Boutique Fabulous is an eclectic gift store (not a flower store), offering a dense array of great gifts for all occaisions. We sell vintage items alongside brand new essentials. It generates comments like «this store is such fun» everyday. Whether for a Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Graduation, House Warming, etc. B.F. will have you covered.

We have many Boston, Cambridge & Somerville local items, many with their name dropped. Our vintage clothing section (women’s only) is hand picked for quality, style and age.

Nearly everything in the store is for sale. The displays are antique furniture, but be sure to discover a little known gem… we have a basement full of even more excellent furniture!

Inman Square is a funky neighborhood, so it needs a funky retail store which is dog friendly, ice cream and coffee friendly, and open late in the good weather months. Boutique Fabulous prides itself on the greeting card selection. We feature many smaller card manufacturers with a regularly rotating stock.

Jewelry options range from very reasonable one of a kind vintage pieces to equally reasonable locally made artisan pieces. Our jewelry rarely exceeds $ 100.

Kitchens, table tops, and desk tops are all sure to find themselves looking just a bit cooler after a purchase from Boutique Fabulous.

Boutique Fabulous is a one-​of-​a-​kind… one-​stop-​shop with really fun and unique items. Since we opened in 2000, we’ve emphasized a shopping experience & vintage. It’s done by blending thousands of brand new, vintage, or local items along with awesome music and laughs. You find what’s ideal for your home or the home of that special person you want to celebrate.

Baby shower? You won’t find a better source in Cambridge or Somerville. Need a Birthday, Anniversary or Congratulations card? We have hundreds to choose from. Are you or your house stinky or need an ambience lift? We have a GREAT selection of candles and body care lines, such as Paddywax, Thymes, Naked Bee.

Business Owner

Kerri and her husband Lucas purchased Boutique Fabulous from Mara in 2014. Mara had developed a great business model with a loyal following, and for good reason! The store is beautiful and eclectic. It screams out Camberville. Exquisite vintage apparel and furniture presented beside fresh and funky gift items from the best brands. Fabulous jewelry, the best greeting card selection in Cambridge or Somerville and an unapologetic honoring of paper.

Kerri and Lucas knew it was a perfect fit. They had owned a baby boutique named Twinkle Star in Porter Square. Working the retail lifestyle fit their personalities and family life extremely well. Despite a loyal following and critical success, Twinkle Star fell victim to a changing economic climate and closed in 2012.

After reassessing, they knew what needed to be done, and pursued a traditional gift shop. They couldn’t believe their luck when they found out Mara was ready to move on to the next phase of her life.

Great little boutique in Inman square! I like to come here when shopping for gifts and cards. The cards you can color in yourself are my favorite. There are a lot of cool trinkets along with Cambridge and Somerville merchandise. Great atmosphere, they had someone playing Christmas music in the window one night in December. I can’t help but stop in to browse when I pass by after work.

This place is awesome. It’s packed with every matter of trinkets, décor, furniture, etc., mostly reasonably priced (my definition of «reasonable» does not include coasters for $ 10 each). Great place to get gifts or find well-​curated antique stuff for your apartment (priced fairly reasonably too considering what specialty chores would charge!) The woman working there was really easygoing and friendly, too, and there was no pressure to buy. Definitely a store I’ll pop into whenever I’m near.

This place is so good!!! It’s the perfect little shop to get lost in, when suddenly, you realize you’re super hungry because an hour has elapsed while you looked at every vintage trinket on display.
I love that they have a mix of everything– clever cards that say «hey I’m super thoughtful and didn’t get this from the grocery store!» Kitschy kitchen items that are bound to delight the lucky recipient. A lobster trap (yes, a real one) that inexplicable captured husband’s heart. Everything!
Their prices are varied, so you’ll find something regardless of budget. They carry a mix of brands I love (rifle paper co!), ones I’d never heard of (who makes those tea towels?!), and one of a kind vintage items.
If you’ve got a (girl) friend visiting from out of town, stroll around Inman and be sure to pop in here!

