Quality Inn & Suites

Not a very clean room. Peeling furniture old rug and dirty bathroom area. The window was propped up with a toilet paper roll when we arrived.

The motel is conveniently located off Hwy 50. I stayed with my wife and two kids on a rainy night on the way to south lake. We didn’t want to go over echo pass in the snow at night.
Deep pothole in the parking lot you couldn’t see, as it was full of water, caught my wife’s and my foot in it as we unloaded our car, not too pleasant start.
The room was ok. The beds were nice and firm, if you like that as I do. The bedding and pillows were nice and fluffy, and not down, which is great for me as I’m allergic to down. We were warm all night with the nice comforter, even with the heat off, which helped us sleep well, since it is of course loud when it’s right in your bedroom.
The place is a bit run down though. Everything is dated, dinged up, and sagging.
There was a placard placed in the bathroom, telling guests about the ‘upgrades’ in the bathroom. It was stuck on the wall crooked, and it called my attention to the ‘curved shower rod’. When I looked at that, I noticed the grout was cracked and falling out of the tiles in the shower stall. Not great marketing.
We are not smokers, and we are accustomed to no smoking in California, so I was disgusted to see brown water and butt filled ashtrays all along the railing in the upstairs corridor. Our room didn’t smell at least.
Breakfast — it was sparse, and no one appeared to be adding food. One guest walked in and grabbed all the oranges in one go (there were only two of them). Get there early! The hard boiled eggs were way overcooked with green yolks. The kids liked the waffles, and my wife ate a banana, and we went to nearby starbucks for her coffee.
I didn’t expect much for $ 75 a night, it satisfies for that price, which is what we were looking for. It’s still a «meh» rating.
Lastly, a motel calling themselves quality should actually care about quality if you ask me.

Ok Ive lived in Cameron Park my whole life we ran out of propane on New Year’s Day our propane company won’t be able to come out until Monday and we have 3 kids so we had to go stay at Quality Inn hotel which we have and weve stayed here before and I will tell you what their new employees are very rude very disrespectful we were getting comments like what do you think you’re staying at the Ritz Hotel I mean they were complete jerks to my kids when they went down to ask for a towel nothing but complete rudeness I will never stay there again I am a local anybody coming to town you’re better off staying at the motel 6 because they will take care of you a lot better than Quality Inn and it’s not worth of money they’re just as nice inside each room at Motel six and then they are here!!!

1. This place has gone to the dogs in more ways than one –read on!
2. We redeemed our Comfort Inn credit card points the day after Christmas, an overnight stay, before heading to El Dorado Hills.
3. Choice was Quality Inn in Rancho Cordova, or Cameron Park, both located alongside highway 50 freeway interchanges, and both costing 12,000 points. 1 point per dollar on most purchases, but 20 points per dollar spent at Quality inn hotels.
4. The Cameron Park Quality inn is the quieter of the two, simply because it is located 16 miles farther away from central Sacramento, in the boon docks.
5. $ 76 per night, which is cheaper than the $ 80 Motel 6 in town, and the Quality Inn has AC, microwave, and mini refrigerator, all costing extra at the Motel 6. Price wars among the bottom feeders!
6. At check in, the desk clerk tells us that the free Red Hawk shuttle is available 24 hours a day, mistaken me, like my fellow Asians, as a gambler at the local reservation down the road!
7. Hotels are 1970s style, with exterior corridors, flat screen TVs, bath tubs, toilet separate from sink, washer/​dryer facilities, outdoor swimming pool, and exercise room –although nobody was using the exercise room.
8. The Cameron Park Quality Inn is two stories, with door and windows of rooms facing an interior courtyard, where you can see your parked car. This is not the safest area, and car break ins do happen. Being able to see your car from the 1^st story window can be give you peace of mind at night!
9. Certain rooms designated as smoking rooms, and ashtrays on the exterior corridor balconies –apparently there are still a lot of smokers still kicking!
10. The hotel allows dogs under 50 lbs with a $ 15 per night cleaning fee.
11. We get room 213, second floor, next to the stairwell. Many hotels skip 13 in the room numbers. Next time, don’t get any room ending in 13, and not next to a stairwell, as talking folks going up and down the stairwell late into the night. Also front window smaller than the standard windows of other units not next to the stairwell.
12. The unit is about 10′ wide and 20′ long, with toilet/​bathtub in the back, and granite counter sink with vanity mirror in the middle. 1 very firm queen bed, with 4 small pillows, and a clean and soft to the feet bright red carpet –to hide blood stains?
13. TV is mounted on shelf above the microwave, and above the refrigerator. 26″ flat screen TV located below the ceiling, with poor reception of many channels, and like watching a movie from the front row of a theater –a real pain in the neck!
14. No closet, but the usual theft proof clothes hangers –it’s rock bottom price, catering to those type of shady guests!
15. Single chair and small circular coffee table which will double as a desk. Shortage of electrical outlets close to the table. Standard free wifi sufficient for reading e-​mails and cruising the internet, but too slow for downloads.
16. Quality Inn is next to 3 shopping centers, with 25+ restaurants within a 10 minute walk, including a dozen pizza joints. We go to China First restaurant, behind the Safeway.
17. Careful, as the sidewalks cease to exist in front of the hotel and the interchange –don’t want to become road kill!
18. Powerful but noisy heater –so noisy that the wife turns off the heater at night –despite outside temperatures in the 40s. She has pillows on her head, to keep out the light from the exterior corridor lights coming around the blackout curtains.
19. Wife likes to take a bath, but the bathtub drain stopper does not work, so we resort to standing on a hand towel over the drainage. Next time, first thing to check in any room is that the plumbing and hot water works properly for the sink, bathtub, and toilet!
20. 1:41am, comfortable deep sleep interrupted by a 50 lb brown barking dog with white spots at our door! This goes on for 9 minutes before the barking stops, despite my calling the front desk. Apparently next door room 212, or 211 let the groomed dog out to do its thing. Takes me an hour to fall asleep, having nightmares of a dog chasing me.
21. Next morning, someone is cleaning up a pile of dog poop on the second floor corridor. Hope nobody stepped in it last night in the dark! Better bring a flashlight next time when coming here at night!
22. The free breakfast area in Cameron Park is small –size of a bowling lane, with only 3 tables and 6 chairs. Washer/​dryer facilities with detergent vending machine adjacent to breakfast area.
23. Hot food includes sausages, beef patties, and egg whites, besides the usual waffle maker and hot oatmeal. Don’t oversleep as breakfast ends at 9am on weekdays! Got to stock up on those sausages and eggs, before going to my wife’s sister’s vegetarian-​vegan brunch!

