Adolfo Camarillo High School

Adolfo Camarillo High School is pretty good! It’s a California Distinguished School so they take education very seriously. Most of the teachers love teaching and you can see it in their eyes.
My favorite class that I’ve ever taken was Physiology. I took it in junior year — I’m now a senior — and I went in the class every day wondering what we were going to do next. The teacher really shows his interest in the subject; therefore, he makes the class fun and entertaining.
Anyways, I would change the amount of ACs in the classes. The only classes that have them are the portables, and unfortunately, I don’t have any classes in the portables. It makes it very hot in the classrooms. Also, there’s a major ant problem so beware of the ants!

They should rename this pile to E.J. Harrison and Son’s High School because this school is straight up garbage.

I love ACHS, second generation to go there. I’m not as old as Wes (just kidding hehe) it has been 8 years since I’ve been to ACHS… but it feels like yesterday! The school seemed to be falling apart when I was going there, hopefully they have made the much needed improvments to keep the school from falling a part.
There were many teachers that truly inspired me to do better and work hard… overall it was good times. I think my favorite times were the football games, those were so much fun.

Beautiful campus. Was just there for the 2008 graduation and it was pretty short and sweet for the number of kids called up. My only complaint was seating. They have bleachers on both sides of the football field, but they had the stage facing the home side of the bleachers and the visitors side wasn’t even in use. they should of had the stage under one of the goalposts so both sides could have seen what what going on. Instead, I sat on a bunch of ice plant on a hillside with ants crawling up my pant legs.

I remember doing Saturday work detail (aka Saturday detention) for a stupid prank I pulled while we were in the computer lab one day.
I remember carrying around a sack of flour for two weeks for child development.
I remember the food fights that happened in the cafeteria therefore closing it for a week like we were prisoners.
I remember home economics, making good food almost daily.
Since I’ve graduated in ’96 (yes, I’m old), I’ve seen old high school mates around town and it’s just a reminder of simpler days.
