Ugh so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and pricing. Can’t recommend it. Bums me out as I work close by and would have liked to make this my go to place. Oh well. Some businesses can turn away business I guess and that’s their right.

I was supposed to get my stuff back on time and of course did not happen. I was traveling and hence had no shirts to bring to my trip. Also they invented some excuses about a machine being broken and my shirts being stuck inside and could not retrieve retrieve it. Very sad to be played around like this. I have no intention to pay for this service. I will not pay.

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst dry-​cleaning experience ever! Extremely unprofessional, over-​priced, and poorly managed. Dropped off 6 shirts and 3 pants (2 for tailoring, 1 for dry cleaning). First off, it took them 30 minutes to find my clothes. Then they told me I’d have to come back in 3 days to pick up the 2 pants that needed tailoring, because they weren’t ready yet. So I took the clothes back to my room to find out they only gave me back 5 shirts. So I go back on Saturday, pick up the pants and tell them that I was missing a shirt. They tell me it was my fault, that I had only told them I was dropping off 5 shirts not 6 and that they’d see what they could do. They found the shirt yesterday, so I had to make a THIRD trip back to this place. They end up over-​charging me for a shirt which they lost track and returned a week late. Terrible customer service the entire time, acting like it was all my fault and getting extremely frustrated and testy. Every time I left this place I was in a terrible mood and extremely angry. By reading the reviews, it sounds like a lot of people are experiencing the same issues. So I’m really surprised these guys are still in business. Save yourself time, money and peace of mind and take your clothes to a place that actually cares about their job.

The dry cleaner is very unprofessional. It lost a part of my tuxedo and then tried to say I never included the item. Additionally, the did a terrible job sewing an item. They’re also overpriced. Don’t visit if you care about your clothes.

NEVER GO HERE. As for quality of work, I asked for leather soles and heels, which is what my shoes had when I dropped them off, and they came back with leather soles but rubber heels. As for customer service, my shoes were a week late, the final price was higher than initially quoted, and they refused to apply the student discount because I had not claimed it when I dropped the shoes off (rather than when I paid).

We visited Boston and had trouble finding a dry cleaner. We finally found Arrow and dropped of some of my fathers shirts and clothing on Monday. It took 3 days for the laundry to be ready– apparently they had to send it out to another dry cleaner. We went by on Thursday because we are leaving tomorrow on Friday. We stopped by at 9:30 and not everything was ready. The guy said it would take 1 hour and that he would call. He didn’t call back so we ended up getting the rest at 1pm.

I am surprised this company is still in business. This is the WORST drycleaning experience i have ever had and i would encourage you to avoid this place even if you got it for free. I dropped off 2 items of clothing here and both came back with a horrible smell and still with stains. Even worse, the expensive cashmere sweater which i gave was completely ruined (made much thinner and shrunk slightly) such that I can no longer wear it.
I went back to Arrow twice and spoke to the manager by phone — all i got was defensiveness and shouting from their uninterested and extremely rude staff. How they can survive in the customer service business baffles me, especially since they are more expensive than other dry cleaners close by. I would recommend going to Hillside dry cleaners ((617) 354‑1872) — excellent service, very polite and helpful and more competitively priced than Arrow.
Once again, I would not go near this place for drycleaning. I hear their heel tip repair service is ok, but with customer service so bad, I think you should go elsewhere.

As the comments below ascertain, it would be quicker, more reliable, and more effective to hand wash my shirts in the Charles River than get them cleaned here. This place failed on every measure possible. Their arrogant and rude attitudes towards the customers immediately put me off, but before I could reconsider my slip was shoved in my face. After 2 – 3 weeks (by far the longest time it’s ever taken), I showed up wondering if they had gone to the fountain of youth to clean my shirts. When I asked, where they were, I was told that my shirts had a stain on the collar (not true) and that they needed to be sent away. When I asked when they would be returned, she gave me a vague answer. Then I came back several days later, only to be told with all the charm of a Gestapo that the shirt with the stain was still out so I only received one of my shirts. After failing to give me a second slip for my other shirt (she took the original one), I have found getting a concrete date on when my remaining shirt will return to be more difficult than bull riding. When/​if I receive my shirt, I will not be returning to Arrow.

Much like the other reviews, I wish I had looked at the reviews prior to going to this place. The staff are extremely rude. They are unreliable, my clothes were late and they promised me they would be done the next morning before I left on my trip, I come the next morning 30 minutes after they are supposed to be open and no one is there. I waited, with the taxi meter running, another 15 minutes before I just left for the airport. I would never go to this place again.

