Hello we are a boutique hotel owned and operated by Pacifica Hotel Corporation the largest hotel company in San Luis Obispo County. We are one of many sister hotels located on the ocean front along Moonstone Beach drive. I have worked for Pacifica for 3 years where I started at the front desk at our of our hotels, then moved into lead sales ambassador, then was promoted again to assistant general manger and finally to the Fireside as the general manager. I have my degree in hospitality and I love the fast pace of the hotel world and working one on one with our guests.

Fireside Inn recently purchased by Pacifica Hotels (last time we stayed there a few years ago it was «Best Western Fireside Inn». Stayed one night. Price was reasonable. Room was large, newly updated furniture, paint, drapery and bedding. Bathroom exceptionally clean and modern. Carpets were clean to walk on (no dirty feet from shower to bedroom). Keurig coffee maker in room. Hot breakfast was served until 10 a. m. Staff was very kind and professional. Would we stay again? Yes, most definitely.

This was such an enjoyable little stay. The inn offers little suites with fireplaces and private patios that overlook the ocean. It is quaint, but what you should expect when you visit America’s number 1 small town. Time seems to slow down or stop while there. You are a short walk from the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk, as well as the Moonstone Tide Pools. My son loved climbing the rocks and exploring the tide pools at low tide. At high tide the wave crash over the rocks offering a picturesque surrounding. The sunset is something to not miss from your patio.

Amazing location… The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. Their recommendations were right on for dinner and lunch. The room was wonderful. Bed comfy. push button fireplace so cozy. Jacuzzi tub fabulous. The view from our room was absolutely spectacular. Watched the sun go down from our room and patio. The breakfast in the morning was good. We brought it back to the room and enjoyed it. I think this is our new favorite place to visit. The only negative thing I can say is the shower head was wacky… it is so high up in the shower that it doesn’t spray well. We will definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful time in Cambria and stayed in the Deluxe King Room with the fireplace, patio and jetted tub (the one pictured on their site). The room was a delight, as we could see the ocean and the fireplace from the bed. You could hear the ocean with the door open, but it was very quiet with the door closed. The room was large and all of our needs were met. (One caution is that the heater kept the room to warm… we had to keep it turned way down). The staff was very nice and pleasant (everyone we talked to, went out of their way to help us. They allowed us an early check in and let us upgrade our room upon request. The bfast was good, but the serving room was quite small and the tables a bit crowded together. (I recommend eating bfast at Linn’s in town. The food there was the «bomb»…very fresh and tasty. I will return.

Our tradition is to stay Christmas Eve at Moonstone Beach. This year we choose this hotel. We got a dog friendly room westward facing with a fireplace and a sunken tub. The room was very mediocre. My husband had to adjust the shower head as it sprayed in all directions. Still could not get it to work. This is a non smoking hotel but I’m pretty sure the person who checked us in was smoking in the back. Last year we stayed at Moonstone Landing. Much better accommodations. I would not stay here again.

Dingy. Lacks charm. There are a lot of motels along Moonstone Beach. Pay a little more and stay at a place that’s been renovated recently.

Great location, but isn’t every hotel on Moonstone Beach? Who had the audacity to rate this motel as 3 stars!?! Good God!
This place is exceptionally average with the exception being the manager – He’s an über snitty, little PITA who doesn’t understand the meaning of the words «customer service.»
At these inflated prices (for what used to be a Best Western), and with a plethora of
nicer motels on the strip, he should mind his manners. After all, dear, we’re paying your salary. Two stars is generous.