I gave this boutique 4 **** star achievement. The only reason it didn’t get the 5 is because I think it’s pricey for nick-​nacks. And being a poor grad-​student I couldn’t purchase anything except for a delish piece of chocolate which made my day! They have everything in here from gag gifts, jewelry, baby clothes, shower curtains, chocolate, furniture… oh for crying out loud you get the point just go in, you won’t be disappointed! I also like the fact the owner was buzzing about moving and setting up fresh inventory. She was friendly and said hi to me and her cute little daughter was there to help too! That’s what I love about Cambridge you get a sense of a warming environment and she was showing indirectly her 7 – 8 year old daughter how a business works!
The boutique also had a 15% coupon from Unilocal that popped up when I checked in but it was only for furniture— had this been for anything on the floor I would have given this place 5 stars.
A comment to the owner– I think you are doing a fabulous job with your boutique keep up the hard work. :)

Boutique Fabulous is such a beautiful store. It’s really an enjoyable shopping experience and completely unlike shopping in a mall store. I usually go here when I want to buy a gift for someone, which often includes myself. The products can be pricey, but it’s because they’re just high quality and often unique. My favorite thing to buy here is candles because they smell really amazing and are in gorgeous containers. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s really fun to browse and the salespeople have no problem with that.
The only negative about this place doesn’t exist anymore– they used to have signs all over that store that said something like, «Smile, you’re on camera.» I HATE those signs because instead of feeling like a treasured customer, I feel like I’m being viewed as a prospective criminal. I think I heard that ownership changed, so maybe the new owners are less uptight.

I haven’t bought anything from here yet, but I’ve browsed the store three times already since moving here just a week ago, and boy do I want everything in here! Great place for gifts, whether you are treating a loved one (or yourself!). Items range from candles to kitchenware to glassware to paper goods to clothing. You could spend an hour easily in here just going through their wonderful selection of high quality items.

Yes, I’m reviewing a place called Boutique Fabulous. And not ironically, as those two words aren’t even in my lexicon, let alone on the list of spots to shops. But for the holidays, they had the stockings for stocking stuffers and that’s okay by me.
Unlike a few other shops in the region, the shelves of BF are not overflowing with Fred, Accoutrement or other quirky fandango, instead boasting a wide array of hand-​crafted goods, local jewelry and a bulkier piece of furniture or seven.
Capturing the kitschy charm of an eccentric aunt’s salon, there is method to its organizational madness, replete with a man’s man section for when you bros find yourself hanging around the scented soaps a little too long. Expect mustachery, hygenics and etched flasks for a boost in hipstertosterone.
I’ve had loads of luck with their greeting card selection, and just recently snagged a pair of funky, fresh knee-​highs adorned with a plesiosaur for the lady. Because cryptids are so in right now.
Around the holidays, they offered free gift wrapping and I don’t believe they’d say no even in the off-​season. Go, load up and find yourself prepared for the inevitable forgotten birthday/​anniversary/​birthday-​anniversary (which, coincidentally, is still a birthday).

When I describe this place to friends, I usually call it an independently owned, affordable version of Anthropologie. I love this shop! Everything inside is fun, colorful, and eclectic. Some of it is eccentric.
The front of the shop is stocked with kitchenware and the odd socks or ties. As you go deeper, things get sparklier as you approach the jewelry case. There are many items by local artists for sale in the shop, and I wish someone would have a baby specifically so I could buy it a Somerville onesie. Or Cambridge. I’m not picky.
There are great little gifts here, for that unique piece that makes you the favorite friend at the birthday party. The back of the shop yields candles, shower curtains, lamps, and – be still my beating heart – two stuffed-​to-​the-​brim racks of gorgeous vintage finery, much of which is priced way too low to say no to.
The biggest heartbreak of my life (ok, I exaggerate) was coming back for the ultra-​chic bowling bag I’d been pining after and not finding it in stock. This of course means I will have to fall in love with some other pricey handbag, which isn’t the worst fate in life.
Also, the shopkeeps are super cute and always on trend. I have crushes on all of them!

