Saté Grill-on-Wheels

I’m a regular here. I’ll say it.
But I only have 2 different things I order.
#1 2 fresh rolls with the sauce for $ 4
OR
#2 the chicken phở for $ 6
I know most of the folks in my office are fans — its quick and easy. They do use fresh ingredients which is fantastic so you don’t feel like a brick of salt is hanging out in your tummy.
Try it sometime.

The Momogoose pop-​up café in the lobby of the Davenport is a huge perk of the building and a solid option for a quick, healthy, inexpensive lunch. Pan-​asian cuisine served atop rice or in ramen or phở-​type soups for $ 5 – 6? Unfortunately, a few quirks hold it back from being truly excellent.
First off, the meats are surprisingly uneven. Being a red-​blooded meat-​eater, I gravitated towards the pork and beef options, which was a big mistake. I suspect that Momogoose stir-​fries their meats pretty quickly, which doesn’t play all that well with cheaper cuts of red meat. The winners on the menu are the chicken and the tofu — skip the chewy, tough beef bulgogi and lemongrass pork.
Next, it can be incredibly poorly staffed during the lunchtime rush. Combined with a lack of any sense of urgency from the staff, this can mean really long lines and waits for your food. There are obvious things they could do to speed things up, but the staff seem uninterested or unmotivated in doing them — which can be incredibly frustrating if you want your lunch quickly, especially when comparing it to the hyperefficiency on display at other local lunch places like Boca Grande or 2^nd Street café.
Still, a solid choice and I’m not ashamed to say I eat here at least once a week.

This place is yummmmmmmy! I know there have been a ton of reviews about the food trucks, but there’s a nifty little food stand in the Davenport Building near my work. They have such a good selection! I ordered the Thai chicken with brown rice. The portions were huge and I didn’t feel guilty eating the meal (guilt comes often when your only food options come from the cambridgeside galleria). It even came with a nice portion of veggies, too!
The best part? $ 5.50! I could have easily saved half of this for tomorrow, too. Of course, I ate it all. but shhhh, not the point.
I am definitely coming back. I need to try everything!
