started as a national chain in 1999 after 2 years of that the name was changed because we were unhappy with the way the national chain wanted us to do business, we wanted to perform repairs and services honestly and to the best of our knolege, we wanted to protect ourselfs and our customer with a warranty that not only was cover here but national, we are part of the Napa Autocare Program that offers peace of mind warranty for 2 years on parts and labor nation wide, in 2010 – 2011 we became BAR acredited business and hall of fame award, we are a ASE certified, we offer local free shuttle and free wifi service, we are here to serve you.

I have been managing the company since 1999 and my goal has always been to help people the best way I can, we try to be competitive with our prices and try to do the job right the first time, I know that we are far from perfect but we do our best to try to acomplish the job, we try to take care of any problems in a timely manner and to install quality parts to extend the life of the vehicle.

I hate to share secrets, but Juan has been amazing the past few years that I have been taking my cars to him. He is always available to work on my cars the following day, sometimes same day. The only complaint I would have to be honest about is sometimes I drop my car off and he doesn’t call me back when it is done, unless he is constantly finishing the work right when he is closing, which is possible I guess. I now just call after a few hours to follow up on the work. Great mechanic and he has the most important character trait, honesty. When he doesn’t know something, he won’t lie to you, he will tell you that he isn’t sure and sometimes volunteers to research up on it.

for the 16 years i lived in camarillo, i went to see juan at adolfo auto care. you will never find a more honest, fair, reasonable, great team anywhere else. i have been living in santa monica for almost 3 years now, but i still take my car up to see juan and everyone else who works there. if your car doesn’t need something done… they never try to convince you otherwise. they only do what work is needed. they are professional and do a great job.
i wouldn’t trust anyone else but adolfo auto care!

I wasn’t even there for service on my own car but checking out another car that had been serviced there. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and very kind and accommodating and give me all the information I could need in a direct manner. couldn’t ask for more! I got a quote for some services that they had the ability to provide versus cost of services that I have been quoted from other places and I have to say that Adolfo is definitely lower than everywhere else in the area.

First time here and so far so good. I just needed a fluid change. I walked in for my appointment and was quickly taken care of. In and out in an hour. They let me know my brakes are soon in need of replacing, but didn’t try to sell me anything else. The waiting area is clean and the man that worked with me was very friendly. Thanks for a prompt, professional experience!!!
Most important to me, their invoice is clearly broken down. No random unexplained charges, just straight forward, clear labor and parts listed.

First I took my SUV to Honda in Oxnard for it’s 50k mile check-​up. On their suggested «TO DO» list was to replace four «rubber boots» that keep the dirt out of suspension parts. I thought okay, how much could a piece of rubber cost, a few dollars? Well, their «estimate» was over $ 1,400.00!
I read the Unilocal Reviews, thank gawd for small favors, and took the car to Juan at Adolfo Auto, who btw is also closer. He priced the whole job, including new brakes and bleeding the lines for about $ 875. (funny that a car «bleeds») :-) And he did this with a smile and a convivial manner — and kept his appointment time, and got me home in the promised time. — I’ve not had a problem since.
Because of this, I took the same car in to fix the electric motor for the driver window. Same competitive price, same friendly guy, no problems — and no upsell, a straight shooter.
This is what one needs in a world where the Dealers are sketchy operators. Thanks Juan. You’re the man!

These people were very unhelpful. Made us feel like our business was not welcome there. Ask for the Boss, and Juan said they are an independent shop. Even gave them full history on a 2014 Mercedes Benz and he was so unprofessional. If you want to feel like they appreciate your hard earned money… do NOT go here.

I was so glad to find Adolfo auto care! They were reasonable, and prompt got my car back same day after a very complicated repair. They were very honest didn’t overcharge me or try to find extra repairs to charge me for. Very friendly I would recommend them to any of my family and friends!

You can’t go wrong taking your vehicle for repair at Adolfo Auto. I took my sons 2001 Honda Accord to Juan because the engine light was on. I was a first time customer. Juan ran a diagnostic on it and informed me that it was the catalytic converter. I told him that the Catalytic Converter had been replaced just a 18 months ago and maybe it might be something else. He told me he was pretty confident that it was the Catalytic Converter. He informed me that there is usually a warranty and that I should take it back to the shop that installed it originally. I did just that and come to find out that the Catalytic Converter was defective. All I can say, is Juan is as honest as they come and he has earned a new customer. I highly recommend this shop. It’s nice to know I have a mechanic I can trust. Thanks Juan.

Since 2001 I’ve been taking my autos to Adolfo Auto Care for service and repairs. I have always been very pleased with the excellent work they have done for me. It is always a pleasure to recommend Adolfo Auto Care to anyone who is looking for an honest and dependable auto repair facility. Juan, the Manager is always ready to assist and advise you as to the repair and cost. It’s always so reasonable. Definitely a 5 STAR rating in my book!

I don’t think I could recommend a better place to have work done on your vehicle than here at Adolfo Auto.
I am not a car guy myself, I’m not even sure I could point out the engine, but I have had two different experiences here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I have been looking for a used car to purchase and have had Juan and the guys do two different pre-​purchase inspections. And the first time after thoroughly inspecting the vehicle, he pulled me aside and said that it wouldn’t be wise for me to purchase the car! Not sure if I know anyone else who would be watching out for me, especially when they could be making money off of my decision!
In terms of customer service, Juan and his team really make you feel comfortable and secure about any work that would need to be done to your car.

Juan is awesome, my wife and I found Adolfo when we moved here four years ago and they have always been honest and fair. There have been times when I have brought my car in for routine maintenance and Juan has turned me away because it wasn’t needed yet. There have also been times when I thought major work needed to be done and Juan and his guys were able to fix the problem without a major part needing to be ordered.

Excellent service! My son has used Adolfo for years, and has always been pleased with the experience. Based on his recommendation, I have had my Lexus serviced twice by Adolfo, and I have to agree with my son … they are honest and skilled. Unlike some other local shops, they don’t try to sell you things that you don’t need.

I started going to Adolfo Auto after a few years of questionable service from Hays Automotive where I was a loyal customer for over 12 years. I found that Juan and the guys at Adolfo are very knowledgeable and I would even say they are honest when dealing with automotive issues. With the economy eating up all my savings its nice to know that I can go to a repair shop a few minutes from my home that I can trust and not have to depend on the shady service at Hays.

I have saved thousands by going to Juan — I trust him completely to fix my car in the most economical way possible. My BMW is 9 years old with 100,000+ miles on it, so I’m a pretty regular customer — for everything from oil changes to major repairs, I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. He is so nice, and seems to always be there, 6 days a week.

I’ve always had good luck with mechanics, knock on wood. Maybe because I only go places that have been personally recommended. I’ve been bringing my Toyota RAV here for a year and a half and consistently feel that they value my loyalty and want to keep me happy.
Juan is always cheerful and ready to help. He takes the time to explain the work that will be done and how much it will cost before it is done. They sell a discount card that saves our family four times its cost every year and Juan makes a great effort to save me money every time I go in.
They do good work and are always done quickly, faster than they estimate. The waiting area is welcoming for a mechanic. Simple chairs, decent magazines and clean bathroom.
