I first visited Dustin Siena not long after I moved to the West Coast well over ten years ago…
I visited weekly for acupuncture treatment for overall well being, bad seasonal allergies and some anxiety/​stomach issues. On top of being brilliant at acupuncture, he’s a bit of a guru when it comes to nutrition, Chinese herbal medicine and brings a huge heart and open mind to treating every patient.
At the start of each visit, we discussed what I was hoping to tackle that week and each treatment was tailored to my needs — whether physical or mental.
His wisdom of the body and alternative medicine is evident thru his passion for what he does and he even helped me tailor dietary habits to keep me fit that I still use in my daily life… And always thinks outside the box to share health tips etc — Literally things I’ve only recently heard publicly in health news and on TV that he had told me about a decade ago. A biggie for me was learning from him what to eat/​drink and what to avoid when my allergies were out of control… In Southern California, the Santa Ana winds are not my friend ;)
I’ve been to a couple other acupuncturists while traveling and even tried another in LA just for comparison sake, but none bring to the table what Dustin does — some were very clinical and lacked good communication and one was great at acupuncture in a SUPER trendy LA space that looked great — but he lacked knowledge of nutrition/​Chinese herbs etc beyond the needles.
Obviously from this review I can’t recommend him enough — tho many places may offer traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Dustin Siena not only offers his experience and knowledge, but is someone who will communicate everything to you — work with you — and most importantly listen to you to plan the best treatment to help with whatever you need. If you’re considering it, seriously book an appt — you won’t be disappointed!

Dr, Siena wants to get to the root cause of the problem. I called Dr Siena about acupuncture and lyme if it would help, he answered me honestly and said he would do some research on lyme and talk to his colleagues back east. He promptly got back to me and said I need to treat the inflammation first and set me up with a plan to get the inflammation under control. Mean while he started to read Dr. Horowitz book on lyme. Dr, Siena became more educated on the subject of lyme then my own lyme doctor in under a week, it really shows how sad our lyme doctors in ventura county really are. Dr Siena is on his way to become a great lyme doctor and feel that I am under great hands and confident I am on step one of recovery, get the inflammation under control like he recommends then attack the infection and finally fix my immune system. I have all the faith and trust in Dr, Siena, he is brilliant and really goes out of his way to help and make you feel better. I will report back soon and add more to this review.
I recommend Dr. Siena as an alternative to your lyme doctor.

Beware donot purchase the groupon. I bought the groupon set the appointment and he called to reschedule the day before the appointment. I’m easy going so I said that was fine.
I happen to get an infection in my teeth and was scheduled for teeth work to be done and called him but the groupon requires 48hrs and I lost my full amount of the groupon and trust me the groupon is not cheap.
I’m just saying it goes both ways I could have said no the first time he asked to reschedule. Although tempting just don’t by the groupon.

I went to Dr. Siena for my first experience with acupuncture, and it was AMAZING. He is very knowledgeable about nutrition and offers excellent dietary advice. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Ventura area looking for some balance and relaxation in their lives. Immediately after I felt such a huge difference in my neck and even the day after I still felt great. I will absolutely be scheduling another appointment with Dr. Siena in the near future.

Dustin Siena is an amazing healer. His attention to every detail and passion for what he does is just what you want from someone taking care of your body. I love that throughout our treatment plan he is always available to help answer my questions and make sure I’m well taken care of. His treatment and guidance in getting me to the healthy place I’ve been striving for is invaluable and priceless. I’d been having some health issues that he helped me resolve. I don’t know what I would have done without him. He continues to be a source of healing and inspiration in my life and I am forever grateful. I also love that he practices what he preaches. If you should happen to have the opportunity to meet and work with this fine Doctor, take it! It’s a blessing.

I went to see Dr. Siena to help with some pain I’d been having since my motorcycle accident. The chiropractor helped, but it was only after having a few treatments with Dr Siena that I felt worlds better. I was happy to see the other positive reviews online and glad to add one of my own.

When traditional medicine started to fail me this year, I started looking into alternative treatments. I found Dr. Sienna through my insurance company and quickly found out through other Unilocal reviews how amazing he was.
During our first meeting I knew that he was exactly what I needed. Dr. Sienna is so caring and absolutely knowledgeable about acupuncture as well as Chinese herbs. He has brought me back to life when I felt like nothing could make me better. I feel so taken care of. I have never had a doctor follow up with me after seeing them, but that is something that he does after every visit. It has also been so comfortable knowing that he is only a phone call or an email away whenever I have questions or concerns.
I was completely new to this type of treatment, but thanks to Dr. Sienna, I will never go back to my old ways. I 100% believe in herbs and acupuncture over pharmaceuticals now. If you are looking for a new acupuncturist, this is your guy!

I first went to Dr. Siena when he had his office in Beverly Hills/​West Hollywood. I must admit I was skeptical being more a traditional medicine kind of guy, but I went and in one treatment, Dr. Siena turned this skeptic into a believer. I was suffering from carpal tunnel and his treatment was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. In one treatment mind you, I was typing pain free and that is an important thing when you make your living as a writer. He is thoughtful and is very good at answering every question you might have. I am now and forever a patient. Whenever I have some carpal or back issue, Dr. Siena quickly gets me back in the game. Thank you Dr. Siena! I couldn’t recommend Dr. Siena enough!

