Unique Moving

I have used Unique Moving three times, so that should say something. The first two moves – a bolt was missing from my bed, a connecting board fell off the bottom of my bed, and they drove off with my step stool (which I later recovered). And the movers always seemed like they had drunk two pots of coffee. This third time was smooth as silk. My movers were Starla and David. What a team. They were not wired, yet got the job done in a timely manner, and were pleasant to be around. I did not tip them, because moving is so expensive, and I never understand why I, as a client, should help pay a mover’s wages on top of the moving charge. But If I had extra money, I would have tipped them a lot. I will use them again in the future.

CONSCIENTIOUS AND CAPABLE!
We needed our upright piano moved up a tall narrow wood staircase. Their quote was the best so I was a bit worried. But they were strong and hard working, and really listened to our concerns. Thumbs up, Unique!

The WORST movers EVER! I would never recommend this company to anyone! Hell, I did more more moving than they did. This move should have been a piece of cake considering I had everything packed, organized and 90% of the boxes I moved to the garage myself. Instead, they sent 2 inexperienced guys, granted I requested 3 and the young man who supposedly had more experience packed the truck so poorly that my items barely fit. It was ridiculous!!! They moved like turtles on purpose clearly to rack up my bill. I will never ever ever use or recommend this company again!!! Folks Beware!!!

I called on Friday to see if I could get moved from two locations on the following Monday. No problem is what I was told. The movers showed up on time ready to load the truck. The movers introduced themselves and got to work. They were polite and got the work done within the quoted time without any damages. I will use them again and will refer them to my friends and family.

Best moving experience ever! These guys know how to protect your stuff, from precious antiques to just stuff. They wrap and protect everything, from the largest piece down to the smallest, and deliver it to your new place without a scratch, being careful to place it just where you want it! Very friendly, very professional and reasonable, too! If you need a mover, you need to call Unique Movers! Ask for Ortiz, Carlos, Enrique and Ritchie. This team worked hard, fast and really took pride in taking care of our stuff! Thanks, guys!

Punctual, efficient, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and STRONG. Starla and Seraphin helped us pack our POD and I remain amazed at how much stuff they were able to put in it. I would use Unique Moving again without hesitation.

Moving is stressful, from the First call Valerie was very polite easy to work with. I’d like to give a shout out to Unique movers Ortiz & Sergio these guys hustled I mean ran! came in under the estimate. Not a scratch took all precautions not to scratch or damage any thing so careful and polite. they had all the equipment, truck was clean looked good. They arrived on time which I can say from past moves didn’t happen. I hate moving but this company made it easier

Hey DON’T LOOK ANY FURTHER THAN UNIQUE MOVERS! Rodney and his crew packed and moved me from Ventura to Palm Springs in December of 2013. Best moving experience ever, they were with me every step of the way. Professional, conscious, on time and communicated everything upfront, no shocking surprises… Now I’m moving back and wasted no time calling Rodney to take me back to Ventura. It was a big mistake moving to Palm Springs but not using Unique Movers!!! Never entertained calling anyone else.

They broke a sliding computer drawer, turned my vanity upside down to carry it, nicked and scraped numerous items. One guy kept getting cell phone calls. I would not recommend them or use them again.
Over 3 months later–
An update for future moving victims… These guys never did a thing for me after my less than perfect move, how come? I don’t know but this is not how you get return customers or future recomendations, period.

