We were referred to Vickie amongst other planners when we started this wedding process. After my first conversation with her, I knew we had to have her, and convinced my fiancé the same immediately. Right off the bat Vickie came across as kind and fun-​loving, yet sharp, organized and absolutely committed to getting the job done.
Throughout the planning process we bonded over more than just table layouts and timelines — we shared stories of our own families and lives — and by the time our wedding came I truly felt like we were working with a good friend and in good hands. She pushed us to reconsider details that we had cast aside that she believed were important, and yet respected our overall vision for the event, budget, and personalities. I was yet to meet an individual in our planning process who truly wanted us to be happy, and never pushed an agenda. Yet Vickie, and all of her recommended vendors, are all of these things.
Furthermore, Vickie’s eye for detail and insistence on those «pretty» details meant she went above and beyond with respect to styling and put together gorgeous tablescapes with our florist, and arranged countless decors and extras to make our wedding look its very best.
Most importantly, her positive attitude transcended any misstep or bad news that came up in the planning process, and on our big day. Even when things did go wrong, Vickie handled them like an absolute pro, kept a cool, level head, and pivoted to find a solution.

Vickie Berry at My Lovely Events is an amazing, hardworking, professional, super friendly and a great individual! My now husband and I were not planning on having a wedding but eloping. Last minute, we decided to plan a wedding in one month. I found Vickie through Unilocal,to be my wedding coordinator three weeks before my wedding. Our first conversation on the phone, I instantly knew she was going to be great to work with. She was so nice, professional and very understanding with our budget. I told her, we weren’t planning on having a wedding but are now planning a last minute one, and that we really only wanted a day of coordinator. She said it was not a problem that she can come up with price that was fitting to our needs. I was (still am) so thankful that she was willing to help us out. Vickie went out of her way, helping me speak to vendors, email/​contact people, and making sure that I was doing okay (before, day of and after the wedding). I never felt like Vickie was trying to make things her own way or take over anything, but alway having a positive, hard working, helpful attitude and making sure we were happy. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Vickie and Christina were right on top of everything. She and her assistant stayed on time with the schedule, helped problem-​solved any bumps in the road with timing and other issues, were helpful, friendly, even helped pack up the decorations at the end of the night (huge help) and always made sure that we (bride and groom) were doing well. Thank you, Vickie and Christina for making our day wonderful, running smoothly and a day to remember!

We planned to do our wedding on our own, but a few of our friends suggested that I contact Vickie. She was very professional with a great personality. We told her what we were looking to accomplish and she had such amazing ideas that I would have never thought of. I had never seen such a beautiful wedding and I couldn’t believe it was ours! Vickie Berry at My Lovely Events is one of the most professional and hardworking people you will find in the Events industry. I had known Vickie from a past life where we worked together in a fast paced business environment, so I knew going in that she was an honest, hardworking person that has exceptional leadership capabilities and an unmatched skill at «getting stuff done.» She is the kind of person who is kind-​hearted and cares too much about her work. Pair her great personality traits with her sharp style and eye for detail and she makes the perfect person for event organization.
Her vintage rental furniture is to die for and it made for a very special atmosphere for my ceremony and cocktail hour. In addition to being the day of coordinator, it was an added bonus to have her keen eye to style all of the décor and make my wedding absolutely look as though it were out of a magazine.
I had a large wedding, over 200 people, and I chose an airport as the venue, so there were a lot of pieces that had to come together to make it work. Working in a space that is not normally used as a wedding venue poses lots of challenges, Vickie did an exceptional job coordinating a ton of vendors and working around the rules and regulations of having a wedding at an active airport.
Leading up to the event, Vickie met with me and my vendors on numerous occasions, making sure that all the details were in place. She provided me with organizational lists and timelines making sure every point person was where they needed to be when they needed to be there. I was on a budget so a lot of the elements of the wedding were do it yourself and needed lots of attention in transportation and assembly; Vickie executed all of these items with care as though it was her own. There was a lot of labor and a lot of effort that went into making it look exactly as I had envisioned. Because we were on a budget, some of the vendors and resources I used needed a lot of supervision, and Vickie was there to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Vickie went above and beyond her contract responsibilities both in her meetings and organization prior to the event and on the day of to make sure the event was everything that I envisioned and more.
Patience is a virtue, and one that Vickie definitely has. I have a big, wild group of family and friends and keeping them in line even at a calm family gathering is a chore, let alone at a big drunken party. Vickie took charge and used her leadership skills to make sure everyone was where they needed to be and behaving in a fashion that lended efficiency and order to the event, we would have been lost without her! We are a wild bunch and Vickie did not let that intimidate her, she was able to accomplish a great party that all of our guests are still raving about.
When I look back on my wedding it was a day that far exceeded any dreams and expectations. Throughout the day I was calm and happy, because Vickie was in charge, there was not a worry or doubt in my mind leading up to the ceremony and party. Seeing the reception site for the first time and walking down the aisle was a dream, it was like a fairy tale. The overwhelming reason why I was able to have the time of my life was because I knew that I had a professional taking care of all the details and putting out the fires, there was nothing for me to do except revel in the joy and love that I was surrounded by on that day.
Vickie Berry is one of those people who have found their calling in life and she excels in every element of event coordination. Without a doubt hiring her as a coordinator was the best decision I made in regards to the wedding. I consider myself highly skilled in the arena of event planning and I am not one that easily relinquishes control, but I knew for this wedding I would need someone there to get everything done and it needed to be someone I could rely on, Vickie Berry was that person and her performance far exceeded my expectations. To this day she is still following up with me on loose ends and providing assistance where it is clearly above and beyond her scope of work, her commitment to perfection is simply unbelievable. I loved working with Vicky and My Lovely Events! I planned my own wedding and rented some gorgeous vintage items from her. Having her on my team was a huge asset! I’ve been wanting to leave a review for this lovely buisness. I rarely leave reviews but I had to let people know how amazing and awesome Vicky Berry is. Before hiring her I did my research by interviewing 4 other wedding coordinators. I fell in love with Vicky, she is super knowledgeable regarding weddings, and her personality rocks. Not only does she organizes the weeding of your dreams but she also offers vintage rentals, which ate beautiful and and rare to find through other rental companies. Vicky is just an amazing coordinator that will plan ANY type of theme wedding you can imagine. She also has si many awesome vendors contacts around Ventura county which help put my wedding together.