I was looking for a place to replace a zipper on my favorite pair of boots. I stopped by this place and the the shoe repair store across the street, Cambridge Instant Shoe Repair, to get a quote. Arrow’s price was significantly cheaper so I decided to use them since I’ve done this several times before and couldn’t imagine how anything could go wrong. Well, it did. I got my boots back and it was completely BUTCHERED. They scraped down the leather where the stitches were located so you saw the raw leather rather than the antiqued brown look it originally had. In other words, there is now a ½″ strip of scraped raw light leather on my normally dark brown boots along the side of the zipper. UGH. The restitching of the zipper was horrific; it was not a straight line /​parallel to the zipper. I’ve learned my lesson, to go to a professional shoe repair store next time.

I don’t have much of a choice when it comes to cleaners so I’m happy this is my option. The woman who runs the place is pleasant but god forbid you forget the pink slip for your clothes — I thought the world was coming to an end when I told her I didn’t have it. Quality-​wise the place is great and I go there for alterations but it’s pricey for a cleaners. No clothes-​ruining experiences or miscommunications to speak off but it might be worth it to ask about prices when she tells you what days you can pick it up — I’m not sure why but I feel like occasionally she’ll give you an earlier pick up date but charge you for expedited service.

Last Saturday I took in a pair of boots that I wanted to wear to an event on Thursday. I asked how long it would take to put on a rubber outer sole, and when the man said one week I thanked him and said I’d come back another time. He immediately asked when I needed them and said Wednesday evening would be no problem.
They were not ready on Wednesday an hour before closing; I was told to come back in half an hour. Instead I went back on Thursday to find that not only were they still not ready, they weren’t even available for me to pick up and wear without the new sole! They had sent them out to another shop and couldn’t get them until Friday.
So I sucked it up and wore something different to my event. Fast forward to Saturday: I called and THEY WERE STILL NOT READY! Note: I had to call several times, because each time the woman promised to check and call me back in 5 minutes but she never did…
Oh, and none of the staff was the slightest bit apologetic during any of these interactions.
Bottom line: some of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered, unreliable service. We’ll see when I finally get my boots whether they’ve successfully soled them, but at this point I don’t even care. If I hadn’t needed quick service I would have taken them to Felix or Cambridge Instant Shoe Repair.

If you’re looking to get shoes repaired here, go elsewhere.
Last week I brought in a single pair of shoes whose soles needed to be replaced. The woman at the counter estimated that the fix would cost 50 dollars, and required a 25 dollar deposit from me. A few days later I received a call from the cobbler, who informed me that the job would actually cost 85 dollars.

I had called the woman with whom I had originally spoken the day before to let her know that I has changed my mind, and that I would to pick the shoes up. She told me that I could pick them up the next day. I arrived at the store the next day around 9:45 to pick the shoes up, only to find out that they had been moved to their second location in Kendall for cobbling, and had not yet been delivered back. I had to wait an hour for the delivery.
After picking up the shoes I headed over to a guy in Brookline who offered to do the same job for 25 dollars.

The place gets an extra star because I had forgotten to collect the 25 dollar deposit, and the woman at the counter was honest enough to flag me down outside before I biked away without it.

Simply terrible customer service.
Dropped a pair of shoes off on a Monday to replace the heel, stressed that I needed it by Thursday. On Thursday, shoes were not available, despite not getting a call to warn me. They then claim they will give me a call when they are available, but never do. I have to call them myself and pick up the shoes a full 5 days late.
Very unreliable.

I got a thin piece of rubber sole applied into one of my dress shoes at this place. They did a fine job. The only thing the sucked was that the guy who took my shoes said he would call me when it was finished, a week go by and still no calls. Finally I just called in to check the shoes’ status and he told me it was ready to take home. Anyways, the shoes looked great and price I paid for it was fair.

I was regularly doing wash and fold here, and noted how odd it was that is was so much more expensive than other places when they claimed to charge $ 1.35 /​pound.
After this had been going on for awhile, I started weighing my laundry at home first, and it turns out they have a system – they actually charge $ 1.75 a pound.
For 15 pounds of laundry, that means they charge $ 26.50 instead of $ 20.25! The last time I went in, I pointed this out and asked that they re-​weigh it. They gave me a run around about not having a scale in the store – I wonder why.
In frustration, I went home and brought my scale back, and we did a weight reading – it was 15 pounds. They guy told me «clean clothes are lighter.» Really?! 4.5 pounds lighter? He seemed to realize how ridiculous his story was, but stuck with it.
Please don’t go here. I’ve had much better luck with honest service at other places nearby.

