Charles W. Malta, DDS

I’ve been going to Dr. Malta for over 10 years. I hate dentists, but he’s super down-​to-​earth and takes good care of me. I also don’t have a ton of money and not the best insurance, so I like that I can make payments. I love my hygienist, too. She’s super sweet and gentle when she does cleanings. Highly recommended.

Sleezy is the best adjective for Charles Malta’s practice. I have visited a number of dentists in my life, and Malta’s was by far the worst. The staff was not very professional and the EQUIPMENT WAS RUSTY.
The dentist incorrectly diagnosed me with a cavity which was later disproved by two other dentists. He took a series of full-​mouth X-​rays and charged me $ 50 for transferring those records to my new dentist because they only use film X-​rays, which have higher radiation and are poorer quality. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone since it is clear that he is looking to bill for as much as possible and not interested in helping you achieve the highest possible oral hygiene. He’s old-​school and doesn’t even use email; I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t give me a lof of confidence in his interest in keeping up-​to-​date on dental medicine…
Furthermore, during my visit I saw that the staff were not changing their gloves between touching my mouth and other dirty objects like door knobs, pens, etc. I did, however, find one of the administrative assistants rather kind despite her workplace.
Don’t go to this dentist.

Dr. Malta and his staff are awesome! Ever since I moved to the Boston area I felt like I couldn’t find a good dentist… they were either sadists or tried to convince me I needed expensive procedures. I finally tried Dr. Malta’s office and my problems were solved. They are super friendly and give you practical advice about your teeth instead of trying to weasel more money out of you. Hurray!
