Stopped in after a long hike at Camden State park — good chai, not too sweet. Very good baked goods.

Tourist trap. Awful. Never have I waited so long for a couple sandwiches, and paid so much for less than mediocre quality. Disillusioned college students working there who don’t give a damn. Flies all over the counter landing on the food waiting for customers to pick up. The staff totally disinterested in keeping them away. I wonder if the board of health would feel the same way? I’m pretty sure they just lost my order slip for a while, there’s no way it could take anyone 30 minutes to make 2 deli sandwiches where no cooking is involved. Or maybe the flies carried it off. When we finally got our sandwiches, couldn’t believe the price. $ 30 for 2 small sized sandwiches and 2 bottles of water. The quality sub-par. The crab roll was supposed to be on a toasted roll and it wasn’t. The club sandwich(not a triple decker as the menu said) was also supposed to be on toast, but only one slice was toasted. I guess it’s the thought that counts. No mayo on the club. 30 minutes to make a simple deli sandwich and they can’t get it right. Go across the street to Boynton-McKay, or go to Marriners, or go anywhere but here. Worst deli ever.

Staff was INCREDIBLY friendly. Food was good as you would expect from a deli. We were there for breakfast o the deck. Great view but a little run down.

Beautiful Harbor view and decent food! We were recommended this place by our guide when we were doing sea kayaking in Bar Harbor. We went there around 11 and we found the great table on ground floor over looking the Harbor. It was beautiful day and the view is serene. If you sit on ground level, you order at the counter and they call your name when food is ready. If you sit upstairs, you will be served by a waiter but then they looked pretty short handed so we sat on the ground level. Food was a decent fair. I ordered Veggie foccacia and it came with side of chips. The bread was fresh and the filling veggies were cooked perfectly. Overall a nice sandwich. I recommend this place mainly for the view!

Year after year we experience great lunches at the Camden Deli. Good sandwiches, beer and wine, good service and fantastic view of the harbor… doesn’t get any better than this!

I have to say I was really disappointed again with The Camden Deli. The food is good, that’s not the issue. The service is so nasty that it feels like they really don’t want you there. I live in Maine and I hate seeing places like this treat people so poorly. If you are in the tourism industry, please try to be nice to the folks that pay your bills. Don’t be a jackass. This is my fourth time there and every time, the Camden Deli folks are rude. Spend your money elsewhere. Other people will appreciate it. The Camden Deli won’t. They expect it.

This place was awful. I used to come here all the time and I was excited to come back while in town. I was disappointed to see that the food quality has gone down drastically while the prices seem to have quadrupled. The staff was extremely rude and the manager wasn’t any better. After one of his staff blatantly rolled her eyes in annoyance the only thing he could say was«she’s not from this country» as if that should excuse rude behavior? We are all human beings and smiling is universal. It’s too bad that they have lost their small town deli appeal. Instead they seem to have become pretentious, without the food quality they used to have.

Definitely sit on the outside deck if you are eating in. It has a great view of the harbor and the small waterfall behind the Smiling Cow shop. The food was good, we got an assortment of the sandwiches and they were all tasty.

My boyfriend and I spent July 4th weekend in Camden Maine and had a wonderful lunch. I would highly recommend the upstairs deck as it has amazing views of the harbor. The sandwiches are great and reasonably priced.

When you think of a deli, you think of BIG sandwiches on homemade bread. I ordered the Camden Club. In what universe is a club sandwich not a triple decker? Well, at the Camden Deli, even though it is listed as a triple decker on their menu. Was even more disappointed when I saw it was served on grocery store bread. But I got thick cut bacon on my sandwich, right? Nope. Microwaved bacon. Some good Cape Cod chips and a crisp pickle? Nope. Stale generic chips and a soggy pickle that looked like it was left out overnight. The staff looked overwhelmed and there was a severe lack of eye contact at the register. Order a baked good to go and you get a bag for it, right? Nope. Just a little piece of wax paper that barely covers it. Good view. So-so service, and bad food for a hefty price. I expected WAY more for what I paid.

Good lobster roll and great chowder. A little expensive and you can’t sit outside. They were quick and friendly and there is a nice view of the harbor but the room is a little stuffy.

For a sandwich shop it’s the best in town. Full views of the Camden Harbor from just about any seat I would eat there and love it even if the food was not great. We found the food very yummy with only a minor error in the order which was fixed promptly. A family friendly venue.

After walking around the harbor, we popped in Camden Deli for happy hour. They have an amazing upstairs outdoor patio overlooking the harbor, the perfect place to enjoy a happy hour beverage. We ordered a lobster roll to go with it, and I gotta say — it had giant chunks of lobster claw in it. It would have only been better had the roll been buttered and grilled. Delicious! I would highly recommend this spot — attentive service, yummy food, and happy hour prices.

Affordable, good-quality foods. They have a variety of options. It’s not the *best* food I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely high-quality and very, very good.

We had a late lunch/early dinner, so we had first choice of seating. We sat upstairs on the outside deck. They have a great view of the water and you can hear the waterfalls. I ordered«The Surprise» and it was very good. There was a good amount of meat and a generous amount of avocado. This sandwich would be even better of asked to be toasted! 5 stars for the food. 4 stars because our service was not extremely attentive– had to ask for refills on drinks. And the iced tea was watered down. We ordered dessert to go. There are a ton of desserts to choose from. Peanut butter brownies, mint brownies, toffee bars, butterfinger cheesecake, key lime cheesecake, cookies, and much more! They are all unique and you get a nice heaping serving.

Solid spot to get a sandwich!!! The staff is friendly and the food is good especially the treats… Cookies, Cakes, Bars and such. They are pretty fast from order time to the time you get served. When I visited it was mobbed full of people and the crew behind the counter seemed well in control. Added Bonus! The view is awesome. If you need a reasonably fast bite to eat and don’t want to sacrifice quality for service or speed this is a safe pick!

We came to the deli at 3PM for coffee and a dessert. The downstairs staff(not the upstairs waiters) were young kids behind the counter who flirted with each other, looked depressed, laughed and talk to each other loudly, or avoided eye contact with patrons — anything to keep from asking that reluctant question, «do you need anything?»… Absolutely no customer service orientation or training. There was only one girl who looked up and was polite — at the end of our visit. Overall, the deli was dirty and noisy, with inattentive and LOUD staff, mediocre food. We would have done better to go across the street for coffee and a snack. Don’t say you weren’t warned. P. S. If you like cannolli, don’t order theirs.

This was my favorite place in Camden. I had the lobster roll and some type of toffee bar. Both were delicious and I went back to get another toffee bar before we left. The space is simple and the people who work there are friendly and hard working. The view cannot be beaten and I could probably sit in front of the window with tea and stare out into the ocean and its boats and lighthouses all day. Camden Deli is not to be missed. I highly recommend it.

Got a veggie ciabatta sandwich, which had roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, pesto, tomatoes, piles of mozzarella; comes with ruffly chips and a pickle. Sandwich was… inoffensive? Fine, I guess? Not worth the 7.99 in my opinion, but I’m difficult. The man at the counter was great, service was quick. The Megunticook river flows under this restaurant, coming out from beneath it in a slow smooth sheet in view of the big windows in the dining area, which also overlook the bay. The river ends in a series of falls where seagulls often come to drink, which is very cute. I could imagine kids liking this place and the birds a lot. As for me, not a kid anymore, I ate a sandwich and drank a beer slowly in Camden Deli, had no problems, whatever, done.