My new motel to stay when in the area! I have been traveling to Placerville for about 2 years for business and usually stay at best western… Finally I got fed up of the horrible customer service and uncomfortable beds! I thought I’d give this place a try and my experience was amazing! From the warm greeting, to the extra step to open the door after my check out the experience was 5 star… My bed was comfortable, pillows felt softer then mines at home and the breakfast was delicious for being continental… and for the affordable price I will recommend this to my colleagues!

Pros–
*The staff was nice/​friendly (although the person got behind on making breakfast and was… harried)
*Hotel seemed really safe & secure.
*They have comfortable pillow top bedding.
* New type A/​C units
*Room was clean and quiet
Cons–
*Not a very good shower. Hard to get it hot & it wasn’t very powerful
* Although in a no smoking room area, there is a picnic table and pet area outside the room, where people and staff smoke.
*Small but irritating, the hair dryer unit on the wall had a light on it that was very difficult to cover up and light up the room at night.
, The room was nice & clean. There is a grocery store across the street, and various food establishment the in a shopping center which you can walk to.
I would easily stay at this hotel again (just ask for a room away form the «pet area/​Smoking area»

This is a 2 ½ star hotel, so the 5 star rating is based off that because this surely felt like a 3 to 4 star hotel.
It’s the little things that matter most to me I guess. The condition and quality of this hotel are superb everything else was just a plus. Things this hotel had that you don’t see at 4 star hotels:
1. Metal high quality swinging single person hammock chairs by the pool
2. 8ft deep pool. Makes it feel like the one in moms backyard
3. Plastic full size drink cups. Not the disposable ones.
4. Glass coffee cups in room.
The rooms were super clean and comfy. There was the smell of bleach right when we walked in which is a huge plus for my fiancé. Nothing was broken and the bed is extremely comfortable. The staff was very attentive and nice and helpful. After a 2 day stay of camping at the Dry Diggings Festival 2015 at the El Dorado Fairgrounds we weren’t yet ready for a 7 hour drive back to LA. We came in to check in around 9am and clearly this was too early to check in but the staff took our phone number and said they would call us when a room became available. Before we finished our breakfast at Denny’s they had already called us and with no hassle or issues we were in our room before 10:30am. Super relaxing and affordable! Seriously impressed.
I definitely recommend this place to stay! This town is awesome and the locals are more than welcoming. Quality Inn & Suites will most surely be a place we stay again.

I called to be transferred to a friend who told me he is staying at one of the Choice hotel in El Dorado or Folsom. Both the female PM and male graveyard clerk are so unprofessional, untrained and paranoia staff said I need to know the room number too before they can tell me or transfer me to him!!!
I asked these two morons if they check into a hotel themselves they called all the people they know in the world what their room number is in case their friends or relatives need to contact you!!!
This Quality Inn has NO quality trained staff because I was not asking for my friend’s room number but just if he is staying there!!! There MUST be a LOT of criminals or paranoia guests living and employees working there because when I told him I need the female clerk first name to complain to their owner tomorrow, the dumb graveyard clerk said I maybe a «stalker»!
Every professional receptionist would answer the phone identifying their first name as part of their greeting, what dumb people work at such a «Quality» inn???

