My son has had several injuries playing football and basketball. Dr. Jensen has really been instrumental in helping him heal quickly. Walk in is very convenient and office hours are excellent.

Great chiropractor — as incredibly busy as he is he remembers all of his patients and … just good people. Looking forward to my next visit.

I highly recommend Dr. Jensen. With my insurance my co-​pay is $ 15 for a visit, which includes an adjustment, a massage in a specialty chair, a heating treatment and a stim machine treatment at the end. Lots of extra feel so good body massaging treatments. What more could you want? That’s lots of bonus value for your money! Call ahead to inquire about the wait time. He takes walk-​ups & appointments so it can get really busy! Regardless, he will never turn you away.

I was not a believer in chiropractic. My family doctor told me I had to go after two serious back spasm events after air travel.
Doctor Jensen saved me from getting surgery and I am getting closer to returning to normal activities again.
Excellent experienced staff and will always expedite treatment if you ask.

Dr. Jensen really relieved my neck pain I was having. He gave me good advice on posture, and other methods of staying healthy. He has high tech equipment in in office, which is used every visit. I would highly recommend him to others.

I first came into see Dr. Jensen, because of a pinched nerve on the left side of my leg, and constant ache in my lower back. I had increased my workouts to twice a day and was in the process of moving– and during this time I hurt myself.
Over the course of 4 years, I had seen 5 other chiropractors who were temps that came from an agency that worked for my previous boss while he was on vacation. So by the time, I came to Dr. Jensen’s office I knew what type of chiropractic therapy that I was looking for.
Dr. Jensen continues to use advanced technology as part of his treatments. He knows and understands that chiropractor care is more than simply twisting and manipulating the body to regain proper alignment of the spine.
Finding a new chiropractor is not always easy, this is why I share my personal experiences with you, each chiropractor was very different and their approach. (As there over 100 techniques throughout the world.)
I know people are busy with all the other things in their lives and when they are in pain they don’t want to spend a lot of time searching for a chiropractor.
Here are some of the experiences that I had:
1) One doctor who was in retirement age seemed hesitant to adjust me, so really he didn’t do much except run his hand over my spine. When I walked out I thought «That’s it?»
2) Another doctor, she did not have the physical strength to do the adjustment so she relied heavily on a device called the Activator, which reminded me of a staple gun; for me personally I like a physical adjustment, where the doctor adjusts my neck and spine.
3) Another doctor I saw had his office set up like an assembly line had the adjustment done within1−2 minutes and the chiropractor tables were out in the open where other patients could watch the adjustment.
Dr. Jensen when he first meets you, he takes x-​rays so he can see what exactly is going on with your spine. My x-​rays showed that I was in between spinal degeneration phases 2 and the beginnings of phase 3. There is nerve damage and with treatments, reversal is possible.
After my first visit I immediately started feeling relief. Dr. Jensen truly cares about his patients and is always up-​beat and enthusiastic when you see him. It beams through him that he really loves what he does
As I was leaving, Katie, the chiropractic assistant gave me a folder with the stages of Spinal Degeneration Phase, the results of my exam, spinal exercises, the hours of the office and lots of helpful information that I can refer to at a moment’s instance.
There are no appointments necessary when to you come to this office. Scheduling is very convenient and they are always prompt at getting me in. The clinic has a great vibe and all of the staff has been awesome!
The office is beautiful, relaxing, soothing and nurturing (to name just a few!) and you will always be welcomed with a huge smile! The waiting room is spacious, clean, lots of magazines to read, a flat screen TV. You sign your name at the front desk and chiro assistant will take you back to the massage/​therapy room.
When you walk into the massage/​therapy room, you have a choice of either a table or a chair– for about 15 – 20 minutes you allow your muscles to relax before you adjustment. There are other people in the room, the most 5 to 6 at a time; most always everyone who is in the room is respectful and quiet.
Before you massage ends, the chiro assistant will let you know which room you are to go for your adjustment, once you are there within a few minutes she gives you a hot pack for your lower back. The heat wrap restores the blood flow to the sore areas and relaxes your muscles for faster healing.
After your adjustment, the chiro assistant takes you into another room for electrical stimulation therapy; this technique is often used in the sports industry. This machine is used to relieve inflamed muscles and nerves. It helps retrain the muscles and stimulates them to their regular function. This therapy works by stimulating the muscles with a mild electrical current. The electrodes are first placed at the appropriate points on your skin, the settings are low and until you are comfortable with the machine. After being on this for 5 – 10 minutes, the pleasant sensation block’s the brain’s ability to sense pain. I work in the San Fernando area, but live in Camarillo. I am not able to see him that often, maybe once a month, I have noticed my stress level has lowered drastically, as well as have felt so much healthier and full of vitality.
For most people, it’s important to feel comfortable with the chiropractor and the office staff. Feeling comfortable can depend on various personal preferences; including details as to how long a patient waits to see the doctor, where the office located, office hours, etc.
I completely, 100% recommend Jensen Walk in Chiropractic to anyone!

