made attempts to call the business and even email them regarding the issue. I gave my cancellation form to the girl at the front desk back in December and was still charged in January.
At that point I attempted to call to figure out what was going on and no one returned my call. Several weeks passed by and as I was unemployed at the time, they attempted to charge me again and the fee was declined because I did not have available funds in my account.
I called them again, and again and even attempted to email them but NO RESPONSE. Another month went by and they decided to charge me again and were successful. At that point I contacted my bank to cancel the charges and could not do so. I instead decided to close that card and get a new one. At that point they claimed that it was a valid charge, had it refunded back to my account and cut off further charges. But now they are still trying to charge me several times a month.
I received a collection letter for the amount of $ 450.00 which happens to be what I assume is the full amount for the past few months. I can’t properly dispute this because NO ONE ANSWERS MY CALLS OR EMAILS except the collection agency which of course is no help at all.
To sum it up: I cancelled my account in December, was still charged, have made several attempts to contact the company (EMAIL AND PHONE) over the past 5 months regarding this issue and no one will respond. I am now stuck with a bill for $ 450 because they lost my cancellation form and won’t answer my attempts to contact them.

Signed up for a Groupon with Eclipse about a year ago for a four week trial. The boot camp trainer was either hitting on the girls or soliciting himself for a job with me. Very unprofessional. In the four weeks I was a member, twice I showed up to a class that had been canceled with no warning on their website. So when I decided to cancel my membership, I tried and tried and couldn’t get a hold of a human being to cancel. I was finally able to cancel online but my card was eventually hit for a second month, even though I had cancelled. I called and called to get my money back and they never did anything about it. I called and asked for a manager 6 times. Six times! And not one single returned call. I also sent in emails online, and had no luck. Needless to say I never got my money back and I never went back. Horrible customer service.

The place is such a guady place — My wife was on as on a Groupon and she was forcefully asked to sign the $ 99 deal even though she wanted to do only 1 month.
After the end of the month, we saw a $ 99 fee on our credit card. My wife called up multiple times and they just go to voice mail. We tried reaching via their website and they do not return emails. This place is scary and my wife does not want to go again. We tried to block the transactions via my credit card. But they filed saying that she signed up for it
These guys are pure cheats. Do not ever ever go for this place

Well I wish I had looked at Unilocal on this Company. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY! I TOO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I signed up October 1, 2013 but my groupon was good until Nov. 15, 2013. They charged my account on November 1, 2013 before my groupon was up. I have tried calling them and no return calls. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY. Buyer beware

I joined this gym with a Groupon and I have to say, I really enjoyed the workouts with Kenny. He’s attentive, fun, and pushes you to work harder. No complaints there.
Like many other people, my issue is with their billing system and lack of knowledge of the front desk staff.
In early November, I cancelled my membership, filled out the form and handed it over. I also emailed the website email that everyone else seems to be having trouble with, and told them to cancel my auto pay. No such luck. It seems as though no one is on the other end of the email address because they attempted to charge my card repeatedly (which had been cancelled due to a fraud situation). Then I started getting phone calls in December telling me that I am past due on my membership by $ 150 and I needed to come in and pay that amount and sign a cancellation form. I told the girl on the phone I had signed a form and she had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently my cancellation form disappeared in to the ether.
I told them I wasn’t going to pay because I cancelled and that I haven’t been to the gym since I signed the cancellation form but they threatened to send me to collections. I should’ve read the reviews before I authorized auto pay and this seems to be a recurring issue with this gym.
So 4 stars for the workout! But one star for the professionalism of the front desk staff, lack of organization and response to cancellation requests, and ridiculous auto pay system that no one seems to take responsibility for.

