Specialties

Oggi Gourmet is a quick service café offering award-​winning gourmet pizza slices in minutes, delightful salads and custom made sandwiches, burgers, soups and more. If you’re in a group, we have something for everyone.

We make our own pizza dough, and our toppings are created fresh each day by our chef. We have a pizza special each day — it’s really different and exciting. Be sure to ask.

Our burgers are made to order and delicious. Our sandwiches come out crisp off our our panini grill. Our Smoked Turkey Club is especially popular, as is our Jerk Chicken and Black Forest Ham. (Note that the burgers and sandwiches take a little more time than the pizza.)

Our six salads include roasted pear, or pan-​seared brie, or simple greens with lots of goodies.

And we’re serious about coffee, too. Try our latte’s, our espresso, and our coffee.

Finish off with some wonderful home made cookies. Come to Oggi.

Business Owner

Hi, I’m Bill Warner. My brother-​in-​law, Steve Welch wanted to expand his restaurant from Boston to Harvard Square, and I thought it would be fun to work on a restaurant together, so we dove in together.

I’m the high tech guy, and he’s the food guy. I love tools like Yelp and Facebook. Steve loves tools like spatulas and pepper grinders. Together we make a good team and we’re learning every day.

I started Avid Technology, Inc, which makes video and film editing systems for Hollywood and media production around the world. So, as you might expect, I’ve done some video for Oggi which you can find on our homepage.

We’re always looking for input on the food, and I’m always looking for input on how to reach more people!

Super-​fresh, carefully chosen ingredients in delightfully surprising combinations of flavors and seasonings from all over the world. Really like the breakfast sandwich in particular. Good stuff.

I had a special take on their pearl salad that involved a bit of post-​Thanksgiving duck and I was yearning for more. The pizza looked scrumptius. If I catch myself in Cambridge again, I’d be back in a heartbeat.

I was not impressed. At first we wanted to get half a special and half cheese, but were told the special had a white sauce and half and half wouldn’t work. That’s fine, so we decided on the large special.
It didn’t take long to make and there was no one else there so we happily started on our way home without checking the pizza. Big mistake!
First, there was no white sauce, so they either lied at the beginning or just made a pizza with the mostly right toppings and wrong sauce. The pizza was supposed to have jalapeño peppers but there was no spice to that pizza. It was just not a good pizza. Then we noticed that the pizza seemed kind of small and so we measured. It came to a mere 16 inches, when the diameter is supposed to be 18.
I won’t be eating here again.

Just had lunch at Oggi’s while on our first day of vacation. Absolutely, one of the best turkey clubs that I have had in quite sometime. The jalapeño potato pizza slice was delicious! Great spot for a quick bite. Friendly service as well. I will be back!

It’s basically in a small mall across the street from Harvard University– just off the T station (red). Straight out of the «old days» — commune college food that isn’t all vegetarian– great. Has paninis, fresh juices, burgers. Good quick meal.

I’d rank this place above health insurance and discounted tuition on the list of reasons I’m glad to work at Harvard. Everything they make is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Steve and his motley crew are worth the price of admission alone. I have yet to try their teas or pizza, but the sandwiches, burgers, salads, and smoothies are the best hidden gems hiding right in plain sight.

Despite the numerous pizza joints in Harvard Square, this quiet spot hidden in the Holyoke center has some of the most delicious slices you can find. There menu also sports other meals that will satisfy your taste buds, such as the smoked turkey club and caprese sandwhiches, which come with thin, crispy fries and will fill you up for cheap compared to the rest of the square.

Oggi Pizza and Sandwiches is becoming one of my fave lunch spots in Harvard Square. The quality is excellent! I have tried both the sandwiches and pizza. Its also a great value, and they have a lot of seating, which is key in this area. The seating is indoors, since this is next to Au Bön Pain; inside the Holyoke Center.

You won’t be wowed by the variety. Still, this OG togo party will have you coming back for more of its light, fresh fare.
The special chicken salad with craisins, carrots and rosemary, wrapped and briefly seared on a blazing hot panini press, didn’t have the palate doing a triple lindy in to a pool of bold flavors. Still, the remarkably clean approach ate so healthily, I couldn’t help but feel a little crush developing. How could an $ 8 nothing special wrap having me feeling so… special? Was it the included bag of Dirty Potato Chips (so rare!)? Was it the pleasantly filling serving size? Was it the festively irie font on the blackboard menu?
Can’t place the finger on it. Grab lunch to go, and see for yourself. Service is friendly, if a bit assuming — as a neophyte to Oggi’s world, I had to be told where to order, where to repeat the order, what the Soup Combo meant (it’s half a pre-​made sando in the display case with a cup of soup for a fixed price) and that chips came with the meal. Would definitely fly back for a slice or two, although they’ve stiff comp with my current Harvard Square pie-​veyor, OTTO.
All in all, a solid option that’ll complement Al’s savory, speedy, stuffed-​to-​the-​gills sandwiches as a lighter, brighter option. Oh, and they make their own bread!

