Went there a few times to get some cheese bread to be made specially for me and each time I went in there I think out of the six loaves of bread I got only one had cheese actually physically seeing it in the last two loaves of bread I got I could not see any cheese at all and he swore up and down that he put the cheese in it but when I cut the bread in many slices I could not find anything so I’m done with them.

I don’t know the history but I had heard that the two Kennedy’s bakeries in town are a result of a family feud or something so you have two competing but somewhat related businesses. So as a big fan of THE Kennedy’s bakery I decided it was time to try the other one for a change. Since I love Devil Dogs I figured that was the best thing to get and compare the two. Well, the price is better here, but that is about it. When I bit into the devil dog, the first taste on my tongue was not that of wonderful moist chocolate cake but… dirty refrigerator/freezer burn. That was about all I needed to know so I spit it out and went to the REAL Kennedy’s and got a wonderful moist and fresh devil dog and it was glorious! I will not be back to this one. Surprised it’s still even in business given that it took nearly 5 solid minutes for me to be waited on when there wasn’t even a line.

I got a cookie there that tasted like they baked it with drywall. Dry and hard and stale. Do yourself a favor and go to the Kennedy’s on Wheeling and get the fresh stuff.
