Quick review about this place. 1) EXTREMELYOVERPRICED: If Chachos was located anywhere else, it would surely be out of business. People will only pay $ 3 plus dollars for your average $ 1 street taco when drunk, and luckily for them they are right in the middle of a bunch of bars. $ 13 for nachos with meat, seriously $ 13? #FOH 2) THEFOODISNOTTHATGOOD: $ 4 tacos and damn near $ 13 Nachos are ridiculous and the portions are meek. I’m sure Chachos makes 95% of their revenue between the hours of 11:30pm through 2:00am when people are sh*t faced drunk and too inebriated to realize they are being ripped off. I bought my $ 13 dollar nachos last night 12÷29÷11 while intoxicated and the Nachos still sucked. If food tasted bad when your drunk, thats not a good sign. I definitely wont ever be eating here again. To recap, Chachos is extremely expensive for what you get(NOBANGFORYOURBUCKHERE) and the food is really not that good. What happened to the Chacho’s I remembered in downtown San Jose? Not a single trace remains…

Food is Decent, El Pastor was good. WAYWAYTOOOVERPRICED. I have come here twice and both times i felt like i got robbed. Not really worth it, there are so many better places to grab Mexican food in the south bay. Crap i would go to Del Taco any-day before i go back here. Cheers :-)

This place strikes me as a copycat of Sancho’s in Palo Alto/Redwood City. If it is a copycat, it doesn’t do a very good job of copying the original. Which isn’t to say that it is terrible(it isn’t), but just to say that Sancho’s is far, far better than this place. If I were looking for tacos in downtown Campbell, I’d go to Aqui instead. It isn’t great either, but the food is better and the flavors are more interesting than Chacho’s.

The wife and I had just moved to Campbell and were needing some good late night morsels to energize an exhausting day of painting. We happened upon Chacho’s and were delighted with the results. The food was delicious on all counts. I chose the Carne Asada burrito and it was delicious. My only complaint being it needed to be shredded a bit more; still that is but an insignificant complaint over all. It was delicious, and we will be back.

What does Chocho’s and«real» Mexican food have in common… nothing! We’ll that is to say that Chacho’s is a Mexican place but lets just say I’ve had much better. And the price, a bit to much for what I got to eat.(you can see a picture I’ve uploaded) You know I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food, and needless to say it could of been better. I think I paid something like $ 4.34 for 2 tiny tacos. When i got my order the meat was all spread through out the box too. Before paying I noticed they had some type of loyalty program for purchasing food. Being cheap, I mean value oriented, I had to pick one of these bad boys up. After getting back home I come to find that the cashier didn’t even sign me up… WHAT! I mean isn’t that how a business improves? Keeping track of who there customers are and what their buying habits are. Oh well, maybe next time this place will get it right, bigger portions, and better value. I’m going to Super Taqueria. Btw. Looks like Richard and Skyler got the better end of the deal, and I got the bottom of the barrel:(

If you(after partying at the Cardiff) are looking for hot latino waiters to pour your water and hang on your every word as you attempt to string together semi coherent, pithy ponderings to mask your shallowness, then you friggin need to move on. We don’t want your kind at Chacho’s. Chacho’s is a down home grubbin type dive. If you didn’t come here to eat, then you need to get your butt out of the line. Those in the know, will wait in the line for their food(which moves at a snail’s pace because people don’t do their homework and have no idea what to order). Here’s the deal, YOUCOMETOCHACHO’s for 2 things: CARNITAS&CHAVELA. Bear in mind, you may have to wait a bit after ordering to get your chavela. They have a limited amount of the chavela glasses and if a large party comes in to order them, you will have to wait until those glasses are bussed and washed before yours arrives. I’m convinced the carnitas has crack in them! It’s so flavorful and moist. Expect a line on Sundays because of the Farmer’s Market, and don’t get upset at the staff because of the line. It’s not their fault that so many people get their Chacho’s fix on Sundays. **Nachos — order if you are really in the mood for a lot of chips and stuff. Order this if you are REALLY hungry. You can get the cheese nacho and add meat for $ 1 for the kids that just want meat and cheese. **Taco — order the regular if you just want meat(use the salsa bar for the toppings) OR order the super taco for the guacamole, pico de gallo, & sour cream. Order these if you have a smaller appetite. **Quesadilla — meat and cheese in a fried torilla, comes with the guacamole, pico de gallo, & sour cream. Perfect if you have an average appetite and want to fill full but not stuffed. Café seating on the patio area is perfect when you are eating with your pup. YAYDOG-FRIENDLY! gotta love Campbell. Interior seating is large picnic style tables, so you will have to share when it gets busy. don’t forget. .. . order chavela for a buzz and carnitas for yummy goodness.

