B & B Towing

My suburban got towed, and when I went to pick it up, there were scratches and dents in the back which were not there before they towed it. I reported this to the guy, who assured me he would report it and the manager would call me. This was two days ago. I’m still waiting.

Getting towed sucks, but I caught them right as they had my car before they left, he charged me $ 90 despite having not moved my car at all. He was totally unsympathetic to any sort of stress I was experiencing. He could have given me my car back and been nice, but instead this man was extremely rude and just took advantage of the situation. Guess crying girls are fine as log as they pay. What an ass hole!

My car got towed late at night in Harvard Square. Of course, any time your car gets towed… sucks. The staff at B&B were very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. This was my first (and hopefully my last) tow experience in Boston but I’m glad the customer service is good!

A big thanks to the driver who ignored AAA’s bleak diagnosis of my non-​starting, snowbank encased car and got the old girl running like a champ, thus saving me a tow and $$ in repair bills! This was ³⁄₁₁ at the corner of Green and Pearl in Cambridge.

Came home after an hour-​and-​a-​half nightmare commute from Boston to find that my Saturn Vue was stuck in a snow bank. Although AAA told me I’d have to wait three hours for a tow truck, B & B Towing sent someone in less than an hour and pulled out the vehicle in less than five minutes. The guy was great — efficient, professional, and quick. Thank you, B & B Towing!

Located in a trailer in the back of a dimly lit parking lot in the back of an industrial park overlooking railroad tracks… need I say more?

Incredibly rude. I have avoided negative reviews in the past. But it just seemed wrong to let these guys go around insulting people when I could post a warning. Avoid them.

No one wants to get towed, but Chucky offered me a lift to get my car back, and was really nice. I can’t believe I read the sign wrong, I’m a dope. Thanks for being so cheery, Chucky.

These guys were terrible. They towed our front wheel drive car on the front wheels, potentially damaging the car, rather than call in a flatbed truck. They were extremely difficult to work with. I would definitely not recommend them, and if AAA tries to get them to tow you, request someone else!

These guys are amazing! They are super friendly and are very speedy in all of their work! I have called them twice in the last month and each time the show up when they say they will and someone even checks in right before they show up!

Was really in a bind a couple days ago. Silly me caught the edge of a curb on my way to work. The tire burst and that was that. When I called, they said it would be around an 1 hr to 1.5 hr wait. They ended up coming much earlier 25 minutes after I called. The guy (Bobby) who helped put my spare on the car was super helpful and told me everything I needed to know when driving on a spare. He did a great job and I was well on my way to work. The price was also very reasonable at $ 50! Will definitely use in the future if this ever happens again… knock on wood.

Well, it finally happened. After living the Peoples’ Republik for 7 months, I ran afoul of the city’s zero-​tolerance street cleaning tow policy. To be fair, they run a truck with a loudspeaker up and down the street, indicating which streets are being swept that morning, telling all and sundry that towing is happening. I had moved my motorcycle on Friday, but left it in a sweeper spot Monday, and zim zam zoom. Gone.
Well, one phone call to the cops got me B&B, who are open ²⁴⁄₇. I figured they’d have long since been closed at 8 pm, but there they were, and they don’t charge for another day until after midnight. So, I went and paid my fee, and they were very nice about it, even sympathetic.
They used a proper tow rig, too — some tow jerks will just dump a bike on its side on a flatbed. So none the worse for wear, but unfortunately 90 dollars lighter due to my own stupidity, off I went after a transaction of about 5 minutes. They even offered me a piece of calzone!
It could have been a lot worse.

B&B Towing drivers are running a towing racket with Gourmet Express in Porter Square. If you go anywhere before or after buying anything there, someone from B&B will have your car «attached» to their tow truck immediately.
I put «attached» in quotes because they will not rig your car to the point where they can actually drive it off the lot. Rather, the tow truck driver will offer a deal where you can either pay him $ 100 cash on the spot or let him tow it and pay B&B Towing $ 120 to retrieve it. I paid the guy, and he literally just lowered my car and drove off. It was not actually attached to the truck.
And guess what. A tow is actually only supposed to cost $ 90.