After being diagnosed via MRI with a lower lumbar disc protrusion and consequent nerve impingement I was directed by my Orthopedic MD to do Physical Therapy and have an epidural procedure. I did both with very limited results. The pain continued to persist and not wanting to go the route of prescription pain medications, I decided to give acupuncture a try. My research lead me to Dustin and I have seen him 7 – 8 times now. Results are cumulative with acupuncture and I am now have having more good days than bad days with Dustin’s care. He is a rarity in the medical profession in that he takes time with you and listens to your concerns and answers your questions. His technique is simple and straight forward with a deep rooted commitment to the centuries old art of Chinese medicine. Dustin knows his craft well.

Dustin is a compassionate healer with 15 years of experience in the healing arts. His knowledge of Chinese Herbs are second to none. His Acupuncture technique is very gentle. I definitely recommend him.

I found Dustin via a Groupon and had a wonderful first appointment. So I scheduled a second appointment. I was really excited because he seemed to understand my complicated health problems and was willing to work with me and my naturopath and doctors towards healing. Well the second appointment as not as fabulous and he called me later that day and refused to see me any longer because I was seeing a naturopath. A fact he had known from the beginning. Buyer beware if you aren’t willing to buy his products and just want acupuncture he isn’t that willing to help you out on a regular basis!!!

When I was a wild and crazy young lass, I had my tongue pierced. Yes, yes, it WAS the 90’s. I started to experience strange bronchial discomforts that warranted some serious medical attention. After going to the conventional doctor, there was no improvement in my condition which was starting to go beyond a month– hmmm panic button pushed.
Just by pure chance, I had an audience with Dr. Dustin and he examined my pulse points (three fingers), he said there was a serious blockage with my lung. He asked what I’ve been doing. After trying to explain my social habits and other oddities that might have caused this medical problem, he asked me to stick my tongue out. Sure enough– it was the tongue piercing– it was where my lung chi was located!
OK, I was already over my tongue piercing at that point so I agreed to take it off. He prescribed herbs that I can buy at the Chinatown shops and I did exactly as he recommended. Sure enough, my lungs cleared and I was back to normal within 2 weeks.
Dr. Dustin is extremely knowledgeable, gentle, innovative, thorough and just remarkable. I can’t thank him enough for alleviating my lung condition. I trust him and find his care to be warm and dedicated.

Dustin is fantastic! I’ve had multiple issues from Allergies, Asthma, Joint Pain & trouble sleeping, just to name a few. Several doctors have medicated me, recommended surgery or asked me to follow-​up with a specialist. I finally decided to try acupuncture, although not a believer at first. I am so glad I did. Dustin explained exactly what he was going to do & how it would help. I’m still amazed how effective his treatments are. My elbow, shoulder & back pain are a distant memory. A friend of mine suggested Dr. Siena last month after a car crash totalled my car and twisted up my back. I thought I was okay until a week later I had felt major lower back pain. I had acupuncture 20 years ago and it ended up as sour as sour gets. The needle locked me up and I panicked! It was my 10^th time and I had loved everytime before. I promised myself to NEVER get acupuncture again! Well, NEVER SAY NEVER! Thank God!
I have been to Dr. Siena for almost a month and never want to leave! He has given me TOTAL satisfaction from herbs to diet to helping me sleep at night! I have not had a REAL Dr. in over 10 years and have truly given up on them… but NOT this Dr.
BTW, He has also helped me to lose 15 pounds NATURALLY and helped me out with my severe gout! Cheers to Dr. Siena!

What can I say? This doctor is the real thing.
I was referred to Doctor Siena three years ago by a college friend. I was suffering from a persistent cough. Having been to my PCP – and through a battery of tests – we knew it wasn’t a potentially fatal condition, but there still was no explanation. My PCP just gave up and said I’d have to live with it. I decided to give eastern medicine a shot at solving my problem. That’s when I first met Dustin Siena.
I was really impressed with his knowledge. It wasn’t just a bunch of mumbo jumbo, there was a lot of science and thousands of years of knowledge to back up this Doctor’s brand of medicine. He asked me a bunch of questions and then examined my phlegm. After coming to his conclusions, he explained his thinking and compounded me up a custom herbal formula that kicked the cough right out of my chest within a week. Needless to say, I was sold.
I’ve visited Dr. Siena a few times since then in regard to various medical conditions, and I’m pretty confident that his acupuncture and herbal treatments have really made a difference in my personal wellness.
If you’ve never tried eastern medicine, you couldn’t pick a better Doc to take you through the journey. I refer people to Dr. Siena when western medicine has left them wanting more. If you’re in this boat, you’ve found the right doc.
One thing I will say is definitely call ahead to book an appointment because the practice can get busy sometimes, but I’ve never had to wait more than two days to get squeezed in. FYI. 5 Stars for sure.

Had a sharp lower back pain for many months after a car accident, but after seeing Dustin, my back hasn’t hurt in weeks. I’m literally off the pain pills and bed rest and finally went dancng last night. I highly recommend anyone who needs acupuncture to come here ASAP.
