This place is a hidden gem in East Cambridge: relaxed, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and really affordable prices (!). But most importantly, you can get a great cut/​color here. Michael really does do terrific work – he’s never let me walk out feeling anything less than awesome, and I always look forward to seeing him.

Me and my husband have had our hair cuts done by Mike previously and we followed him here because he is awesome. He is a really nice guy, very sociable and fun to chat with. We like his tips about anything from hair to music or local events. We highly recommend him.

I followed marvelous hair stylist Micheal from Novità to Franco’s and now at Susan’s. He’s been my wonderful stylist for such a long time and I can’t imagine my life as a performer in the arts without his magical hands! Great colorist whatever color you are looking for he is accurate and very precise. Up on latest styles ans techniques.
I highly recommend him! The salon has a great atmosphere… Really cozy friendly staff

I’ve followed my hairstylist, Michael since 1985 when he was in North Cambridge. Wherever he goes, I go too! That’s how much I trust him. His delight with being at Susan’s in East Cambridge inspired me to write this recommendation. Susan’s feels like a comfy neighborhood hair salon. The conversation between clients and stylists is relaxed — like they’ve known each other for some years. Clients are greeted warmly and I’ve never had to wait for my appointment with Michael. I was worried about parking, but there has always been ample on-​street parking — just don’t forget quarters! Anyone who is trying to find Michael, since his recent move, he’s here! At Susan’s!

I just recently starting going to Susan’s after my hairstylist, Michael, started cutting hair here. Susan’s is a great neighborhood salon, featuring good products, and fun stylists. Everyone is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Michael offers great advice when it comes to cuts and colors. I always look forward to my hair appointment with Michael. Great results and great conversation! I have never had a problem finding parking and there are a few places nearby to grab a coffee to bring with you to your appointment. If you live in the Inman Square or East Cambridge area, Susan’s is a great place to go to get your hair cut.

Amazing full service hair salon by any stylist! I regularly go to Susan for cut, and color. Kylie does amazing make up!!! I have been coming here for years. I have difficult hair so I appreciate a good cut, color, and style. This is the place to go to maintain your everyday look, or to get dolled up for a special event! Also brow waxing here is amazing !!! I love the wax it’s better than most places!!!