Despite the overall negative reviews here I still wanted to try this place because it is around the corner from my house. I WANTED this place to be great, even just good… but no.
I needed the zipper on my winter coat fixed (the entire thing broke) and I figuerd I’d be paying around $ 25-​$ 40 but wanted to shop around to find the best price. I came here first and he told me $ 30 so I figured that was good enough and left. Well, when I came back to pick it up the guy says $ 39. I told him he quoted me $ 30 and he started arguing with me about how I heard him wrong and blah blah blah. So much for customer service.
Since I wasn’t in the mood to push it I just said okay whatever, and then he tells me «okay find i’ll just charge you $ 38.» Oh thanks, buddy! Because without that dollar I just wouldn’t be able to live.
I’m not cheap, I just like to pay what I’m told. If I was originally quoted $ 39 i may have gone elsewhere or I may have just said okay– but don’t quote me $ 30 and then charge me $ 39. Sadly, this is a dishonest business that will no longer be getting my business.

It’s been almost 3 weeks since I brought my boots in to get the zipper repaired, and I really wish I’d read these reviews beforehand.
I called to check on the status of the boots the other day and the woman told me she would check into it and call me back. Well, I guess what she meant was that she wasn’t going to call me back. I must have missed that part.
Called again today. She had me call the cobbler (isn’t this something SHE should be doing? I would have brought the boots directly to the cobbler if I knew I could).
The cobbler was much more pleasant than anyone at Arrow Dry Cleaners, but I still don’t have my boots and I’m wondering if they’ll bother to call me when they are finally done. I’m guessing they won’t.

Am I the only one to have anything positive to say abt Arrow? Sadness.
I dropped off 3 pairs of my favorite heels here instead of my usual place, Felix, on the recommendation of a friend who said Arrow was cheaper. The work was pretty straightforward (i.e. fix the heels, clean up a bit), so I figured I would take a chance. The lady who rang me up couldn’t have been nicer — she must have said «have a good day» 3 or 4 times, but in a nice way. My shoes turned out fine, and my wallet was happy as the price was, indeed, much more reasonable than Felix.
I hope someone gives them a try for shoes!

What a dumbass I am. Why didn’t I read the reviews first? For the love of god don’t go here. The woman behind the counter is cah-​raaazy.
So, I went two weeks ago and brought some pants to be hemmed, because the awesome guy who used to do my $ 10 pants hemming went out of business. I was greeted by a very sweet young woman who did the measuring and sent me on my way. A week later I pick up my pants, pay the $ 14.50…ok great. That’s about what I was expecting to pay, the pants are even and so I thought I had my new tailor. The woman behind the counter this time was an obstreperous woman who made me wait while she finished her conversation with her friend, but I thought… hey, whatever. She adds a little character.
The next day I wore my newly tailored jeans and liking the outcome and price, brought a second pair in to be hemmed. The same unpleasant woman was behind the counter, she took my measurements and again, they need an entire week to do the job. Warning lights are starting to go off now in my head – why does it take a week to hem some friggin’ jeans? But OK, maybe that means they are popular which is a good sign. Right? Maybe?
I go to pick up my pants today and they cost $ 16. When I questioned the woman, saying I paid $ 14.50 last time, we had the following insane dialogue:
«Oh, that must have been ages ago.»
«No, it was last week. It was actually these pants. [I lift a leg and gesture to the hem.]»
«Well, it must have been with someone else.»
«No, it was with you. I wrote a check to you [they don’t take cash] for $ 14.50. Why is it more today? How much should I regularly expect to pay for hemming?»
«Well, it’s normally $ 15 but because these are wide leg jeans, it’s $ 16.»
Bullshit. First of all, they aren’t wide leg jeans. Second of all… even if they were… no. I used to hem my own jeans in highschool and I know exactly how long it takes (two minutes, in case you’re wondering). Even if they *were* wide leg, that’s no reason for it to cost more.
But whatever, I don’t care about the $ 1.50 so I let the cheap cretin keep it. However I will NEVER go back there again. What kind of crazy shit is that? the look on her face as she spouted out lie after lie gave me the heebie jeebies. Avoid this place at all costs.