Great pizza, great sandwiches — unfortunately, the atmosphere in the Holyoke passage is really not great, so I recommend taking your sandwich to Harvard Yard, weather permitting.

Pretty good pizza, and super cheap at $ 3/​slice. This place is somewhat hard to stumble upon because it’s located in that weird corridor of businesses next to Au Bön Pain in Harvard Square. Personally, if you’re looking for a quick, cheap slice of pizza I prefer Otto’s, but this is a good alternative. Slices are thin and foldable. The crust is salty and tastes almost like a soft pretzel. The guys that work here are friendly, too. Seating is limited to several tables and chairs scattered outside. A decent lunch option if you’re in a rush and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg.

Oggis makes the best pizza inn the square, but nobody knows about it because it’s buried inn the Holyoke center. That’s not right. The slice off three day is the best pizza ever, consistently.
The typos in the review are because of the grease pin my hands from the slice i just had. The owner is here agreeing to make eleven pizzas for some harvard kids who just walked in. Its one minute until they close. This place it’s the best.

The chef was so kind and accommodating. As a pregnant chick it’s often difficult to cater to a craving while eating food that’s notorious. However, they made it easy. I had a chicken egg sandwich and it was heavenly.

Just to reiterate-​great special slices. Quickest pizza from M2/​train station. You can actually sit and eat and they have a great variety of options. Still had the best burrito here. Would like to try the egg sandwiches and other offerings, too

Had a slice of tomato-​basil-​garlic thin crust. It is clear they use mozzarella cheese of significantly higher quality than other places. But the tomato sauce was dead; no noticeable seasoning. Crust also bland and sort of wet-​cardboard-​like. So it was kind of like eating a nice fresh mozzarella ball with occasional pairings with fresh basil or garlic, but you also had to eat damp stale crackers with tomato paste from a jar alongside it. The really quality cheese experience was novel enough to get me through the first third, but then the other «qualities» came through, and also I felt a bit sick maybe just with the thought of eating that much pure cheese. Anyway it was way less bad than this review makes it seem, but I still wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe the more gourmet (e.g. fancy toppings to drown out the thought of sauce and cheese) /​not thin crust pizza is way better.

Fantasic pizza. Even better on Mondays nights when their tomato basil pizza is $ 5 (large!) WOAH. I have only had a few other things here, like some cookies, salad, and coffee. Coffee was pretty good but everything else was meh compared to their pizza. I will eventually get around to trying their burgers and soups, I bet they’re good. They have great indoor seating inside the Holyoke Arcade.

These people really care about food.
I had a slice of their pizza slice of the day, which had broccoli, bacon, and bleu cheese. My mouth was pleasantly surprised by the mixing of all the flavors and textures. The crust was perfectly crunch, the broccoli was tender, yet had that just right crispy broiled floret tips, the bacon was perfectly done, not soggy and fatty, nor burnt, but the cheese (WOW!) woke my mouth up with it’s surprising zingy tanginess. I was here on a reunion trip, so each meal is important to me. This one was well worth it.
And the folks that work there are very interesting and approachable while conveying their love of food in all that they do.
I can’t wait to come back to try breakfast, sandwiches, and salads at this place!

They have fresh squeezed juices now! I just had a carrot, apple, ginger one and while it was small and not very cold, it was quite good. I also got the simple green salad which consists of simple greens, a sliced cherry tomato, a few slices of english cucumber (can you please peel the skin off, it tastes so much better without it).some generic croutons that reminded me of Pepperidge Farm which is not a complaint, just an observation, and a little feta cheese. It was supposed to have shredded carrots but there were not any in mine. Balsamic is the dressing.
Service is friendly and fast.
Good quick lunch option.

Absolutely looove this place, whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Fresh muffins in an assortment of flavors every single morning. Delicious coffee served with a smile.
At lunch, you can’t go wrong with their pizza. Their tomato, basil and garlic pizza is one of the best around. If you have time to wait, order a sandwich. One of my favorites is the Caribbean Jerk steak spinach salad. It’s absolutely delicious and the steak is seasoned and cooked perfectly.
On top of that, staff is always friendly and polite. Love Oggi!

I’ve been on a pizza-​by-​the-​slice kick this past week; expect to see more like reviews, this girl’s been samplin’!
I treated my classmate to a couple slices at Oggi (located in the Holyoke Center at Harvard Square.) Four slices came to $ 11.50. She recommended the tomato-​basil-​garlic (thin crust, non-​greasy, delicious! Can’t wait to have it again!) & I had to try their special of the day: tomatoes, spinach, goat cheese, zucchini cream. Know what I realized? I prefer tomato sauce-​base pizzas.
I usually leave the crust behind (evidence of how many slices I’ve devoured-​yikes!), but theirs is a soft, pillowy flavorful kind! An example of carbs as comfort food!
Only recommendation: they need granulated garlic to round out the trio of shakers (appreciate the crushed red pepper flake & oregano.)