This is what I call aspirational shopping.
I want to:
*have a beautiful kitchen that gets used for whipping up delicious meals (microwaving lean cuisines not included)
I want to:
*own things like gilded cocktail napkins and trivets and matching flatware and hand painted teapots (but really, what’s a trivet?)
I want to:
*shop vintage and pull off the classic bag & scarve combo without looking like a grandma or like I’m still playing dress up
I want to:
*always show up with the perfect kitschy & unique gift for my best friend/​in-​laws/​neighbor/​newphew/​boss for their birthday/​bat-​mitzvah/​housewarming.
Boutique Fabulous is getting me one step closer to all of these goals by providing the perfect place to pick up new and retro house goods, kitchenware, jewelry, quirky gifts, vintage clothing and more. No matter what, I always end up leaving with something for myself or as a gift after perusing this cozy gift shop in Inman. Totally worth poking in for some domestic daydreaming alone.

Such a wonderful store with so many gift possibilities.
I loved the little cup and saucer set and just had to have it. I may go back for another.
The shop is so fun, quaint, and just makes me smile.
A blast from the past Vintage but up to date. The counter is so cool to look into with its shadowbox like feel.
Cool chopsticks, wine glasses, beautiful paper lanterns and the prices were reasonable.
I didn’t get a chance to browse through the racks of gift cards so I will need to plan another day to go back.

What a name — and the store lives up to it!
The place is cute and actually affordable. There’s something for everyone! Even my hubs enjoys a stroll in there. I found my favorite clutch there (super cute) — and ladies, there’s plenty unique jewelry, accessories, and even clothes there too! Stop by if you’re in the area — or come to it if you’re not. You won’t be sorry.

This store is fun. Think of housewares and gifts section of Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie merging into one store. It does have a lot of knick knacks and kitschy items, priced at more than what I’d be willing to spend but a good spot for gifts.

This is a great example of what makes this neighborhood so cool – quirky little shops that blow your mind when you walk in.
I want to buy half the things in this store. Sometimes I imagine what my house would look like if I chose my decorations solely from here. I should totally buy my next set of gifts from this store.
I fell in love with this beautiful vintage chandelier table. I went back to see if I might persuade myself to spend the money on it, and it was GONE. I was too late. Oh well, at least I got to enjoy the rest of the fun things in the store while I was there. They have an adorable set of polka dot espresso cups that makes me want to have a tea party.
Stop by and get ready to fall in love!

Whoever makes the purchases for this store is amazing. Think anthropology, but appropriately priced, and truly unique. Great selection of candles has converted me into a candle person. And I have bought several 1940s suits… have no place to wear them, but when I saw them hanging on the wall I had to make them mine. Not the place to bring a big handbag, small dog, or bulky boyfriend – there is a lot crammed in here, but that is part of the charm.
And they seem to have an event involving free champagne or cookies several times a month. Prince William getting married? party. Fathers day? party. It’s raining out? party. Halloween? party, and a «we wont judge you even if you take a ton» candy jar.

Very cute local shop that sells a bit of everything — some of it is awesome (good jewelry, good greeting cards made by a friend of ours) and some of it borders on the kitsch — if you have some time to poke around, you’re bound to find something you like. What I like most about BF though is that they seem really committed to supporting local artists — a few months ago, they had artists selling their work in the store. The artists were chatting with customers about the creative process, and the whole vibe was just laidback and fun. It felt like BF wasn’t so interested in making a buck as it was interested in helping Inman maintain its cool, laid-​back, indie vibe.

This is hands down my favorite store in the boston metro-​area. Every single time I’m there there’s at least 5 things that I would LOVE to have.
They have equal amounts of kitsch and high-​class, and I dare you to find a woman you couldn’t find something for at this store. It’s not JUST for women, though — they have cool stuff for guys and gals alike. Keychain flasks, nice glasses, shaving kits (for men), nice artwork, freakin’ magical unicorn gum…
For almost every occasion a BF gift certificate is always on my wish-​list.
