The Ann Taylor Factory Store is the ideal spot to stock up on conservative professional wear. Upon my most recent trip to the shop on Black Friday, all the merchandise boasted 50% off discounts in addition to the reduced outlet prices. I scored a crimson sweater that hits at the hip, a classic gray cap sleeve tee with tasteful sheer interest added to the neckline and a delightful fuchsia acrylic blend sleeveless number for $ 2.50. Yes, the decimal is correctly placed: $ 2.50.
I’ve been known to greedily grab solid tops with fabric blends that will hold their shape and color from the clearance rack in back.
My only complaint is that none of the cute, corporate-​appropriate dresses fit me right: clumps of cloth hang off my back, causing my entire backside to look bumpy and strange.
The Ann Taylor Factory Store is one of the few desirable shopping destinations in my hometown.

I am so glad there is an Ann Taylor at the outlet in Calhoun! It’s really difficult to find professional clothing that doesn’t look frumpy on a small girl like me, especially in this area. I wish there were more options in the petite section, but I can usually find some items that fit in the regular merchandise as well. The past few times I’ve been in this store, the workers have been really nice. (There’s nothing worse than going into a retail store and having the employees be snooty.) This will definitely be one of the places I’ll rely on as I build a more professional wardrobe.
