Charis Wolf, MS, LAc., Dipl. Ac, is a licensed acupuncturist and a clinical herbalist practicing in the tradition of Classical Chinese Medicine. She has been treating patients for 10 years, has 10 years of herbal training and 4 years of Chemistry including laboratory experience doing biomedical research.

Charis’ experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine currently includes working on her PhD through AUCM with a focus on preventing cancer and Oncology support. Previous experience includes; work with Bob Levine treating patients with cancer and chronic illnesses, Dr. Wu’s Healing Clinic specializing in Women’s Health and currently running her own practice; Aion Health. Her focus on internal medicine begins with systemic balancing, genetic testing for nutrition, herbal medicine and acupuncture to address any disharmony or dysfunction.

I’ve been coming to Charis for 8 months and feeling so much better now than when I started. I had gone thru breast cancer in 2009, had the lump removed, followed by 5 months of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation, and 5 years of Tamoxifen drug. I started with Charis when I was all done with the regimen of 5 years of Tamoxifen. I came to ask if there was anything I can do about the neuropathy in feet (numbness in toes) caused by the chemo, However after her initial analysis of situation, where I also mentioned fast heart rate and hot flashes due to meds and the early menopause caused by it all, she worked on reducing the heat in my body. Within a couple sessions I started to feel relief. We started out weekly, then switched to every 2 weeks with daily herbs. The pulse feels much better now, the heat in body feels released, and we are now focusing more on the toe neuropathy, which have also shown improvement. She has a wonderful calming bed-​side manner, and shares knowledge for other issues as well. I trust her skills, guidance, and intuition. She has used acupuncture, herbs, magnets and essence rubs to handle whatever ailments I may be feeling at the time, from stress to toe numbness, to heat within body, to even some fears. I wish i had come to her earlier when I was actually going thru the chemo and drugs, rather than wait over 5 years. Definitely I highly recommend her and will continue to see her for better and better health no matter what the symptoms may be.

Charis is a gifted practitioner. I met here when I was in the midst of undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment at Stanford– far from my home in Sonoma County. I came to Charis for weekly acupuncture sessions. Her healing ministrations helped keep me grounded and alive during one of the most difficult journeys of my life. I will always be forever grateful.

I had never seen an acupuncturist before visiting Charis and was somewhat hesitant about the idea, since I hate the thought of needles. Charis listened to my concerns and was personable and understanding. She did a thorough assessment of my needs and my health and walked me through the process and purpose of acupuncture. I not only gained an educational experience, but I also felt great after the session — more relaxed, better balanced, and ready for another session!

I have been seeing Charis for over 2 years now. We started up by treating a pelvic organ prolapse. However, in each visit she would address all of the other problems I had with great success: stress, UTI (I never had to take antibiotics for this one), digestive problems, pain. She really takes the time to listen to you and to figure out what the cause is rather than just treat symptoms. She is willing to work with other practitioners/​doctors you are seeing for the problem to ensure that you get the best care possible. She will spend time researching other solutions for a particular issue that is hard to solve. She is caring, knowledgeable and professional. I have even taken my two preschoolers to see her and she is great with kids. She doesn’t use needles on them, but essential oils and herbs. She treated me throughout my pregnancy and it was the best pregnancy ever. She induced me twice and I think that helped my body prepare for labor really well. I only had a 4 hour labor and baby was out — healthy 9lb baby boy born naturally without drugs. I definetely recommend Charis to anyone who is growing a bit tired of western medicine.

I just had an acupuncture treatment from Charis to help reduce wrinkles in my face. I was very curious to see just how the results would be and I am really surprised. A deep one on my lip and another on my chin are not there anymore and my laugh lines are softened somewhat. It’s really true!
A very nice relaxing atomosphere, mini getaway and wrinkle reducer. Pretty amazing.

I’ve have been a patient of Charis’s for a couple of years now. I see her for help with peri-​menopause, insomnia and metabolism issues. She always makes me feel better and and I love the treatments! Very relaxing and the needles are not an issue!
Not only do I see Charis for my health care but I am also a Chiropractor and we co-​manage patients together! Together chiropractic and acupuncture are so beneficial!
I highly recommend Charis! She is extremely knowledgeable and loving and passionate about her profession and helping people!

I’m afraid of needles… That said Charis is an excellent acupuncturist. She was patient and understanding of my concerns and listened carefully to my issues. In the end I was very happy I allowed her to treat me. She will work with you to help your body recover, treating the root of the problem and not hide the symptoms like too many western doctors do now with drugs. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Charis Wolf, LAc highly enough. Her technique is based upon a deeply-​connected-​to-​Source basis. I’ve gone to her for treatment for a variety of issues from tennis elbow (the ONLY relief from the pain I had was after her treatments until it finally healed completely) to helping me with anxiety over the cancer diagnosis of my best friend.
Her treatments are comprehensive and painless. She is well versed in herbs, essential oils, nutrition, and has a manner that is confident and compassionately empathetic. I’ve told my friends about her, now YOU should go see her too! You’ll feel so much better.