No thanks! Went here after Cardiff on Saturday. Even in my nonsober state, they failed to serve delicious nachos. It was suppose to be a carne asada super nachos. Where was the cheese? My nacho chips were naked with barely enough sour cream, guacamole and definitely not enough meat for $ 10. Such a rip off.

This place opens until 2AM from Wed-Sat. I don’t know how good this food tastes without alcohol but with alcohol, their loaded nachos is a $ 9 ticket to heaven. It gets crowded here on a Saturday night so start your hunt early for seats.

I don’t like Mexican food… well, i take that back… I hate beans, I hate cilantro, I hate spicy stuff, I don’t like peppers or tomatoes, and I much prefer rice over potatoes(yes, I’m Asian –_-) so Mexican food is never top on my list… but my buddy made me come here with him and I CAN’T STOP. Been here twice in the last 12 hours. Who knew they could take Asian fast food and wrap it in a tortilla!!! Rice, Eggs, and fried Spam, wrapped in a tortilla. HEAVEN. And available all morning, day, and till 2am at night?!? This was a dangerous discovery. I’m a fan!!! And now when my friends want Mexican food, I know where I can go and be happy!

Who remembers the Blue Monkey and the tacos served downstairs at the bar? I think I ate 5 every time I went to that bar. The meat was on a spit, like the Greek gyros-style, with a pineapple on the top of the al pastor meat and was so freaking good! Well, lo and behold! The dude from Blue Monkey is over at Chacho’s, and they have those flipping tacos! One bummer though, they do not taste the same. The tortillas are not really meshed in with the flavor of the al pastor, but they still are good. The tacos are the same on the menu as they were at Blue Monkey, so all they need to do is put a little more love in those tacos,(for example, warm the tortillas!) and they will be perfect!

Buddy Night! Came here last week with N and M to chill and have a few drinks. I can’t comment on their full meals since we all had chips — but they were warm and tasty and I loved each other their sauces! Especially the orange and white cream sauce — Divine. I ended up ordering a sangria and they ordered their Micheladas. My drink was really sweet but nothing to cry home about. I tasted their drink and it was a bit soupy but I liked the flavor of it — I do love Bloody Mary’s, though. There were a few ppl there eating so I got to see a few items go out and everything looked scrumptious. I want to come back here and devour their nachos… Mmmmmmmmm nachos…

Really cool spot in Campbell’s main drag — this isn’t the best Mexican food you’ll ever have, but it’s solid, in a chill atmosphere with outdoor seating. Here’s the rundown on the grub: –Tabinque — excellent taco — probably the best thing on their menu –Shrimp taco was weak — take a pass –Al Pastor, carnitas & pollo tacos were pretty good but not mind blowing –Solid chips — green salsa is the way to go Review is a 3.5, but I rounded up because of the atmosphere.

My friends and I decided to go here for dinner instead of the usual Chicken Coop and Aqui. I was definitely not disappointed. I got two tacos, the Tabinque and a Super Fish. Both were delicious and flavorful. I washed both down with a Pacifico and a Cerveza. We also had chips and salsa, which was also good. The orange salsa was very spicy. I like how the restaurant is all open in the front but it was definitely cold. Good thing that I was drinking alcohol. This place is perfect for the summer time for late night grubbing after hanging out at the Cardiff Lounge or any of the nearby bars.

So I gave this Place 2 starts. I have ate here twice now, and each time I have ordered the same exact thing. The Regular Chicken burrito with Sour Cream in it. And both times they have failed to add the sour cream. And when I brought it back to the staff member to tell them that it was incorrectly made they would give me attitude. The food was mediocre, at best. I wasn’t really impressed with it. It was kind of boring to be quite honest. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is for 2 reasons. 1. They sell Sangria here 2. They are open late, so if you are out in downtown Campbell parting. It’s great to have a place to go eat, that’s not fast food. Great drunk food. lol.

First time there due to a UYE( ) next door, and will return if there’s another event. No, it was not because of the $ 2 al pastor regular tacos — that was a disappointment(possible TMI to follow). No, it was due to the friendliness from the staff… at least on this one Friday night. Plus, the décor was nice and clean for a taqueria, and there was outdoor seating. So, three out of four criteria(criterium?) being met ain’t bad and I’d try something else the next time there. The Modelo Especial was $ 5. Wha? Okay, the main beef(pun intended) was the al pastor meats were on the bland side and a bit dry. The smallish lemon/kumquat whatsitcall barely had any juice but that’s okay since you can use two or three to make up for it. There were no other pickled vegs to go with the tacos. The hot sauce was spicier than expected but that’s okay since it provided a kick to make me forget how forgettable the tacos were. Well, I didn’t forget as my stomach reminded me of it the entirety of the next day! Also, I got a number of those al pastor tacos for communal-share — with old and newly-met friends — and am surprised they all haven’t defriended me. Hah! o_+

