Campbell Ford Performance

These guys are legit.
My truck was making some bangs and pops. I made an appointment on Wednesday night for Friday morning. Dropped of my truck for a diagnostic. About two hours later they called with the diagnosis: spider gears & clutch pack in the diff are toasted. The quote on the labor was very reasonable.
Originally they were going to charge me a $ 110 diagnostic fee, but when I picked it up they only charged me $ 55…SCORE!
They work solely on Fords which is a major selling point for me as I have a ’94 Bronco and a ’13 Mustang Boss 302.

My Ranger only gets serviced here since I got it 6 years ago. Always great turn around and honest work/​communication.
However today (a Friday afternoon) I got to experience how awesome they are. I had my ranger towed to the shop in the morning when it shut off on me on the freeway. They quoted me for looking into what happened, then later had let me know the timing belt had broken. They knew I needed it for work the following monday so they went right at it to get things taken care of. So grateful for the hard and honest work.

I was quite happy with the service. Figured out the problem of why the truck engine would stop running while on the road and wouldn’t start again. Let us know the status before doing the repair. Just to clarify… the owner alleviated my concern about the earlier bad Unilocal review. They only do mechanical work on Ford vehicles and that’s all they specialize in. They don’t do body work.

I have been doing business with Bob Brink and Campbell Ford Performance since 1994, They have provided high quality service on our Ford ‘hot rods’ and our daily Ford and Lincoln cars and truck. They have provided simple service such as an oil change to much more complicated issues… and I have never needed to return for a ‘second try’ to fix any issue we may have had on any of our vehicles. And the work and service has always been provided at a reasonable charge.
If Unilocal had 10 stars for a rating… Campbell Ford Performance would get 11! I suggest that you not even have a second thought about doing business with Campbell Ford Performance! They really are that good…

They refused to give me a written estimate for the repairs… I was told that it wasn’t worth their time to write it up. I left and brought my car to Frontier Ford. They gave me a written estimate in less than ten minutes.
I will never go to Campbell Ford Performance again.

These guys are great. I’ve been going here for years and each experience leaves me feeling secure in the work done on my car and the people that are doing it. They are honest, straightforward and efficient. I highly recommend them.

This is the best Ford repair shop I’ve found. I took my 1969 Torino there to fix an oil leak in the intake manifold. I wanted it ready by Friday for a Saturday car show — they finished the work Wednesday afternoon. Cost was well below the estimate. Their work was first class — they cleaned up the intake manifold and valve covers almost like new. Bob had some helpful suggestions about hose clamps and engine tuning. He let me check on the car while work was in progress.
This is a first class business all the way! Car looks good and runs great. I would recommend Campbell Ford Performance to any Ford enthusiast.

I took my 2005 F-​150 to Bob after my MIL light came on and started experiencing engine stuttered under load. This was under a month after doing scheduled maintenance at the dealership I used to frequent in another state, so I was leery about going to a local dealership just to experience more headaches.
Bob was very professional and thorough, and diagnosed and fixed the spark issue that was causing problems at a very reasonable price and with very quick turnaround. My truck has been running perfectly ever since.
This should be a model for how all mechanics should be. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was going to sell my expedition 6 years ago, but decided to keep it since it was so useful. I have been taking it to Campbell Ford whenever it needed repairs, and they have been consistently great. They even told me I didn’t have a problem when I thought my air suspension was leaking — they were right, and saved me a lot of money. I still highly recommend them.

About a year ago I needed a new clutch in my Mustang Mach 1 and wasn’t sure where I could trust to take it. I found this place driving by and immediately thought to inquire. I’m so glad I did! They had the best price for parts and service. (The dealer wanted $ 995 for the clutch alone) This place had the factory clutch with installation for less. Before I took it in I read some of the reviews here and felt good about going there. The guys there were very friendly and knowledgeable. The clutch is working great and I will continue to take my car there in the future.