Nice clean hotel. Super friendly staff. Great breakfast, nice pool and clean spa. They let you bring your pet too. Debbie is the manager I think and she is really helpful and kind. I highly recommend staying here, but I should warn you the WiFi doesn’t work very well which is why I have 4 instead of 5 star and the gym is small… but hey, I used my phone as a hot spot and that was fine too. They have laundry onsite as well.

Room A/​C was off all day and the temperature was about 100 in the room when we checked in. A/​C shut off at 70 so we turned it down to 60 (the lowest setting). It still routinely shut off so we hit the button so the fan would run continuously. It still shut off, so we opened the windows and let it run all night. The door dropped on opening and we had to lift it by the handle to close it. Left our room for the day at 10:30 am and returned at 11am — no room service that day. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Defininitely a great value. Rooms are clean & spacious. Staff is friendly. Nice pool with comfortable seating & a jacuzzi. Gym available. Good location near restaurants & shops.

For the past several years, we have avoided staying at this hotel because the way the hotel looks from freeway. We took a chance recently and were pleasantly surprised. The room was large and nicely furnished. The king bed was comfortable, but odd they give you 4 small pillows to sleep on. They double sheet the top to cover blanket which I do appreciate. We stayed on first floor furthest from freeway and the room was very quiet except we could hear the people above us walking around in morning. Breakfast was decent, but the break room is very small so you probably need to carry back to your room. The grounds looks like they were recently landscaped and they are still planting more. The pool looked nice and there is also a spa next to pool. The ac worked good and wasn’t too noisy. I would give it 4 stars but I have issue that while the carpet was clean and vacuumed, the housekeeping staff does not clean the edge of carpet. So all around the room where carpet hits wall, there is a thin layer of dust and some pet hair (gross). We have stayed twice in same room and it looked the same 3 weeks later.

This place is pretty bad. The rooms smell like cigarettes masked with chemicals. The door has an inch gap at the bottom that could let in bugs, but I didn’t see any. The A/​C sounds likes it’s going to fly away. The fan switch in the bathroom is mounted upside down and doesn’t work. The window in there has no screen. The pool is full of bird droppings, insects, other debris and doesn’t seem to have much chlorine. They replace the towels even when you follow the water saving rules to not have them replaced. The TV picture quality is fuzzy. The light switch by the bed is partly broken. The freeway is extremely close and noisey. The bed appears clean.

Very clean rooms and huge beds! I stayed in a king room and it was very spacious! The reason I’m giving it three stars is because the hair dryer didn’t work, the tv had some issues such that I couldn’t access on demand movies, and then the heater started to make some pretty loud noise after being on for a while. Has a pool, decent free breakfast, and free WiFi just needs a bit of updating such as new blankets (I brought my own because I was here for like a week) the beds themselves were very comfy. Would stay again.

First of all the hot breakfast the only hot thing they have is waffles the eggs are hard boiled no such thing as sausage or bacon the bedspread had cigarette burns stains and rips in it they gave us a kitchen that only had three plates 3 spoons 1 knife and no forks didn’t clean our dishes and then somebody stole my friends PlayStation out of his room

Booked two rooms and both rooms had lot of transparent stains on the bed sheets. Lot of shady characters staying there and nearby. Friendly and helpful breakfast staff. Nice big rooms, but really old carpets. Tried to cancel one of two rooms I booked after seeing cleanliness of rooms, (and parents afraid to sleep alone seeing the people nearby), but front desk was rude about not doing it, since I booked online. Since they were full, seemed like somebody else could use it. We all ended up sleeping in one room! What a waste of money.

Beware. This hotel charged me twice, when I called back to fix the problem I spoke with Adam (he said that he was the owner) and he basically told me that if I had a problem I should call my bank. I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. Read the filtered ads at the bottom. Just be careful with this please, I suggest booking with a credit card like Amex so you can dispute if need be! As for the room it was a fine place to sleep for a night. Nothing fancy.

Stayed here on Sunday night. Perfect room for the three of us. Pool was nice, though a little dirty. Fitness Center was closed due to construction.
Staff are friendly and kind.
A small issue with our room was resolved in an amazingly timely fashion. I was really impressed with there attention to customer service.
Breakfast at 6AM on Monday was a nice little spread of Cereal, Make-​Your-​Own Waffles, Breads and Danishes, Hard Boiled Eggs, Coffee, Tea, Juice and plenty of condiments to go with them all.
I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area.

I usually Unilocal everything before going and as I read some of the reviews I was a little skeptical, but still wanted to give the hotel a chance based on some of the positive reviews. My husband and I stayed here the night before our trip to Lake Tahoe. We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel and service based on what we had spent for the night (very reasonable). The manager/​owner Adam was very accommodating and friendly. He suggested for us to go to Red Hawk Casino which was about 5 miles away. We had dinner prior to this in Folsom, many many restaurants to choose from. The breakfast in the morning was way more than what we get at higher prices hotels. We had the variety of yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, and waffles to choose from! Will recommend to anybody looking for an affordable place to stay!
