I was referred to these guys by my regular parts man after he couldn’t get me a 100amp alternator for a 69 Pontiac… they made me repeat myself several times and then finally quoted me $ 280! I can buy a new one for less than that with free shipping!

I have bought many starters and alternators for them. They rebuild the cores for all the other auto parts shops in the bay area. Call them first to check pricing, but usually they are less than the chain parts places.

Had a charging issue in a 2008 Dodge Durango late Sun. Called this place early mon. and asked if they could test in the car. Brought it over right away and was told it would need to be a bench test to know positively if the alternator was to blame or the PCM. Back home I tore out the alternator and brought it back in for a bench test. In all of 20 seconds the tech confirmed the alternator was bad. Was written up for a full rebuild and was shocked when they were able to not only get to it that day, but within the hour. Off to run a few errands and I get a call it is ready for pick up. I feel I paid a fair price for the rebuild and saved well over $ 100 versus buying a re-manufactured alternator and having to wait for it to be ordered from the parts places. I will come back here in the future for my starter and alternator rebuilds. Nice to know a shop like this exists close to the house and saved me a 20 mile drive for the same service and at the same cost.

This is the place to go if you need to have an alternator, generator, electric motor, starter motor, or anything with an electrical winding rebuilt. I took a custom starter motor which I bought from someone on e-Bay. short story seller would not handle out-of-warranty repair and AutoLectric was able to repair it quickly, skillfully, and at a fair price. I would highly recommend to anyone with a classic car, antique appliances or other electric motor or alternator that needs fixing.
