History
Established in 2000.
The league started in 2000 with 6 teams of C.A.C. gym members. The novel concept of tracking statistics for a recreational basketball league was a hit with the players. With humorous recaps of games played, the league differentiated itself from others in the Boston area. As word spread, players outside of C.A.C. wanted to put in their own teams.
In 2004 the League set up it’s own dedicated website where players could find their stats and write-ups online. Players received profiles that tracked their stats and were updated each game. 2006 debuted the Women’s leagues and in 2007 full court 5v5 leagues were added. As with the 4v4 leagues played at C.A.C., these leagues had to be split based on competition and skilled as they became more popular.
Over 400 teams played in the leagues in the 2010 calendar year as Co-Ed and Corporate leagues were formed. The 2011 year promises even bigger and better things from Boston’s best recreational basketball league.
All skill levels are welcome!
