Campbell Park

After picking up a frisbee at Sports Basement, my boyfriend and I randomly decided to come here because it was the closest park around. It’s a really nice park that is suitable for people of all ages. They have a few little playgrounds, a basketball court, and big open field spaces. There’s even a trail that seems to go pretty far so I would love to come back to maybe run or bike it.

I love Campbell Park. This is my go to spot for a nice run or bike ride to Los Gatos. The trail gets pretty crowded at peek times with bikers, joggers, dog walkers, and group walkers, but for the most part, everyone is very mindful of each other and pass you or move to their right when they are slower. Campbell does a great job of maintaining this park. It’s very safe and family/​pet friendly.

Great park for people of all ages. If you walk further down you’ll hit Los Gatos Creek Trail if you want to do some bike riding/​exploring. The handful of times I have been here the park was relatively clean even though there is always quite a few people around. I should mention it is a dog friendly park. I sometimes bring my dog for walks around the grass and back trails, never had a problem with other peoples dogs either. It’s also a great park for you basketball players out there since they have a good sized court to play on. Definitely worth taking a couple hours out of the weekend to experience this park, I highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite parks in Campbell/​San Jose. It is a nice park, that is connected to Los Gatos Creek Trail. I haven’t been back here until last weekend, walked off that thanksgiving meal. Great for friends, family, walking the dog etc. Having a picnic, long walks on the trail .
The park itself has a basketball court, playground for the kids, lots of greenery, nature, trees.

I really enjoy this park! It is cute, small, and connected to a lovely running trail called Los Gatos Creek Trail. There’s always people here, either socializing, hanging out with their family and friends, or exercising. I think it is a really perfect size for those who come with children since there are playgrounds and swings here. This is also a perfect park for those who love to play basketball. Every time I come here, there are always people playing ball.
Another perk is that the bathroom is pretty clean! I am always prepared for the no toilet no seat cover when I go to parks, but this one in particular have not failed me once yet. (Hmm… perhaps it is because I always come here on early weekday mornings). Anyways, the women’s bathroom has two stalls. There is one in particular for the little ladies and there’s another one for the adults — super cute!
Tip– parking lot is small so plan accordingly or you’d have to look for street parking

This park is great as an entrance to the Los Gatos Creek Trail, which has a lot of entrances. There’s plentiful parking (no issues on a Saturday morning) and it’s close to Downtown Campbell, which means there’s something to do before or after a nice hike.
As for the park itself, there are lots of basketball courts and pretty good space. The playground, however, is not fantastic. It was good enough for my twins after a short hike, but I probably wouldn’t take them here just to play and not for the trail.

My friends and I decided to come here to take a stroll after our dinner. The park is very close by Downtown Campbell, so we just walked a few blocks to the park.
You walk into the park seeing the huge basketball courts. It would be a nice location to play at, except I don’t play the beautiful game. There’s also a little green/​quad area for you to sit down and enjoy the nice weather, or even a small picnic! A lot of people do bike/​run/​walk/​walk their dogs down the trail. I would definitely do the same if I lived close by. It’s a nice trail for running longer distances, which is hard to find. I think it also connects to another park at the end of the trail, too, according to my friend.
Overall, this is a pretty nice park. You can do a lot here, too. Meet up with some friends, play some basketball, and stroll/​jog a bit!

This is an amazing park! I go here all the time to meet up with friends and go on bike rides or long runs. It’s in a perfect location because the Los Gatos Creek Trail is right there which can take you all the way up to the Lexington Reservoir. But if you want to relax and enjoy the day, the park is really nice and includes basketball courts, a playground for the kids and a good amount of open space filled with green grass. Plus, if you walk up the trail 1 mile, there is a nice dog park. The only downside is the parking lot is really small and thus always full. But usually, a quick search on the street will solve that problem.

Went here yesterday with my 4 yr old and an entire part of the playground was taped off due to broken play equipment. So there was not much to do. The «water play» area was disgusting, muddy and dirty and since everything around it was broken we didn’t even go in that area and quickly left. It’s also strange how the slides are, the children have to leave the play area to go up near the parking lot to slide down them. My son was confused if it was safe for him to go up to the tube slide alone, since he had to go outside the fence to get to it and he knows not to go out the fence without me at playgrounds.

