Business Owner
Ronnie Jenkins is arguably the best athlete to ever come out of Ventura County, Ca. In 1995, while playing for Hueneme High School, he set a national record for most yards rushing in a single game. He carried the ball 30 times for 619 yards. Jenkins was heavily recruited by many schools across the country, and eventually chose BYU to showcase his talents. After leading the Cougars in kickoff returns and scoring a team-high 14 touchdowns he was named WAC Freshman of the year. Jenkins also lead his team to a 14 – 1 season, which was the first time a division 1-A team had ever done so. Jenkins entered the NFL in 2000 as a rookie free agent and joined the San Diego Charger, and instantly became the teams top kickoff returner. In his rookie season he set franchise records for most kickoff returns and most kickoff return yards. In 2001 Jenkins was even better, breaking the records he had previously set in his rookie season and was named Special Teams Player of the Month for October 2001.
