Just stopped in here last weekend when we were caught off-guard by Flour being closed for a staff party. But I’m so glad we did! I had a delicious caramel latte, which managed to strike that perfect balance of tasting of caramel but not being overly sweet. And my husband and I shared a giant vanilla-pecan meringue cloud, which was so delicious and light and airy. My only regret is that I didn’t have more room in my stomach, because all of the pastries and various baked goods all looked amazing. Next time I’m in the area, I would definitely come back! Only complaint — it was SOHOT in there that we had to take our coats off and even then I got overheated.

Food is very good but the service is very much lacking. Very crowded and not enough tables or management of flow of tables. Expect to stand up after ordering, even after food deliver which is not fun particulary with the prices. However the food is very good.

I came in to escape the rain for a few minutes before going back to wander through MIT and central square. Tatte has a few spots in Cambridge, and though I haven’t visited for a while I remember this bakery because they make beautiful pecan tarts. I love this little hideaway version because it’s quiet and a little outside the MIT campus. I usually love being right in MIT, it’s excellent people watching and I love hearing what students and professors are working on. Sitting in a café for half an hour is like moving into a science fiction novel where anything is possible… Anyway, The coffee is excellent. And the staff is very friendly. I’d definitely be back.

Great coffee and pastries(try the pear tart!). Also love their salads, so big and tasty. Definitely expensive but what did you expect?!

While it’s on the pricier end, Tatte is reliably great for delicious pastries and coffee. Their brewed coffee is strong and rich in flavor — definitely not watered down. The mixed nuts nut box is a must-try if you like nuts, caramel(which is mixed into the filling), and not overly sweet pastries — I would suggest getting one to share as it’s very dense /filling! This particular location is very small though, with only one large table and not much of a seating area. I personally like the other Tatte on 3rd street better for its unique décor and much larger space. Would definitely bring friends to the other one, not here, but I’d stop by for a coffee /bite if I’m close by.

I truly don’t understand how these people are in business. I ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich. The cashier told me it was $ 15. I was shocked that it was possible for it to be that expensive but I figured the Croque Monsieur I ordered would be totally worth it. It wasn’t. When u opened the to go box I saw a croissant covered in some white sauce. All of the cheese was in the corner of the box and the egg was somewhere under the sloppy mess of the soggy croissant. So then I figured that it looked gross but maybe it tasted good. It didn’t. I feel nauseous. Don’t go unless you want to pay an exorbitant amount for gross slop.

+1 for selling Stumptown coffee beans I’ve been going here regularly since I moved to Kendall square, and I’m definitely a fan of Tatte. The nutboxes and tarts are amazing — I recently tried a maple pecan something something something tart and it was like pecan pie but even more sinful. Food food is delicious too. The mezze platter is amazing, the breakfast sandwich will blow your mind, and I’m dying to try the shakshuka. The downside is that this place is way, wayyyyy too tiny and so its hard to bank on coming here and ordering something to sit down and eat there(which is why I still haven’t had the shakshuka). I always feel like I am in the way and it can be annoying.

Came in for breakfast over the weekend. Not a huge place, but we seemed to come at a busy time and still were able to find seating. Now I’ve had a lot of breakfast sandwiches, and this one is truly incredible. The sourdough bread is delicious with ample egg, cheese, and bacon. My mouth is watering again just thinking about it. Bunch of people on here complaining about the prices, but I didn’t find them shockingly high. Pastries and stuff range from $ 2 to $ 5 per item, and the breakfast sandwich seemed reasonable at $ 8 given that it wasn’t just egg, bacon, and cheese on a bagel. Little more artisanal which I was feeling. Overall a great little cute café with delicious food. Probably difficult to post up here though for a while unless you come at a slow time given the size of this place.

Great food = 4⁄5 Solid coffee = 4⁄5 Expensive as hell 1⁄5 Poor service = 2⁄5 The blond kid with an «A» tattoo and a Napoleon complex has an attitude and really ruins the great service that his other colleagues provide. The other thing is that you should plan ahead if you are eating there, as it takes FOREVER for the food to arrive. The should hire more or better people given how expensive this place is.

