This is one of my favorite places ever, when it comes to housewares. I’ve bought numerous birthday and holiday gifts here and their jewelry store, and each one has been a hit. My favorite menorah is from here, and a couple of other objects. I have had lots of engaging chats with the owner and staff through the years, I only wish I had a big apartment or house, and that they had a bit more stuff for men.

i can not imagine a WORSE experience than the one i had shopping at this store. the owner was snappy and unfriendly. there are«DONOTTOUCH» signs everywhere and she follows you around expecting you to shoplift. clearly this is a woman with too much money and time on her hands. there were some lovely things in this shop and i noted the designers and contacted their websites directly to purchase their wares. go, browse, note the artist names and then go hit the web. do not spend your money at MDF. they do not deserve it.

UM what’s up with the one and only other review of this store having ZERO feedback written??? isn’t that the point of a review? but that’s not the point of mine — so I need to get back on track. the point is this store is always a pleasure to go in. This store is always a must stop in for me when I’m in Harvard Sq. Very funky, and expensive, handmade housewares and jewelry. They have these cool lamps(with a mesh covering on each light), funky mirrors(one that I am eying to buy), metallic clocks, necklaces, handbags, vases… and all kinds of other nifty stuff. Staff is friendly and helpful. I asked many questions about a mirror I am thinking about buying, which is turns out, the artist will custom make in a variety of shapes and sizes. Even better!
