I really enjoy this J & J! I usually get the catfish dinner with fries and mild sauce and it’s ALWAYSFRESH!!! The employees are nice too!

This is my favorite j& j. The fish is excellent. I also prefer to call my order in ahead for faster service. I am a frequent visitor to this location. I also enjoy the large selection of juices and desserts. If you are in the area you should definitely give them a try. My favorite is the wing and catfish combo with only steak pieces add mild sauce. …mmm. mmm… i decided to give them a review while my food cools off. 5stars

Now that I have relinquished my Northsider title I figured I might as well check out a JJ Fish. There’s a plethora of them and they must be pretty good if they have so many right? So yeah, I wasn’t impressed, but I did like the food. Got the wing and perch combo and it tasted fine. I was hoping it’d be a little more similar to Lawrence Fisheries, but I know where I can go(but shouldn’t if I want to eat healthy) if I don’t want to travel to Lawrence and want some fried fish. Strangely, everyone else ordered just chicken when I was there late at night.

One good thing about living in Blue Island, is that I have several options for fried seafood within a few minutes of me. Lenten Fridays are a heck of a lot easier with so many options. Having said that, J&J is a good place to grab some fried seafood and chicken. This location is located right off the 127th street exit of I-57, not the best and not the worst J&J, but a bit more shady than the Western and 110th st. location. I ordered a nice combo plate that consisted of catfish, shrimp and french fries. the catfish was good, the shrimp was better, the fries were also good. They were pretty generous on the portions, so definitely a good value for your buck. I will definitely be back to J&J for some more shrimp!
