It is a long story of short collaboration… Just run away from this bank if you want to save time, money and nerves.

I have a clear spend visa with BBVA (prepaid) where I load the money on the account and spend it. First the tellers do not know how to complete the transaction so it takes a long time every time and they need help. Secondly they do not provide a receipt. I usually check my balance because I need to make sure that they have credited my account. The one time I did not check my balance, they did not load the money correctly to my account. My online payment that I had linked to this card was declined. I called the next day and gave them my information and the teller that took my payment and they said they would get back to me. They never called me back. What company does not give you receipts for your payment??? No receipt and you do not have proof payment was made. I can not trust them now. Absolutely unacceptable!!!

This bank is the biggest joke ever. Turnover is high. Never come here. Never want to do business with them again. Stay clear. Go next door to Wells Fargo or chase.

Their ATM machine is a hit or miss. Sometimes it takes my money, sometimes it doesn’t. :-(

Closed checking and saving account with them. Planning on closing the credit card as well, not worth my time :(

Every time I walk into this location, the service is fast and friendly. The branch manager Pedro is on top of everything that goes on in this branch, he has greatly helped me with both personal and business transactions. I wish the level of service provided at this branch was available everywhere! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

i get an alert in the evening that a hard credit inquiry was taken by them

Received great customer service here today from a teller named Daisy, who helped me with a transaction and changed my account address, all while carrying on conversation about my move to the area and some background info on her husband’s move here, too. She was super friendly, sweet, and efficient at multitasking and getting my requested tasks done correctly and fast.
Love that I was able to find a location so close to my new home– a location back in Texas did a search for me and said there weren’t any, but I knew I had seen one, very odd. In any case, this location has saved me the hassle of moving banks– I’ve had great service for several years with the company, and today’s visit makes me think we’ve still got a few good years left together.

I have been with Compass bank for a couple years now (started when they were Guaranty bank). Fortunately, I have not had any issues regarding identity theft so have no complaints there.
What I like about this bank is that they have always been very friendly, they all know me by first name when I come in, and they always return my calls promptly whenever I call with any questions that they can’t answer at first. Luckily I live nearby so the atm locations have not been an issue for me. If you want a small town, friendly feel– this is the bank to join.

BBVA Compass did a really poor job handling identity theft on my joint account. An unauthorized account-​to-​account transfer was reported to them early in the morning, and they clearly had a record of the call because there was lots of investigation done during the day, yet nobody returned the other accountholder’s call, and I had to go down and sit in the branch office for 2 hours to find out what was going on. Completely unacceptable — and six hours after the issue was reported, nobody had frozen the funds of the other BBVA customer who made this unauthorized transfer — the money was still being spent when I arrived at the branch. A week and a half later, the bank still claims they have no record of the initial call. During a call requesting status, the accountholder was disconnected after 35 minutes… with no return call.
The money has been returned, but the bank still has not provided a copy of the transfer document despite multiple requests, and they will not return phone calls related to these requests.
BBVA’s handling of this fraud situation is appalling. Bank elsewhere.

Where do I start? A mortgage broker forged a document and opened a line of credit under my name. I applied for biweekly payments nobody ever got back to me. They changed their checking accounts to $ 1500 in the account per month or you get charge a $ 9 service charge. I had $ 1500 in the account and they still charged me. THIS BANK SUCKS! I highly recommend to take your money elsewhere.

I opened an account with them when they were on winchester and I happened to work practically next door. I’m glad I did.
They offer an ATM fee rebate to all customers because of their notable scarcity of banks.
So, if you haven’t made it into the internet era and accepted online banking, this isn’t the bank for you. Otherwise, who cares about $ 3 ATM fees? Not me.
