Spellbound Herbs

I had been planning to come into this shop before visiting Cambria on vacation. It was everything I expected and more. The shop and garden are so charming! I spent over a half hour photographing flowers and butterflies in the garden. To make the experience even more enjoyable, the girl on staff had a mixture of the Cocteau Twins and Siouxsie & the Banshees playing; two of my favorite bands! I can’t wait to come back to Spellbound this year. :)

The highlight to this shop for me is the little garden they have outside. It’s a nice little retreat from the rest of the already quiet town. It also has some incredibly character to it with each little corner themed after different things from Fairyland to The Shire.

Such a beautiful shop! I found plenty of nice jems to return with as well as new succulents to add to my garden. I seriously could have spent hours here.
Thank you for sharing the charm of Cambria with us, that small town feel was definitely experienced here. We will be back each time we visit!

Love this amazing little shop. I received a gift of whipped body scrub last year from a friend from this shop that smelled and felt wonderful. When I finally visited the shop I instantly loved it. I stocked up on the homemade essential oils with scents with names like water lily, summer harvest and lilac. They have teas and potpourri you can buy by the ounce, cards, lotions, soap, honey, etc. Great gifts or a little something for yourself. unfortunately the garden was closed when we went so hoping to catch it next time I come. Check this place out.

We love this little shop on Burton Drive at the east side of Main Street in Cambria. It used to be Heart’s Ease… name changed recently but the store, the products they sell and the garden are still the same! Love coming in here… it smells so good and the garden is just so relaxing and fascinating! I wish my garden looked like it! When the garden is in full bloom, its beautiful and you are sure to find butterflies and birds around! They sell incense, lotions, potpourri, candles and lots of garden décor and stuff!!! Our Cambria trip is never complete without a visit to this shop!!!

Love this shoppe and boutique nursery. I purchased a Spanish Lavender plant, and hubby purchased some Lemon Verbena soap. The entire shoppe is quaint and filled to the rafters with sweet treasures. Outside they offer all kinds of herb type plants and succulents. When I purchased the Lavender plant, the lady behind the counter was so kind and patient as to answer all of my questions on caring for my new herbal treasure. Will go back again. Another «pawsitive» note they let us bring our small dog inside with us, on his leash, and also thru the nursery area.

My Girl loves this shop, we never miss it when visiting Cambria. Fresh Herbs, oils, toys, plants, it’s a really cool little shop, and the Fairy Garden out back is awesome. Worth checking out for sure, and not too expensive.

I come here whenever I am in Cambria. In fact, this last visit to Cambria was specifically for this shop. Their herbs are fresh, and the store isnt horribly over priced in their essential oils collection. They also have an amazing fresh herb garden outside and wonderful trinkets and other supplies. My two stevia plants died and I was elated to find fresh, affordable stevia here that I can use in my teas.
Also, my cats LOVE their catnip bags!

I come to this location each and every time I am in Cambria. I purchased incense and they wrapped them so nicely. This place is outstanding for lotions, soaps just perfect for last minute gifts. Also it also has many different bottles for your oils.

A charming little house surrounded by flowers. Inside, they sell wonderfully fragrant potpourris, candles, lotions, and best of all: catnip. Any time I’m in Cambria, kitty will get ‘Cambria magic catnip’ when I return.
The garden outside Spellbound Herbs is inhabited by fairies, whimsy and some potted plants waiting to go home with you.
You can also buy seeds and grow your own, fairy-​inhabited garden at home.

Spellbound herbs has me spellbound. I like to stop in and look at all the tschotskes and visit the fairies out in the garden. Unfortunately, while it’s fun to look at all their stuff, I don’t think I’ve ever spent a dime in the store… maybe a bit overwhelming? Still, it’s a fun stop to explore each time I’m in Cambria.

I always try to stop by this shop when I visit Cambria. This is truly a hidden, magical gem!
The scent of dried herbs wafts around you as you browse through the store. They have an eclectic collection of herbal products, books, cards, and whimsical gifts. The hidden gem is really the fairy garden behind the store, full of herbs, fairy houses, benches for little people, and unexpected characters at each turn. Friendly service too!

Super cute gift store centered around garden and herbs. Had an awesome selection of bulk herbs, teas, and potpourri. Gifty stuff, cards, and an interesting garden outside that weaves around different themes.
Where the improvement could be made in the plants and garden themselves. It appeared run down, unkept, and many things dead.

Cute place with a mish mash of items. They have a ton of gifty items for yourself, for your home and for yourself again.

Heart’s Ease first caught my eye with its «Nobody Gets In To See The Wizard Not Nobody Not No How» sign hanging on the side of the shop. Once inside, I found it to be a magical place, filled with herbs & spices (even myrrh), potpourri selections, little bird figurines, sachets, pillows filled with balsam wood, catnip, lotions, and more. When I bought a couple of items, the cashier wrapped them up in a brown bag, placed some tissue inside, and tied it with a leaf and a ribbon. Just lovely! I’ll definitely make a point of visiting the shop again on future visits.

Walking to the front door of the cottage of Heart’s Ease is what I liken to anticipating a visit with a dear friend. Not that I know the shopkeepers here, despite the number of times I have entered this little house. For now, that’s fine; usually, I have been traveling with thoughts on my mind, and I’m in the shop because I am seriously considering to purchase a gift. One of the main reasons I like Heart’s Ease is that I can look deeply into the wares while enjoying how the items are displayed. What I see is delightful — it does ease the heart.
The soap selection is outstanding. The book collection and cards are always of interest as are the gardening-​related items. Over the years, I have purchased herbal starts here, and have been pleased by their presence in my home garden. It is always reassuring to experience an older Californian house and garden cared for so lovingly, and the bonus is that this is a business. Here I can visit unannounced, anonymous, and feel that there’s a good chance that I will walk away with something I want.

I just love this store, the smell of the potpourri and candles, the heirloom seeds, the gardening supplies, and the fairy garden out back. I bought some seeds and a candle here, and the sweet girl behind the counter handed it to me neatly wrapped with a sprig of fresh rosemary. Refreshing!

Do not miss this place if you are traveling to Cambria. Heart’s Ease is a beautiful garden with charming gift shop attached. You can help yourself to the giant potpourri jars and mix your own selection. The garden is a total delight. Every nook and cranny in the shop and garden are filled with discoveries. The employees are nice and friendly, and they wrap your purchase, however small, with a bit of fresh greenery and/​or flowers.
Yes, there are usually men and boys waiting out in front, having quickly gotten tired of the place, but even there, the benches and view of a Cambria side street are charming.

I am not a fan of lacy, frilly stuff. This store screams all things lacy and girly. There are trinkets hanging in every little corner. The place is jam packed full to the gills. I found myself sucking my gut in just to walk through th potpourri section.
The smell of lavender has the same exact effect that Cinnabon in the mall does to me. Makes me want to do inappropriate things to my credit cards. I am a sucker for a cinnamon-​butter flavored carb and the inducing relaxant of lavender.
They sell a lotion that is home made and ONLY available through this store and on their website. I bought everything they had. The lady thought I was a lunatic. I made it a point to mention if this ‘lotion artist’ woke up tomorrow and decided she hated lavender and no longer wanted to make lotion and joined a cult… then at least I have the last of the store’s inventory.
Men never stay in this store for more than 3 minutes. Unless they’re gay. Which is fine. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay… it’s actually a plus sometimes. You double your wardrobe if you’re the same size.