I know they run this racket all day long. I have sat over at Tavern In The Square and watched countless saps walk over to get money at the Bank of America ATM so they could pay off the thief driving the B&B Towing truck.
The drivers must be kicking back cash to Gourmet Express. I’ve been in there when the older guy who usually runs the cash register late at night has walked around and asked everyone if their car was currently parked in the parking lot.
Look, I know the sign in the parking lot says that parking is for customers only while they are in the store, but that does not excuse the thieving behavior of the B&B Towing drivers and Gourmet Express.
Hey B&B, the drivers are stealing from you.

AAA called a tow truck for me this morning and B&B was there in less than 5 minutes. The driver Chuckie was both skilled, knowledgable, and friendly. He seemed to come up with the same diagnosis that the AAA guy had assessed without having had the time to look closely. I was very impressed with how he maneuvered the tow truck and my car as we drove to my mechanic. He even gave me a lift back. There are nice people in the city!

I had an absolutely horrible experience with B&B Towing. They were utterly unprofessional in my experience.
I recommend staying away from these people.

Would Give 0 stars if possible. Worst Service and experience.
We called AAA to have a car towed. They sent B&B. The driver was rude and got bent out of shape when we wouldn’t let him take it to garage he specified. He insulted out intelligence about cars, and insisted we had no idea it what was wrong and it wouldn’t be fixed. (old serpentine belt broke).
Oh, and he also said that we would have to pay if he got a ticket for towing a car down Mystic. No one told him he had to go that way, and i’m pretty sure tow trucks are allowed on mystic, because i have seen plenty of accidents and broken cars on that road.
We will be calling AAA to complain about this company, and we will never use them again. I recommend you don’t either.

I’m annoyed I even had to give 1 star. AAA sent this company to tow my car, and I wanted to go to my garage, the driver and friend said my garage would «rape me» if I went there (very classy language to use in front of a lady) so I agreed to go to their garage. They claimed they fixed my car, charged me $ 65 and oh the next day it wouldn’t start again. So they came to tow it again, and brought it to my place, and I just so happen to go check on it, and they LEFT ALL THE DOORS UNLOCKED, so all my stuff could just get stolen, THANKS FOR THAT GUYS!!! He claimed he couldn’t lock the car without a key… but you had the key… DONT GO THERE EVER, THIS IS A HUGE SCAM AND RIP OFF.

Called AAA to have my car towed after it died earlier in the day (suspect a battery issue and didn’t want to chance the drive up 95 North during Rush Hour). These guys show up an hour later complaining about driving to my requested garage (a whopping 10 miles away, oh no) and told us to just drive it home, if it dies on the road, call back.
Terrible service, terrible experience. Remind me never to get stuck in the Cambridge/​Arlington area.

I was with a friend on JKF St in Harvard Square in Cambridge. Her car broke down so she called AAA. They told us a tow truck would be there in 30 minutes. 15 minutes later B&B Towing showed up. They were fast, very professional and friendly. They towed the broken down car to my driveway, which is pretty narrow, and were able to put it all the way in the back — its hard enough backing up into my driveway in a regular car let alone a huge tow truck!
Im going to put their number in my phone in case I need their help in the future. I definitely recommend them.

I have never been treated in such an unprofessional manner as with this company. I was told the tow truck was «2 – 3 minutes» away. Came 30 minutes later. Normally, that is fine, however I called 911, who called them, as my dog had pushed the lock and locked himself in the car with the heat blasting, and I needed either a window broken or the lock jimmied. After several calls to find out where they were, a man finally arrived, and completely bitched me out, throwing f-​bombs back and fourth… example: «Who the hell told you to call us?!» Me: 911 called you. Him: «This is fu**ing ridiculous. A call for a fu**ing dog trapped in a car. We are not fu**ing paramedics!» In an already stressful situation, he definitely stressed me out even more, and made me feel very uncomfortable around him.
I see this is not the only time a customer has been spoken to like this, after reading a previous Unilocal review. I tried to pay by check, then card, and he would only accept cash. Told me he would wait while I drive to a bank if I had to. He said they won’t accept a check because it takes $ 12 to process it. Yeah. Sure it does.
Obviously I didn’t have a choice on what tow company since the police called them. But if you do have a choice, DO NOT use them!