Okay, I’m not going to drone on and on and I’m not one to jump on Unilocal the minute I am unsatisfied with something, BUT I have to say something. First off, I have no problem with the actual bootcamp and Kenny. I thought it was great and the results were awesome…
Now to the terrible part. I was on a Groupon and at the end of that period my debit card was cancelled from my bank due to fraud (not from eclipse just some scammer). Therefore, my payment did not go through for $ 99. I physically went in and paid with a check. At that time I spoke to Courtney I believe, could be wrong on that. I told her due to dealing with fraud several different times I no longer wanted to be on any auto pay system and that I would pay them each month. I just needed to know the date of their billing cycle. She had no clue. She didn’t even know how to take my money so she asked the actual owner. She said I wasn’t in their system as a member so Chazz said just to put it in as $ 99 of personal training. Whatever. She then told me that they don’t have a $ 99 membership for people not on auto pay. I asked what the monthly fee is otherwise and she didn’t know. She said she would have someone call me. Nobody called… since then I have sent Jessica 6 emails (no responses) and called and spoke to at least 3 different girls who are all confused and say Rachel will call me… no Rachel. Every month they try to run this card that is no longer in existence and when I called this weekend their memory is full on voicemail, lovely.
All I want is for these people to stop trying to run a card that doesn’t exist anymore. If they end up sending me to a collection agency there is going to be a huge problem.

I saw a Groupon deal for this place, so I thought that I’d check out a class first before to see if I liked it before laying down any cash. The owner (Chez?) said sure, so I came for my 6:30 a.m. bootcamp class the following day.
I walked in and there was a small group training with a trainer that looked very bored (I think her name was Stacy). She told me that Kenny should be there soon. So I waited a few more minutes and finally Kenny came.
I told him that I was there to try out a bootcamp class. He apologize for being late, saying that he needed to stop for coffee first. He had me do some warm-​up exercises while waiting for others to show up. Nobody else showed up, so he gave me a personal training session. It was a pretty decent workout, nothing spectacular, but a basic mix of cardio/​strength exercises.
He told me that instead of buying the Groupon deal, I should pay them directly even though it’s not really supposed to happen like that. Like he was giving me a «special deal» under the table.
The whole experience kind of gave me a strange feeling and I wouldn’t trust giving giving them my credit card for sure, especially after reading the reviews.
It’s a shame because I really was hoping that it might work out; it’s very close to my house and the hours work well for me.
I will keep looking…

Do not use this gym!!! I was auto-​charged after signing up for a Groupon deal even though I was told I would only be charged if I decided to join. I have called and/​or e-​mailed every day for the last two weeks with no response other than an admin or manager aren’t on location to help me. I have never come across such an unethical company and will be reporting them to the better business bureau. I urge you not to use this gym even if it seems like a good deal because they will take your money and run.

My problem was also related to the automatic billing and lack of customer service. I’ve been tanning here for over a year, it’s not a super fancy place but it’s very good for the price. Since winter is here, I decided to cancel my membership and auto-​pay, but my credit card was charged again. The lady at the desk instructed me to contact the customer service manager through their website to fix this issue. I sent about 4 emails over the next week, and there was NO response. I just wanted to cancel my membership and get a refund for the extra charge. As a customer, it’s important to feel like you can trust someone with your credit card information! Now I have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. I am disappointed.

I signed up for a Groupon to use this boot camp service. While at my orientation I was given the option to add my card on file just in case I decide I would like to join upon expiration. I was told as long as I cancel before my Groupon expires I will not be charged. I emailed the company a week before my Groupon expired to see what steps I need to take to cancel but did not receive any response, so I went into the gym the very next day and signed the necessary paperwork to cancel. However, my credit card has been charged! I called into the business and spoke with Courtney who said I have to email directly from the website to get to an admin because she cannot help with any financial questions. I had already emailed them the day before speaking to Courtney with no response. This is absolutely ridiculous. I did not even finish using my Groupon because I was not happy with the classes. Besides the fact, I was told if I did extend I would only be charged $ 60 due to a $ 39 credit from the Groupon. The staff is unresponsive and obviously uninformed since they are all giving out different information. I guess I will need to begin filing the necessary paperwork with my bank to dispute the charge since this business is obviously no help at all.
In regards to why I did not like the boot camp: the instructor just names out a bunch of exercises and expects you to know what they are and exactly what you are supposed to do. The room is small and hot and uncomfortable. It’s pretty much the same exact workouts week to week; it does change daily but it repetitive from week to week. The instructor seemed unprofessional and uninterested in new clients. The only upside is that they play good music, but I am not at boot camp for the music.

