delicious, reasonably priced, fun outdoor seating, and(a habanero) hot sauce that’s actually spicy. i tried the poblano(vegetarian) and baja shrimp tacos. one of my favorite foods on earth is a fish taco, so the baja shrimp taco wins by default. however, the poblano taco also deserves praise. it’s barely contained in the soft shell that it comes in, spilling out because a juicy, sweet pepper is pushing out the black beans, creamy guac, and shredded lettuce.

The baja shrimp tacos are AMAZINGANDADDICTING. Sooooo good, the cilantro pesto sauce they add is unlike anything ive ever had its incredible(my mouth is watering as i type this) the pickled slaw they add to this taco is also incredible and the batter on the shrimp is so good the whole thing is just so good. ive also tried the carnitas tacos and was overwhelmed by the amount of oil and sodium(this coming from a girl who ODs on salt i love salt its bad i know but i cant get enough) but those tacos were just ok. Had the chips and guac yummmm overall love this place even though I havent tried everything I feel i have enough info to give this place a solid 4 stars

Oh my, I was not prepared to love this so much. Yes I saw the reviews but I’ve had great Mexican before and figured it couldn’t live up. Boy was I wrong. First of all the Service is lighting quick, I’m talking seconds, not minutes! Had the chicken burrito and chips and salsa. The burrito is packed with flavor and well constructed in every way possible. The chips are homemade but the surprise of the entire meal was the salsa. It is unlike any salsa I have had before. It has a marinara consistency and even similar taste. It was pure excellence! Olecito, in me you have a new friend

Tiny hole in the wall taco and torts shop in Inman. The beef torta was delicious! Will definitely go back.

This is the best burrito in Boston, bar none. The ingredients are very high quality which really made this burrito stand out from the crowd. I also appreciated the chips and salsa that comes to every order. Great stuff.

Super duper fast, had their baja tacos which were quite good, but I’ve had better.

They didn’t have baja tacos when I went but I got the rajas, carnitas, and steak tacos. My favorite was the carnitas tacos because the pineapple salsa added a nice zing. The beef tacos were too runny and the meat required too much chewing. The adobo chicken torta has a good medley of flavors that went well together but the torta fell apart too easily, making it difficult to eat.

Had a carnitas torta. It wasn’t mindblowing, but I enjoyed it enough to be back. Low wait time and great outdoor seating.

There is no better spot to get quality take out food than OleCito for my money. The staff is very welcoming and happy when you walk in, and you get to see your grub getting made right in front of you. They are always in a great mood and it makes you feel like you want to come back over and over again. The burritos are good size and fill you right up, and occasionally a Cubano sandwich is a great change of pace. Their guac is good and the habanero salsa is also a must get every time. Stop in and grab some good mexican takeout, you will not be disappointed

Just ate here today. The staff is very friendly and service is good. However, I asked for my food to be spicy and it was bland. My salsa was sweet and tasted like ketchup. I am going to be honest, and say that this is mexican food for gringos… who like plastic palm trees. This is nothing close to what mexican should taste like.

Maybe the best mexican-sounding food I’ve found in the wider Boston region. Cool little place, open pretty late. Not all that cheap given that it’s just taqueria food, but still tasty.

Got the quesadilla and was just ok. May try it again and see if the other items on the menu are better.

This place is not bad if you’re looking for quick Mexican food to go. I usually get the Baja shrimp tacos which are okay — sometimes too much cabbage/chipotle mayo and not enough shrimp. The guac and chips are pretty good. Nothing super noteworthy about Olecito but it works well if you’re in a hurry and need some decent food. I haven’t eaten most of the things on the menu that other reviews say are great so they may be worth a try. Overall: decent food, quick, get guac and chips

4.4 stars! I found the food here very affordable and delicious for its price. In the summer, it’s great to grab your meal and pop a squat in a chair right outside to enjoy it in the beautiful weather. The Solana torta is where it’s at. So many great flavors and the bread is a perfect texture for the torta. The chips were a little underwhelming: some were al dente, which should not be a quality of a chip. The guac wasn’t my favorite, but my friend loved it so I have no reason to steer you Unilocalers away. The service was great. Definitely recommend going on a beautiful night as the sun sets and enjoying a meal outside!

The torta sandwiches here will leave you feeling so wonderfully satisfied. The piolin is my favorite– it’s a combination of juicy chicken, crunchy vegetables, and a spicy sauce that together pack the perfect savory blast of deliciousness, especially with the very freshly baked torta roll! Burrito bowls are also very tasy, and though I keep wanting to try their tacos, the torta rolls always lure me towards them with their saucy siren’s song. If I am to be nitpicky, I will reiterate what other reviewers’ have pointed out: their salsa = marinara sauce. Perhaps one day, it’ll be spicier and more salsa like, but whether that day comes or not, I don’t mind… thanks to those fantastic torta sandwiches!

I’ve been on a hunt for delicious tacos, so Olecito was part of my ever-growing list. This place has pretty stellar reviews so I was anxious to see if it lived up to the hype. Sadly, for me, it did not. I had three tacos — Baja Shrimp, Carnitas, and Arracherra(marinated steak). All three were lacking in flavor. The Arrachera had the most flavor of the three; thankfully the steak was cooked well. The Carnitas, while tender, were very boring. The Baja was just an overfried chunk of shrimp with very little flavor. One redeeming quality is that they really do stuff the tacos with a bunch of meat. 3 will fill you up!

Great Mexican food to go. If you order guacamole they will give you a small little container, but that’s the only downside I can think about. I recommend the burritos: price, quality and ingredient balance. Go with your bike and get a discount.

One of the gems of Inman Square — the staff is very friendly, the quality consistently high. If only they were open for longer at nights, I would come here more often on my way home. Lorenz’ pro tip: the Piolin Torta, as well as the outside seating on a warm summer night.

Money! My brother in law lives a hop, skip and jump from here and last time I was by hanging out, after we drank a bunch of beers, since he treated, I offered to do pick-up duty from Olecito and since I was a number of beers in, any olé’ sloppy taco or burrito would of been fine, but Olecito was bangtown. We opted for a bunch of shrimp tacos(some of the best I’ve had in recent memory) and a quesdilla, if my memory serves me right and everything was right on the money. Plus, we called in the order, it was ready in 10 minutes, I walked a few blocks, they rang me up lickity split and before I knew it, I was back on my couch, crushing beers, eating way above average Mexican food and losing brain cells watching really bad reality TV. Uh, definitely check this place out if you’re crushing beers and get hungry!