Dr. Jensen is awesome!!! Staff is friendly & are always uplifting. great mood is set in this office. would highly recommend this office to relatives & friends! How can you not love getting a gentle massage on a table. Then being heated with a heating pads to relax your muscles. Adjusted and then getting IF therapy done on you?! Sounds like heaven to me :)

No you were the doctor I am referring to and the doctor I employed, and you are the doctor who grabbed my face. I Unilocaled your relative my mistake, HOWEVER I deleted his statement which was copied and pasted into your Unilocal page, where it belonged.
It’s been hinted to me that trying to adjust or grab my face is not something a chiropractor in Califronia is licensed to do.
It’s obvious you don’t have the specialized training required for cranial adjustments.
There is no mistaken as to which Jensen from which I received treatment; on Los Posas Rd. near the PD station. I looked for a review for Steve Jensen and could only find one, and it wasn’t mine.
There is no mistaken identity. I wrote no Unilocal review for Steve Jensen, that I could find. It’s no wonder you can’t remember me. You were in and out of the room so fast it’s clearly the reason you can’t recognize my current picture. And BTW you are not a «gentle» practitioner.

I know you are near the police station. I was your patient for several months. I do not have any questions for you.
I am responding again on Unilocal because this is your second email claiming I have mistaken you for someone else; whether or not they have the same name.
I am very lucid, and know where I received treatment. You are the doctor I saw and you are the doctor who grabbed my face and squeezed my jaw muscles causing pain requiring Lidocaine injections for relief. I have not mistaken your practice for any other practice.

The best doctor ever! He treats you as if you were his own family. You can tell he knows what he’s doing and that he enjoys his job. If you want to be treated by the best of the best, Dr. J is your man!

I have seen a couple chiropractors and was treated for low back pain but when I found Dr Jensen he took a full X-​ray of my spine and found that most of my problems were derived from my cervical spine, behind my neck. Dr Jensen is very thorough not only does he treat the symptoms but he treats the root problems.
In addition the office hours are great for those who work because he is open early and late!

Tried other chiropractors… Only Dr. Jensen can fix my twister back and crooked neck.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jensen for over three decades. My parents were his patients and now my wife and children are patients. Dr. Jensen keeps us all in line.

Very friendly and professional support staff and receptionists.
On your first visit, Dr. Jensen is extremely good at marketing himself and convincing you that he will cure you. The routine on a typical visit involves a machine thumping your back for ten minutes followed by a hot towel on your back for five to ten minutes. Then Dr. Jensen «cracks’ your back and neck in a generic fashion without consideration for your specific ailments for about five minutes. Your visit wraps up with electric shocks in your back.
I canceled further appointments after the third visit when Dr. Jensen could not answer how he would address my specific ailments based his diagnosis of my x-​ray.
I found a far superior chiropractor who eased my pain after just two visits. I am back to being fully functional with minimal discomfort.

Dr. Jensen has been seeing me since 1981. He has helped me greatly with my back pain and I trust completely with all of my back problems. I believe, I would be using a walker by now if he was not treating me. I would recommend him to anybody looking for a chiropractor. He is a great person. I have had many injuries. I am not a graceful person. Stan is the best Chiropractor in Ventura County for me. Give him a try, he will help you get better!

I agree with John. Dr Jensen is great and pays attention to your needs. And the staff, Teresa and Kate especially, are very friendly.

