This townhouse apartment complex is managed by the Hamilton Company and we had originally found it two years ago through Craigslist(we managed to avoid the broker fees). It met all of our criteria and was perfect for my husband attending MIT – close to school(~10 minute walk), public transit(close to both the Lechmere and Kendall Square Ts), children’s activities(a few blocks away a Cambridge library branch, ~10 minute walk to the Science Museum, near to two great neighborhood parks), and separate living areas for a work at home mum(they’re all townhouses). We originally lived there six months in a two bedroom unit and came back after his internship to settle in a three bedroom unit. We had a good experience in both, the apartments have pergo downstairs and a nice Berber carpet upstairs. The bedrooms have lots of light and the bathrooms and kitchen have nice granite and marble. And in-unit washer dryers were great… We loved the two levels. Rent was commensurate with the area if not a little less especially for the three bedroom units. Although the complex doesn’t have a fitness center the parking spot included with the rent(not extra) more than made up for it. The office can be a bit slow unfortunately. We had to wait quite a bit for repairs. We also almost were served with a notice twice because we had actually mailed our check early before the holidays and they mysteriously misplaced it(and finally found it after we had called). And it took a bit to get our early notice bonus check as well as interest one(but as soon as we flagged it they were kind to express mail it to us). If we ever had to move back to Boston we would strongly consider living here again.