An update to the review — it has now been more than 12 years that we have taken all of our Fords to Ron and Bob at Campbell Ford Performance. From the classic Mustang to the current Explorer, they have repaired and serviced six of our family cars and trucks over the years. Being able to talk to the people who will be doing the work is very important: having these people to be honest, knowledgeable, and fair is outstanding. Getting a thorough report when the repair is completed is another high point for this shop.
Now if they would take on our Model A Fords…
I recommend Campbell Ford to family members and friends with a Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln.

Fantastic shop! Just took my Mustang there because my «check engine» light came on. They did a full diagnostic and reported that the problem was just some junk preventing a good seal from properly sealing — no replacement or repairs needed.
If I took it to the dealer, there is no doubt they would’ve replaced some part that didn’t need replacing and charged 5X what Campbell Ford charged. First time that the «check engine» light resulted in a paltry $ 100 bill! Was expecting a LOT bigger tab, based on past experience with the Ford dealer.
I’ll be trading in/​selling my Mustang for another one in the next few years, and you can bet I’ll take the new one to this place for everything as well!

Havn’t been here in a while, but let me tell you, these are good people.
Bob recently became the new owner of this establishment. Before I started working on my car myself, I would bring it here. I’m not so good at diagnosis, so sometimes I need to defer that business to Campbell Ford Performance for help. They’re so friendly that sometimes I’ve just called to tell them about updates to my automotive lifestyle.
Bob was the mechanic who worked on my car the most — hes an EEC-​IV specialist and is very good with working with «modern vintage» cars. They’ve also done repairs on my gf’s Focus.
They are very professional, work with integrity, and understand each individual customer’s situation. They work to come up with solutions that are appropriate for you.
Definitely good people.

After reading the reviews on Ford Dealerships in the area, I really didn’t want to take my Escape Hybrid to any of them. I found Campbell Ford Performance on Unilocal and decided to give them a chance. After all, I only needed an oil change (according to the Oil Life System) and maybe a quick once-​over to make sure there was nothing really wrong with it. It’s my first hybrid (and it’s used) and it makes unfamiliar noises occasionally so I just wanted to be sure it’s OK.
Well, I’m really glad I went to these guys. Not only are they courteous, they actually know what they are talking about! Refreshing! They also figured out that my oil DIDN’T need changing — it’s was just that the Oil Life System hadn’t been reset the last time the oil was changed. They still gave it a test drive to make sure all was working well (which it was), explained to me how the hybrid system works (why I hear what I hear) and sent me on my way with NO CHARGE!
How many places do you know that won’t do unnecessary work and still not charge you for looking at the vehicle in the first place. I will definitely be coming back here when I actually do need some work done on my Escape.

Been taking my now long gone Ford Escort and current Ford Focus to these guys for years. They are great. I’m only online looking today because they don’t do GMC vehicles:-(If they did I’d have it over there now. I brought a laundry list of ridiculous «needed repairs» to them from the oil change & repair shop on the corner by my house and they told my what really needed to be done, what was optional, and what was a total waste. Love having a shop like that, definitely earned my return business.

Campbell Ford is the only place I take my cars and trucks to. I have been going to Campbell Ford for over 15 years Very friendly staff and Ron the owner is a good guy. If you are looking for an honest dependable mechanic, Campbell Ford is the place. I know I am not getting ripped off.

I have been taking my Fords to these guys for about 10 years. They are extremely fair and honest. I’m now living in San Mateo and drive all the way to Campbell to have my Expedition serviced. I have tried other mechanics since my move and NONE even come close in price and quality of service. These guys are the «real deal.»

These guys do quality work. Honestly they repair with no questions asked. They repaired our ford vans brakes and they ran like a champ.

I took my Ford Focus ZX3 here today to figure out some shifting problems. The guys here are AWESOME! Timely, courteous, excellent work, and fairly priced. I’ve found my new go-​to Ford shop. :)
Also, they are right next to a $ 5 movie theater so I just hung out there while they worked, haha. They are also right next to the light rail.