I had an exquisite cherry tomato quiche, freshly squeezed orange juice and a couple of tasty desserts. The food is expertly prepared. The place is, however, ridiculously small — people constantly bumping into each other — I gashed my arm open on the metal hardware on the back of a chair trying to get from one end of the closet-sized restaurant to the other. I imagine it’s like living in an over-crowded submarine. But the food’s so good, and people were so nice, that it still gets 4 stars. Perhaps it’s better to go off-hours.

Seriously, it’s «As good as it gets!» We came across Tatte when walking back to our hotel from the Duck Tour. There were about 9 of us and the little bakery easliy accomodated our group. We ordered a variety of items and literally everything was to die for. I wish a bakery like Tatte was on every corner everywhere I went — I’d be in heaven. We had the sandwiches, salads and soups — all were amazing. Didn’t try the actual bakery items and was kind of sad now that I didn’t because they looked scrumptious. Hopefully, I will cross paths with another Tatte Bakery and Café in the near future!

Croissants to die for, prices that make you die. Just kidding. The croissants are massive and the coffee is delicious — but everything is about a dollar too expensive. Doesn’t stop me from coming in every morning, though!

One of the best places for pastry in Cambridge. Great for breakfast, but medium for lunch; their sandwiches are ok but not half as inspired as the pastry. The place is lovely but so small it’s very difficult to find a table. They have tables outside of it’s sunny but they won’t pay much attention to you.

Let me preface this with… I think Tatte makes delicious food and I go here often. But I am starting to rethink the second part of that statement. In my last 2 visits I have been faced with the same experience. I order a sandwich(Ham and Artichoke… no mustard, which I have ordered and received numerous times in the past) and… Last week went like this ME: «May I have the Ham & Artichoke, no mustard, please?» TATTE: «Let me check if we can do it»… WAITING…“Can’t do it, we are running really low on the sourdough bread”(it was 12:30 in the afternoon not late in the day). ME: In my head«Running low, sucks for the person after me but you have some so make my sandwich» OUTLOUD«Can you make it on another kind of bread?» TATTE: «No» ME: «Forget it» Today went like this ME: «May I have the Ham & Artichoke, no mustard, please?» TATTE: «Can’t do no mustard.» ME: «How can you NOT do no mustard, you have done it before.?» TATTE: «The sandwiches are already made with mustard on them.» So my question is where is the disconnect? In one week you went from making the sandwiches per order and wouldn’t make one because you were ‘running low’ on bread(WTF?) and now a week later all your sandwiches are pre-made and there is no way for a customer to have a request? If you can’t/won’t do special requests put it on the menu board. If you are out of something put a sign up. Both of these very small tasks will save everyone involved time and frustration. Get your messaging straight. Don’t ever tell a customer they can’t have something because you are ‘running low’. Maybe next time I come in I will say, «I am running low on cash so I can’t pay».

This place is small. I would not want to be in there during peak hours. I haven’t been here for breakfast yet but since I work nearby I’ve tried several of their lunch sandwiches(ham and artichoke and tomato and mozzarella) they are AMAZING! Some ppl might not pay $ 10 for a sandwich but every once in a while it’s def worth it!

Adorable! I love their chai latte– not too sweet, just perfect. I always get an extra shot of espresso. The breakfast sandwich is delicious. It’s totally worth the price. They actually cook up bacon for you. It’s REAL bacon, not the weird stuff in every other breakfast sandwich around here. I’ve also had their savory pesto and ricotta circle(not sure what it’s called). I ask for it to be warmed up, yummy! One weird thing though. The door is super heavy. I struggle to enter every time.

Hands down the best bakery in town. I absolutely love the pecan tart, it is not too sweet and it has the right amount of crust! Their white chocolate mocha is also amazing. My friend also loved their strawberry cheese cake. I have never tried the brunch there but I only heard good things about it.

Free wifi, amazing tea & coffee, delicious pastries and great soups, salad, and sandwiches. What more could you ask for from a café? Oh well I guess you could add: beautiful atmosphere, honest ingredients, plenty of outlets and a restroom. This place is absolutely wonderful!