I was a client of Dr. Jensens for a couple years when I was younger. I’ve had major back problems and needed to see a chiropractor throughout my life. I just went to the one my dad went to and never thought anything about it. Every time I would walk out of that place my back hurt even more then when I 1^st came in. I asked if this was normal, me being a 13 year old and not knowing any better. Dr. Jensen replied saying yes it was very normal and sounded very sure of himself. It got to the point where the pain in my back after being adjusted by him was much greater then when I 1^st had pain so I stopped going. After going to massage school and working for a chiropractor for several years, he did more bad then good for my back. Hurting after going to a chiropractor is NEVER. A good thing.

Dr. Jensen has been our Chiropractor for 8+ years. We would go to no one else.
I would like to make note of Amanda M’s 2-​star review. First, I too get annoyed at making appointments with doctors and having to wait well past «my» time. One of the best features of Dr. Jensen’s walk-​in practice is that you don’t need an appointment. I have never waited more than 20 minutes to get in the massage chair (or table).
The massage room is intended to gently warm up your neck and shoulders before heat is applies AND it’s the John Wayne room, not Wayne Newton. Dr. Jensen has interesting collections throughout his office and rooms — a sign he has been there for a long time!
After the 5 minute «massage» you are assigned a room and special heating pads are provided to further warm up and relax the muscles and joints. I like my pads hot so I have not been bothered with them being too hot.
The actual adjustment is a fairly short process, followed by electric nerve stimulation to enhance blood flow and relax the muscles. I wish I had one of these at home!
Dr. Jensen is a native of Camarillo and is passionate about his work and the health of his patients. While I can sympathize with Amanda M’s experience, it seems her biggest complaint is not being treated the same day as her xrays. In my opinion, Dr. Jensen was being cautious and professional to ensure she did not have anything else going on that could be complicated or worsened with chiropractic manipulation.
The staff has always been friendly, professional and helpful — even when our insurance company delayed payment.
As for the smoking comment, Dr. Jensen does have an occasional cigar — after work, never before, and he has never smelled of smoke to me or my wife.
As for is whistling — get used to it (he sings too). I see it as a sign of a happy person.

I have been to Dr. Jensen’s office twice on the last two days. His office staff can be unfriendly and very rushed over the phone. In fact, I was very dissuaded by his office staff and considered seeing someone else.
Anyways– at my first appointment, after filling out paperwork, he kept me waiting for 20 minutes in his office while he tended to other patients. There other patients did *not* have appointments, as I saw them walk in while I was filling out paperwork in the front waiting room. After waiting for 20 minutes, he poked and proded me then did an X-​ray. Since it was nearly 6pm at this time (my app was at 5:15), he told me to come back another day for the X-​ray results. I believe he could have processed the Xray right then, however it was almost closing time and I believe he wanted me out of there.
I left… surprised, and rather confused. I had planned to have an adjustment done on this day, as was indicated when I made the appt. So I came back – bright and early the next day (a Saturday morning, mind you) for the results.
After reviewing my back X-​ray, he gave me 2 more x-​rays of my neck (where I am experiencing some pain). Then– I began the treatment, which appears to be the usual routine for his clients. First you go into a «Wayne Newton» or some sort room, where there are multiple chairs and beds. I was told to lie down in one bed, and remained there for about 5 minutes while 2 round balls sort of massaged my spine. It was an odd sensation but became relaxing.
The next step is to enter an examination room, where you are given a very hot neck pad. It became far too hot for me, so I took it off… I waited in this room for about 10 – 15 minutes. The doctor then came in, spent about 5 minutes on adjustments. Lastly, I was sent off to have electrodes sent onto my shoulder blades via 4 sticky pads, hooked up to a machine.
Thus is his normal routine. What I am curious about is– Why did other patients, who did not have appointments, get seen before me!!! This happened both on Friday evening *and* Saturday morning. I became irate while waiting in all the various rooms… waiting in his office at the first appt (for 20 minutes), waiting in the examination/​adjustment room (10 – 15 minutes). I am tired of waiting for doctors. Quite frankly, I arrive early or on time for my appt. My time is valuable too and I wish doctors could know this.
Also– Dr. Jensen whistles a lot. It pissed me off. Bring reading materials too, for all the waiting you’ll have to do.
EDIT: Moved down to TWO stars. I feel like part of an assembly line while here… Everyone is shuffled into rooms, then shuffled into another room. Even with a weekly appointment, sometimes I end up staying here for one hour. Dr. Jensen is only doing actual ‘work’ on you for less than 5 minutes. Also– he smokes, so his hands are stinky and you can smell them while he adjusts your neck.