Do. NOT. Use. ANY. OTHER. COMPANY!!!
We have unfortunately had to move several times in the last couple of years, thanks to rental companies gauging renters.
These guys are THE BEST!
Professional: they call back when you need them to; they let you know everything up front; they clearly have a good time with their co-​workers, but do so in a professional and careful (for your things) manner.
Cost-​Effective: these guys cost things out for you before the move starts to make sure you get the best deal. We unfortunately have to move on June 1^st — again — and they broke down the cost of boxes for us, helped us figure out the cheapest way to manage the move, and so on. When they show up on moving day, they break everything down for you.
Careful and safe: safety for your things, themselves, and everyone in your house is important to these guys. They wrap stuff you thought shouldn’t have been wrapped; they make sure the area is clear so no one is injured. These guys are on it!
We moved just a year ago and unfortunately have to move again, due to completely unreasonable increases in our rent. When I called they remembered us and helped me figure out the best way to handle this. We have always been so happy with these moves, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I’ve moved more than a few times over the years and had some very bad experiences with moving companies so I know what I’m talking about. So I asked some close friends and my real estate broker who they use and which company is the best. I got referred to Rodney Watson with Unique Moving Inc. These guys were the best moving company I ever used. From the beginning of setting the move date (which I had to change once at the last minute which was no problem) Rodney was extremely professional and considerate in every way. The movers who came to move me, Randy, Carlos, and Richy, were just outstanding. These guys REALLY knew what they were doing. First class all the way. They worked hard, and fast, and most importantly were EXTREMELY careful (as I had many breakables and glass etc). I had moved away from this same condo 11 years ago with the same stuff into an apartment — and now with the exact same stuff — I was moving back to the same condo. The movers 11 years ago took 9 plus hours to do it with 3 guys. These three guys with Unique Movers — did the exact same move — in exactly 6 hours. And again, they were meticulous and careful at the same time. They just moved fast, worked smartly, and worked their butts off, hard to do that and be so careful at the same time. They filled the 24 foot truck top to bottom — and did it all — moving out and moving in — in 6 hours. I am beyond happy. Best moving company I ever worked with and can’t imagine anyone doing a better job. Referring these guys to all my family and friends. Rodney is aces, and he makes sure he has great people who work for him and with him. I’m not being paid to write this — and I’m not doing it to suck up to Unique Movers — this is the real deal. These guys are the best hands down.

Do NOT use this company — I am currently waiting for my belongings — they have no idea when they will bring me my belongings — they said they are waiting for the truck to be filled — I used true king relocation and they set up this move — they are the worse — movers rescheduled multiple times and then they were late. Again — I still don’t have my belonging — absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I only game one star cause Unilocal made me

I wanted to let you know that I used UNIQUE MOVING, INC. last Friday for my move. I informed them that I had 2 VERY heavy and large TV’s. They sent over 2 movers, one of which was a woman (no judgment) and although the TV was working great Friday morning by Saturday during installation it no longer worked. It flashed 11 red lights which means that it was dropped during the move and no longer is working. I contacted the company who came out to look at it and because there was… no visual break on the outside and because there were no witnesses to their mishandling of the TV they settled the matter for ZERO dollars. This TV was over $ 2000. I didn’t expect them to pay a large sum for the damage but expected a fair amount settlement for my loss. I had to not only get a new TV but also had to recycle the broken TV, as you can’t just throw it in the trash. Please note how UNIQUE MOVING treats their clients next time you are researching movers.

Starla and TJ were absolutely amazing! We moved from Arizona and they were there to meet us in California ready to get us unloaded and moved in. They were kind and courteous. We even had our boys running around under the age of 5 and they just acted like they were no issue. Thank you so much for the last minute help. We will definitely use you again!

We had a great experience with Unique Movers. We moved out of a 2 story house into another 2 story house 40 minutes away and everything was done in 9hrs. They were professional, positive and enthusiastic about their jobs. They made extra special effort to ensure nothing was damaged during the move. Not one piece of furniture, glass, wall or door frame was scuffed, damaged or broken during the entire process. From quote to completed job, these guys were professional all the way. I highly recommend (I am a real customer, not a friend or family member).

Quite impressed with the team (Starla and Richard) they sent out to help me with my move. Not only did they call before coming, they were on time and Rodney’s quote was spot on. One furniture had been damaged but they were good about getting it resolved.

My wife and I recently moved from one city to another in So-​Cal and after researching all the possibilities, we chose Unique Movers. Couldn’t have made a better choice. The crew, Carlos and Starla, were extremely pleasant, efficient and helpful. They arrived on time at both ends, worked quickly and turned what could have been a stressful event into a relaxed one. All of our furniture and household items were delivered intact, and assembled when necessary. Of all the times I’ve had to endure the process of moving in this lifetime, this was by far the most successful. Highly recommended.

We decided to receive a quote from this moving company after reading positive reviews on here. The staff in the office is pleasant and they offer discounts on their website. *Tip — you will save more money by taking advantage of one of their offers rather than purchasing a Unilocal promotion as they have a 3 hour minimum (i.e. Unilocal promotion offered $ 100 voucher for $ 75 and if you follow them on twitter or «like» their Facebook page, you save $ 10/​hour.
Since their quote is based solely on time (plus distance & flights of stairs), I recommend doing as much of «the easy stuff» as you can to save money.
Our movers were pleasant, handled our items with care, and nothing was damaged in the move. Phew!
I would use this company again in the future and highly recommend to anyone in need of this type of service.