I just want to kick things off by saying that this is the first review that I’ve written in over a year. Sometimes you need a little inspiration to provide that kick in the ass to get things rolling. Chacho’s, thanks for the inspiration! Hands down the WORST breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I ordered the eggs & chorizo with potatoes breakfast burrito and didn’t even make it through a quarter of this lump of flavorless grease. I mean, I know chorizo tends to be greasy, but this was out of control! The oil was literally running down my arm as I took my first few bites, it was almost as if they emptied the grease trap into my burrito. I was also frustrated by the waitress’ lack of knowledge when it came to the menu and her inability to operate the cash register. To be fair, it’s possible that it was her first day on the job. Also took about 10 minutes for them to serve up the ungodly grease bomb. Again, I haven’t written a review in a year so take my word for it when I say I absolutely HAD to write a review to discuss my experience. Would have given them one star, but I haven’t tried any of their other food so to be fair, perhaps I’ll give the tacos a shot and update my review after that.

Besides the friendly service, festive atmosphere, and great location, their tacos were a force to be reckoned with. Thanks to Vijay P, I had the pleasure to feast on some lip-smackin tacos which included their drippin carnitas and grilled fish tacos… and I’m usually not into fish tacos. Their al pastor and carne asada were flavorful, but were a bit dry for me. The Michelada was amazing with a rim of lime, salt, and chili powder(reminded me of tamarind candy). This Mexican bloody mary drink included beer, worcestershire sauce, and clamato juice? I didn’t think I’d like it… but I sure did! Thanks Daniele D! And thanks to Richard G and Yvonne C for hosting a wonderful Friday night UYE.

Amazing music accompanied from some bomb ass grilled fish tacos! The wait staff cannot be anymore accommodating, upbeat and on point. I love the small taco bar environment. Last night Chacho’s had a group playing some covers like Mana, Enanitos Verdes… super chido. The food. The grilled fish tacos were perfect. fresh clean flavors Nachos were spicy… lots of cheese… lots of different jalapenos(chopped, whole, sliced YUM!) I never come down to downtown Campbell on a Friday night. all I have to say is COUGARCENTRAL holy crap!

We had a late dinner here last week, and were very pleased with our visit. The guys working here are incredibly nice, and really helpful(especially for such a low priced restaurant.) The food is pretty good, my only complaint is all the salsas are really hot. I’d like a little more variety of heat. I had a shrimp taco, and a grilled fish taco. Both were good, and tasted very fresh. Some other reviewers complained about skimpy portions of fish in theirs, and I can’t say I had that problem. Both my tacos were really full of of big chunks of fish, and the the shrimp had lots of shrimp in it. I got both sans cabbage, so maybe that had something to do with it. This place is a major improvement over Slice, and already seems to be doing much better. It’s a great addition to our downtown. I hope they continue to do well:) It’s also nice to have somewhere that’s open late!

The new Chacho’s is outstanding! The first thing to note, is that Chacho’s is now a taqueria rather than a sit down restaurant. Keep this in mind if you plan on visiting with a group. Calling ahead to give a heads up to the staff would be a great idea. The owner and employees are super sweet, and can totally accommodate. The menu has been changed a bit, but they still serve enchiladas, chile rejenos, and I even noticed Albondigas on the menu. Chacho’s even sells sides of their enchilada sauce, which I think is brilliant! Their enchilada sauce is unlike any I have ever had! Chacho’s offers aquas frescas too! The tacos were delicious! I tried a variety of tacos: Carne asada, pastor, veggie, and fish. All were on point. The asada and pastor tasted just like my beloved legendary Blue Monkey tacos. The grilled veggie taco was full of mushrooms, zuchinni, onions, and shredded cheese. Delicious! The fish taco came with shredded cabbage and white sauce. The fish was very fresh! I had mine flaked, but you have the option of ordering it deep fried as well. I added some of Chacho’s orange sauce for some extra flavor. Their orange sauce is not as spicy as some of the other orange sauces in the area, but it’s super tasty! I would put it on ice cream, let’s put it that way! The décor is warm, inviting, colorful, and very artistic. Everywhere you look– there is something especial! The star lanterns add a nice warm glow to the indoor portion of the dining area. The décor is amazing, right up to the ceiling! On Sundays, Chacho’s offers drinks specials on their mimosas and sangria. LOVELOVELOVE the fact that they are located right next to Cardiff Lounge. Grab some dinner and drinks, and then catch some grooves right next door! Perfect! This is as good as it gets!
