First time… Great food, great service from Ashley… wine steward recommended a French red that was the best red wine I’ve ever had!’

First time going. Heard other people ordering sesame chicken. So decided to get the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. Took about 10 mins but was an ok wait. The sesame chicken was really good, a slightly sweet taste to it, I could count the number of sesame seeds though. The rice was ok — they were not skimpy on the shrimp which I appreciated and they were almost jumbo sized. The egg roll had no taste whatsoever — tasted like it was baked. The contents weren’t dry or anything but overall it was flavorless. The place was clean and the worker was polite. I would probably be back for the sesame chicken — may have to listen to other patron orders to determine what else is good here

The food was terrible. There was no flavor and both my girlfriend and I were sick later that night. Save your money and go to the other Asian restaurant down the parking lot.

This is by far the worst Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life and I’m in my 40s. The food had absolutely no flavor. Very dull. There were seven of us that eight and no one liked their food but we had paid for it and were hungry so we ate it anyway. Save your money and go somewhere else. That being said the customer service was great. They were friendly and nice and they even brought our food to our table.

I ordered the Beef with broccoli and fried rice lunch special, with an extra egg roll. The meat was kind of a mystery. There were some tender, tasty pieces in the box, but there was quite a bit of gristle and other nastiness. The sauce was the weirdest I’ve ever tasted on beef with broccoli, definitely not to my liking. The broccoli was mostly stalks, which is not typically a problem for me, but it would be nice to get some florets too. Lots of onions as well. Fried rice was just OK. Kinda dry, not much egg, and and it had that funny yellow color a lot of these places seem to be fond of. Lighten up on the turmeric, guys. Egg rolls were frozen. Had some weird pink stuff inside. Tasty anyway. There are better counter-service places in Macon. I don’t give many(any) one-star reviews. I tend to rave about places I like, and ignore places I don’t. Stay away from this one.

Chinese food is very hit or miss for me, but I have come to love Hong Kong’s Teryaki Chicken Skewers with fried rice. My true love here is their Lo Mein though. Always hot and fresh and probably the best I’ve had in town. Say hi to the 2 kids in the booth when you visit.

The place is good but people are being way too generous with their 5 star rating. It would be a much better experience to eat with real silverware and not cheap thin plastic forks and spoons and in a to-go box! On to the food, the hot and sour soup is OK but not the best in Macon and the small portion is big enough for at least two people so don’t order the large unless feeding your whole table! The Sesame Chicken as other suggested is nice here, the sauce sticks to the chicken but is not thick at all. You can substitute Lo Mein for the standard rice for a $ 1.50, they didn’t use to do this and that’s why I’ve never wanted to eat here and I’m thankful they do it now! The Lo Mein is full of all kind of stuff and bursting with flavor but missing something that would make it awesome(not sure what)! The Sesame Chicken didn’t disappoint and had a crisp texture to it but next time I’ll try the General Tso’s and check that one out! They carry Pepsi products, a plus on my scale! This place gets lots of carry out orders and you can tell they are regulars. Seating is limited in the restaurant but that OK, I just wish the presentation was better by serving this great food on something other than plastic… come on seriously where are the tree huggers when you need them?! Located in the Kroger shopping center in case you can’t find them!

I pick up food from Hong Kong Restaurant about every other week. I have really liked everything I have eaten from them. Of all the counter-service Chinese restaurants in Macon, I feel this one is the best(and thus, the only one I am leaving a review for). I recommend the beef skewers, beef and broccoli, General Tso’s chicken, and as someone mentioned in another review, any of their tasty lo mein dishes. These are the dishes I order the most, but whenever I try something else on the menu, I am left satisfied.

This place rocks. Im picky about Chienese food, so this place seems to do it right. My fav dishes here are the Sesame Chicken, and General Tso’s Chicken. I reccommend this spot. The staff is really friendly as well. Good health code ratings, tasty and fast food when your in a hurry. Check it out!
