Hopefully something tangible, some words, some tears, something to carry in our hearts assuaging grief, loss.
And so, those of us left behind, the survivors, gathered here yesterday to celebrate a life, to affirm ours and support the widow of a dear friend, who like Prince, left this earthly realm way too soon.
Conejo Mountain Funeral Home & Memorial Park assisted to create a service that was exactly right, what the deceased and his family wanted.
In a pre-​service email link it wasn’t clear if we were invited to just the service or if we could attend the «family» reception afterward. Not being family only mere friends we blatantly ignored the «family» mentioned in the link to crash a light bite gracious gathering and no one tossed us out.
It doesn’t have to be here, but if you want to be remembered by something more than your Unilocal page, a tad of advance planning seems right, right at any age. Not so much for you as you won’t be attending per se but for those who love you to gather, to honor, to remember, to find closure.

This is one of the best kept cemeteries I’ve ever been to ever. My maternal grandparents are both buried here as well as my boyfriend’s paternal grandparents and the staff does an amazing job taking care of the grounds.
A very picturesque memorial park and garden that only gives you good vibes when going to visit passed loved ones. Absolutely stunning and would highly recommend it for those looking to place their loved ones in a peaceful environment as a final resting place.

We just concluded services for our mother here. Aside fr om the active rock quarry adjoining the property, the grounds are beautiful and serene, with mild weather and great views. The building facilities we used for the reception were very nice and the staff was very accommodating, bringing plenty of extra chairs for our group which overflowed onto the patio.
Most importantly, Nick Rios, our funeral coordinator was exceptional, with plenty of patience as we repeatedly made revisions to our brochures and photo uploads.
Ideally, it would be nice if costs were a bit lower, however, I believe it is pretty consistent with other funeral homes.

My mother passed away unexpectedly and I decided to have both service and burial here. The professionalism and expertise of both Danny and Kevin was a positive experience during this difficult time. When we had to pick out my mother’s resting place, Kevin drove us around and was very uplifting in our time of mourning.
The grounds are very beautiful and serene. The view of the mountains is awesome. We found the perfect spot for my mother… I’m sure she would have approved.

This place is the best funeral home and memorial park around Ventura area. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, especially Ellie Mosher. If you need anything or have any questions, you should ask for her. My family buried my dad there since 2012 and she is the one that we contact all the time when we have questions or concerns. I have known her since 2012 and mean to write good reviews for her but had not had a chance until today.

Pack a blanket book journal or snack, the weather here is almost pleasent to spend with your loved one (s).

The grounds crew is awesome! They are very helpful & always available. The grounds are always very well maintained. The setting is really peaceful & relaxing. The location is nestled in the mountain and away from all the hustle & bustle of the city. You can sometimes see deer, rabbits & snakes because they come out of the mountain (looking for food?) This cemetery is non denominational & offers celebratory days like «Dia de los Muertos», candle light service & a bunch of other ceremony but I’m sure their website lists all they offer.

Very good staff and nice well maintained facility. They did an excellent job with my father to include the mortuary and funeral
services.

Nice facility, friendly staff, wouldn’t mind ending up here. They have some ridiculous charges though, like the golf cart used to transport the elderly from the chapel to the burial site costs $ 200!!! And it’s like only about 300 yards? WTH?!
