Meet the Business Owner
Brad R.
Business Owner
Brad Root has been one of the rising chefs in the Portland Metro area for many years. Starting back 1988, Brad was working at the Heathman Hotel. After just four years and a variety of positions, Brad worked his way up to the position of executive sous chef. Then Brad helped open Higgins Restaurant in 1994 and served as executive sous chef. From 1996 until 2002, Brad served as executive sous chef and kitchen manager at Portland’s Wildwood Restaurant.
In 2003 Brad launched his own restaurant — Roots! Roots is named to imply what the Restaurant aims to deliver. Delicious cusine rooted in the freshest ingredients that can be obtained in the pacific northwest served up with classic French influenced style.