This park used to be really nice when we first moved here. But over the last year and a half it has gone downhill fast with respect to the playground. The city does not maintain the childrens equipment and when things break they caution tape it and leave it indefinitely (see photos). Also, even though there is a drought, they keep the faucet in the toddler area on — so it’s a constant muddy pit of filthy tanbark and sand that just wastes water and annoys parents. City of Campbell, are you really so broke that you can’t fix and update broken equipment?

I like this park. I come here to do long runs. Using this park is free, and everyone is equal here whether you’re rich or poor.

Oh the good old Campbell, this is for the court. After all this years, even with the dying of outdoor basketball, I can still count on finding a game here at the park.
I feel the players are different but maybe because I got older and got soft from playing indoor the past few years. However whenever I come to Campbell and ball, the lets get rough up feeling always comes out.
Yes you can call me old and soft since I prefer indoor basketball, but whenever my friends ask me to come, I will always show up.

A great park that is connected to the Los Gatos Creek Trail, it has a little bit of everything. Parking, two basketball courts, a kids playground, and restroom facilities. I enjoy the nerdy information that is located near the water fountains about the random birds you can see at the creek, a map that shows you the entire Los Gatos Creek Trail, and some community information in the Campbell area.
Sadly, the hobos have taken up residence right outside the park. I don’t necessarily mind hobos, but they seem to collect random amounts of garbage that they carry with them, and then set up shop over by the creek. What’s good is the Campbell Police Department has come through on their off-​road motorbikes and made them pack up. Unfortunately, they only seem to move about 10 feet away from their residence, only to go back when the police leave. The community has really gotten together to clean up the graffiti that has become out of hand, and for the most part the garbage is cleaned up.
It’s nice to see that our neighbors take pride in our community!

I like to start here every time I run the Los Gatos Creek trail. The park is clean, has a parking lot and a bathroom. I love that there is always so much fitness going on here all the time. There are people playing bball, bootcamp classes and tons of ppl running/​biking through the park. I even saw a hula hoop class happening once. The parking lot is of a decent size but there is also plenty of street parking. I’ve never had an issue with parking. The bathroom is not that bad for a public bathroom. Just make sure you use the right stall in the women’s bathroom.
Great starting point for long runs. From here you can get to Vasona Lake in Los Gatos. To Vasona Lake and back to the park, you can get in about 10 miles.

Met a friend here to go walking and had no idea this place even existed! Basketball court, lots of grass, and a trail that is good for walking, running, and biking. Everyone here is friendly, but just a couple too many raccoons out here! Plenty of parking which is a plus!

Well maintained park for parents, kids, and a great rest stop for the joggers and bikers! From playgrounds to basketball courts to shade and for the easy access to the trail. Makes you want to get out of there and get going.
I love how everyone is respectable to each other. Mostly everyone my bf and I run into say, «Hello!» And it sure does make all the difference in the world.
The only reason why I knocked off a star was because of the drug dealers in the parking lot… you gotta be a lot smoother man… and dirty restrooms. Yuck!

Campbell Park is really pretty and great for recreational runners, walkers, and cyclists because it connects right into the Los Gatos Creek Trail. There are also a few basketball courts, picnic benches, large grassy areas, and great playgrounds for kids.
The one thing that has bothered me consistently over the past year and a half that I’ve been coming here is the awful restroom! The women’s restroom ALWAYS has one of its two toilets leaking and there is always a gross puddle of dirty water/​toilet paper/​toilet seat covers, on the floor of that leaky (or is it overflowing) stall. Why does no one fix this and clean up the restrooms? I also go to Vasona Lake Park not too far away, and their restrooms are always the cleanest, best maintained park restrooms I’ve ever seen!

MY nine year old came in 46^th overall in the Oktoberfest here 2013…
And Yesterday came in 32^nd overall in the Valentines day run!
He plans on bringing some smoke in the St. Paddy’s day run in March! Bring it! :).

Running on the Los Gatos Creek Trail is such a delight! We usually stop at Campbell park for a water break. Its dog friendly, there’s enough play area for kids, for people to run/​walk and its very clean. It seems to be quite popular so If you come directly to the park, you might have trouble finding parking especially on the weekends.