We had an excellent stay here. I am glad we booked at this inn. We have stayed in the area before and we’re looking for a room with a water front patio. We booked this room only 4 days ahead of time. I called the in directly to make sure we would indeed receive a waterfront patio. I asked the person if they were giving me the best price possible and he offered me the internet rate and that saved us $ 50. I say another review where someone paid $ 600 a night for the room and they felt it was worth $ 300. We paid $ 300 and felt it was very fair. The only downside is that it stated AIR conditioning when we got to the room we noticed that it is a fan that creates cold air and turns left and right. Coming from AZ this is not considered air conditioning. If I paid $ 600 for the night I would have been more upset. The front desk attendants patty and Justin were move than welcoming. Our room was not ready so they watched our bags and got us all set in the pool and spa while we waited. I also left my toiletry bag at my mother in laws and they gave us toothpaste, tooth brushes, and a comb which got is through the day. The views were amazing from the bed and from the patio. We also liked that the inn was located on the north side of the area so there was less traffic of tourists walking by. We highly recommend this inn. Thank you. Tiffany and Matthew

We stayed overnight at this hotel. It has clean rooms, a 24 hour friendly reception which is great especially when you reach late at night. A decent basic breakfast is served. The location is beautiful, right across the broad walk. A relaxing hotel.

We had an exceptional stay here. Everyone we came in contact with were so friendly and genuine. Andy was a stand out. The large room was beautiful and had almost-​too-​good-​to-​be-​true comfortable beds. They’ve paid attention to the details and it shows everywhere. The Inn is directly across from the boardwalk and Moonstone Beach. You can hear the ocean from the room and see countless stars in the night sky. We plan on returning and very highly recommend this Inn!

Spent 4th of July here with my 9 month old and husband and had a wonderful time. Staff was very accommodating and provided a crib for our little one. I was very pleased with the service, overall cleanliness, and of course the amazing continental breakfast. Will definitely comeback and recommend to others.

This is simply for the customer service I received from Andy, over the phone. I tried checking for availability for my family + our dog and he went above and beyond with his customer service. He really cared about my request, and even offered me other options to help make my travel plans more accommodating. Not that’s service I can appreciate. Two thumbs up for Andy!

My family has stayed at a few of the Pacifica hotels on our trip through coastal California and all of them have been great! The complimentary breakfast is a step up from most. We also enjoyed free wifi and free parking. Everyone at the desk was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

We fell more in love with Cambria after our stay at The Fireside Inn. The location right off the ocean view Boardwalk was ideal and so picturesque. What a refreshing sight to walk out of our cozy room to a breathtaking view and lovely stroll through the wildflower and succulents! The room was spacious and so comfy with a fireplace and heater both. The bed was as soft as a cloud and earned us both the most restful night sleep we had enjoyed in a while. The staff was friendly and so helpful and invited us back, which we will most definitely be taking them up on in the very near future!
Price was a little higher than we normally spend but very worth the price tag considering the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. Love this place!!!

Absolutely beautiful location and a lovely room. We didn’t get there until almost 11 pm and the man at the desk greeted me and was quick about getting us (2 adults and 2 kids) to our room. The room was clean, had a small fridge, fireplace, and was roomy. The bathroom was pretty small but it got the job done. The breakfast provided was very decent, more than just the bagels and muffins. The staff was very friendly and the site was very clean. The only little issue I had was a $ 25 charge I found on my card after our trip. When I called and asked about it I was told it was a hold charge done after check-​in in case I bought anything (wine, snacks, etc.), I was not told about it at check-​in but I also didn’t pay attention to if it was mentioned on the site or when booking the room. I was told that the charge would not go through. I would definitely stay there again. Such a beautiful location!

Also, fire place is a very nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk right across the way to the board walk to come back to the fire place.

This place looked like heaven to me after our stay at a truly tacky motel in Pacific Grove. We were welcomed by a charming gentleman who gave us lots of information about the area. The room was spacious, the décor attractive, and the bathroom quite nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were on the soft side, but we found them comfortable. We had a little patio, but it seemed pointless as it was right on the parking lot; if I had wanted to lounge outside I would have gone over to the small but appealing pool area. The beach is right across the road, but alas, it was too foggy to be inviting.
The only downside was the breakfast: the room is small with tables crowded together, and the offerings just ok — pre-​made cheese omelets disappointing, coffee so-​so (OJ was fresh and good, though).
Another issue for us, though no fault of the hotel, was that we could not find a convenient, affordable place for dinner, other than a noisy burger joint. We chose the Fireside because it was within our budget — but food wasn’t!
Altogether, a very pleasant 2-​day stay, and recommended.