I went to Eclipse after buying a deal on Groupon. and I will NEVER go back. The beds are not clean and a majority of them were ‘out of service’ every time I came in. The original girl that helped me and my sister our first time told us that after the Groupon was over our credit cards would not be automatically charged for the next month and someone would call us FIRST to make sure we wanted to continue… DID NOT HAPPEN. They charged our cards (at a price that was higher than the package I wanted) and did not refund our money when we spoke with the managers. The girl that was usually there when I went in (I do not remember her name) did not know what she was talking about most of the time and honestly, she looked high every time I saw her.
Oh.and here is the worst part. shortly after starting to use Eclipse tanning beds my sister got RING WORM! .and the managers still were not willing to refund any cost.

I’ve lived one minute away from this place for four years and never considered them until the manager, Kenny, talk me into their reduced-​price boot camp. I have always been a fan of HIIT and boot camp workouts, so I decided to give them a try.
For the past three weeks, I’ved managed to drag myself out of bed at 6am, put on my kicks, and do work. Thanks to my handy-​dandy heart rate monitor, I know I’m burning between 700 – 900 calories per workout and my clothes are already loosening up… not bad for a 50 minute sweatfest.
If you live in the area, give them a try. This is a private gym, but does not have an elite, expensive philosophy. The staff is really nice and willing to do what it takes to make their customers happy and loyal.

I purchased a Groupon for 8 Lumniox sessions at Eclipse because I was tired of sacrificing goats in the name of Lucifer to clear the blemishes on my face
Admittedly I was initially turned off by the location but after my first visit, going back to Eclipse was something I would look forward to. I have never met a staff member that wasn’t anything but friendly and more than willingly to accommodate my needs. Jessica is awesome, I was lucky to run into her on my first visit. She was extremely knowledgeable in how I should spread out my sessions and which lights to use.
Appointments were always available and even drop ins were welcomed. The luminox room is dim, warm, and they played sounds of waves during my session — I guess they were just asking that I’d fall asleep and drool all over their pillows (coincidentally they now put towels over the pillows)

I came here using the trubates coupn for the LED facial package. It was a good deal for 5 treatments and I felt that the treatments made my face tighter (good) and smoothed out my face a bit, though I am still fighting acne of course b/​c that’s just a hormone thing for me. I did a mix of the blue and red light. They told me that I should buy the red tree oil for my face which is anti-​aging. The stuff is really nice but really expensive.
The facility itself is pretty old and the décor/​painting is outdated compared to other tanning salons I have seen. It looks a bit stuck in the last decade with tacky paint colors.

Came to Eclipse Tanning and Fitness because I had a Trubate for 4 Personal Training Sessions. Its located in a small shopping center. The actual exercise area is smaller than your average run of the mill gyms. Most of the staff is friendly. On my second day of training I got there ten minutes early and noticed the door was locked but there was another one open, I walked in and waited at the front desk. There was another trainer nearby and he didn’t say hello or asked if I needed help. After five minutes of waiting, I turned to the trainer nearby and asked if my trainer was here and he simply replied, «No.»
Mornings tend to be über busy, which in a cozy place doesn’t provide for a good training experience (at least for myself). The music is good and the overall atmosphere is clean and clutter free. My trainer worked me hard to the bone. This is not a gym where you can drop in just for cardio, this is a place where people exclusively work out with their personal trainers. Personal training runs from $ 50 a session, I was recommended to go at least 3X a week. Unfortunately, $ 600 dollars a month for a personal trainer is definitely not in the budget! I think I’ll stick to the YMCA at $ 49 dollars a month!
