Welcome to The Wine Closet! Located just off Hwy 101 inCamarillo, we invite you to come by and check out our unique wine selection, craft beer menu and relaxing tasting room.

Come in, relax, and enjoy a flight or glass of handcrafted wine or beer and a bite to eat in our comfortable tasting room. Our wine and beer bar is open daily with wine available by-​the-​glass and beer by-​the-​bottle. Wine tasting is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday when you can enjoy a 4-​wine flight for only $ 12, or $ 10 for Closet Wino Club Members.

We specialize in small production, artisan wines from Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, Napa, Sonoma, and around the world. Let our knowledgeable staff assist you in selecting the perfect bottle for every occasion. All of our wines are hand selected, and we only sell wines we would drink ourselves because life’s too short to drink mediocre wine!

Who doesn’t like good wine? Well, we love it, and we like to share it, talk about it, learn about it, and best of all, taste it! If you’re interested in wine, come see us and find out how wonderful wine can be because life is too short to drink mediocre wine.

When I opened The Wine Closet, my goal was to provide a service to the wine consumers of Ventura County. Our wine is hand selected with care, and my motto is «I wouldn’t carry a wine I wouldn’t drink myself.» I like to think of it as my collection that I’m sharing with my customers. I take the time to understand your likes and dislikes so you’ll feel comfortable and actually enjoy the process of selecting wine for dinner, or for a gift or to drink on pizza night!

If you enjoy experiencing wine, you’ll enjoy your experience at The Wine Closet. Life is too short to drink mediocre wine.

The Wine Closet has become a staple in our lives. We try to pop in whenever we can. I have yet to meet ANYONE who can nail down each individuals taste for various wines like Linda can. I’d say more wonderful things, but every time I do more people show up and I’m afraid I’ll get squeezed out. ;)

I love this place. In fact I’m spoiled because I always get fantastic wine when I purchase a bottle of wine here and I will never buy a bottle from anywhere else again. I know of no other place where you can get tasting notes on every bottle! The owner and all the employees are so friendly and incredibly helpful. I can’t believe I am just now getting around to reviewing The Wine Closet. I’ve been coming here for years. I’ve been a wine club member for years. I absolutely love this place. My only complaint is that it isn’t in Thousand Oaks, which is where I live. Linda has an amazing palate and she doesn’t pour any wine that she herself hasn”t tasted and approved. Cheers!

Best place in Ventura County for good wines. Boutique style wines and an owner that knows her wines. Linda has a good repor with restraunts in the area, some will wave corking fees. Try the wind tasting on Thursday night then buy a bottle or 3 and go have dinner at Verona Trattoria. Great night. Thank you Linda for a great selection and I have never been disappointed with any thing I have purchased.

We love The Wine Closet. There is no better place in the area to try incredible wines at reasonable prices. The ambience is pleasant, and Linda’s love and knowledge of wine is evident in every glass she pours. Her wine club («Closet Winos») allows us to try a number of reasonably priced wines that are special. As club members, we’re able to take advantage of a discount on tastings as well as every bottle we buy. We’ve taken advantage of the free corkage at local restaurants but also have enjoyed the ability to order a cheese plate or food from Café Verona next door as the mood strikes. Fun, low-​key way to relax for the evening.

Wonderful Experience!
Linda and her staff provided an incredible wine tasting experience. I brought a bus tour from San Diego and dropped 50 people on them. Not only were they prepared but the whole day turned into a full out wine party. You can’t ask for better hosts. They were the highlights of our tour and I hope to bring another tour in for a visit in the near future. The atmosphere was fresh and Some words vibratious. The set up is perfect for small or large groups.

Loved the host Linda! It was our first time there and she was very helpful. The only thing I would change is the layout. Get rid of those tables and add more cozy chairs that can be grouped and a table to put a cheese tray on to share with friends

Upon walking in to the Wine Closet I was greated by the sounds of classic rock and the smile of the owner Linda. Me being a craft beer geek I cruised over to the «beer closet» to check out the vast selection of local to International treats. I selected an Einstok White ale that paired epically with my cheese, fruit, olive, cracker, hummus platter! Will I come back… oh hell yes!

We dropped by here for the Camarillo food/​wine crawl and had THE worst experience. Excuse my french, but the people working when we came in were snotty bitches. That’s putting it nicely. We got here towards the end of the crawl and when my friends handed the lady their glass, she refused to fill them unless they bought a bottle. I won’t even begin to describe how angry we all were. They legitimately didn’t want to serve us even though it was their obligation to. Instead of causing a scene, we took the high road and walked over to French Bulldog instead where the staff provided excellent service and kept re-​filling our glasses when they were empty. We never had to ask for a refill, they just kept pouring.
Needless to say, I will never set foot in this establishment ever again. Nor will any of my friends and everyone I know because I will share our experience with all of them.
