M & M Autobody And Towing

This is the worst towing company in California. They left me standing in the snow for eleven hours. Yes 11 hours, until it got dark. They claimed there was a blizzard in Grizzly Flats. Second time we called, now I’m not calling direct, I use Farmers roadside assistance and they are contracted with M & M. Well this time it was only four hours before it was dark, then they asked for more money. Wanted us to pay claiming Farmers only pay 150.00 per tow and that wasn’t enough.
Please beware don’t believe their excuses, they are only waiting for it to get dark and hoping you will be desperate and pay.
Call anyone else.

Similar to an earlier review, found this to be a complete scam and very dishonest and unreliable. Response time for a tow was suppose to be under an hour and turned into almost 7 hours… throughout all of that time there was constant stories of «almost there», «oops truck broke down», «oh boy, lots of traffic on the way to you», «had to stop to gas up… again», «my drivers is out of cell coverage on the way and can’t reach him to check in». Worst part was that we had to be patient because we were told these guys were one of the only options for an extended cab truck that could fit more than 2 passengers, only to find out after seven hours that they didn’t even have an extended cab and couldn’t fit everyone for the ride. Roadside assistance that had dispatched them even sent an automated message that they had picked us up well over an hour before we finally had the driver show… pretending to have picked us up bought them more time to do other jobs I assume and keep us hanging as a captive audience and temporarily prevent roadside assistance from dispatching a different more honest service while they also got the «my driver is out of coverage but picked them up» run around.

My friends and I were away for the weekend at Leoni Meadows (retreat center). When it came time to get in the car to go home, my car (Prius) would not start and was completely dead except for very dim overhead lights. We tried to jump start the car (front battery) with no response at all. Fortunately, I have roadside assistance through our auto insurance (State Farm). They sent M&M Towing out, told us they would be there within 1 hour. I was nervous because we were in a semi-​remote area, I wasn’t sure if the tow truck would be able to find us. M&M Towing showed up well within the provided time frame. Instead of hooking my car up to be towed, he tried to solve my problem another way first. He suggested we take a look at the car’s back battery. This was easier said than done as we could not open the trunk since it’s power lock only. We had to crawl in through the back seat. When we finally got to it, the battery looked just like a regular car battery so we tried to jump start it, and it worked! Thank you to M&M Towing for saving the day! We got home (with a stop at Apple Hill) with no further problems at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst co. ever! Lied about almost being to me and it took 5 hours just to get to me which should’ve only taken 30 min. Then lied about the quote when he said 300, then to get my truck off the trailer he said 600 cash only. Scammers! Worst customer service and very rude.

Bad business. Make sure you check prices with them before tow and don’t leave car overnight. They held mine for 2 days to give me an estimate, then tried to charge me $ 450 for storage and towing when I refused the work. Was ready to go to police, he dropped price to 300. Highway robbery. Stupid me for not having AAA.
