Solid four stars. Great service(even spoke English) beans and chips to start. Got the tostada camerone and fish tacos, delicious! My friends got the beef chimichanga and more fish tacos! We all loved the food, and not just because we waited at the border crossing for a long time! I will be back when driving through Calexico! They need more beer selections! And we’re out of margaritas! Whaaaa! :-)

The pancakes are bigger than the plate, my favorite is the sloppy biscuit. Cash only so go prepared.

The papa poblana con camaron(potato poblana w shrimp) is excellent. Unfortunately, that cannot save this place from how horrible the shrimp and fish ceviche is. The fish and shrimp tacos have a good flavor but the tortillas were hard as rocks. Shrimp for cocktails isn’t properly cleaned for my taste and veggies in cocktails isn’t fresh. Service is good, chabelas are as well. This place always smells bad though like sewer.

People in Calexico(and the valley) always want to be treated like royalty and pay pennies for their food. Here’s my take on this place… Food: food was great! We were greeted with chips with beans and cheese! Can’t beat that! Plus is FREE. We ordered fish tacos and ceviche tostada. Everything was really good. I read a review here that said the fish tacos were greasy. No shit! They’re friend amigo! So yeah, they have grease, as you would expect. However, the flavor is not compromised. The ceviche was on point, they do add clam/tomato juice, if you don’t like that, you must know that’s how they make it. They have freshly brewed iced tea and freshly squeezed lemonade, not the disgusting machine kind. Agua Chiles are also really good. They’re very spicy as you would expect. Service: Service was on point. I do see how they would be a little slower when they’re busy. However, if you don’t regularly support small businesses in the valley, they won’t be able to afford more staff for when you and your 10 amigos decide to show up, once a year. You just have to understand this isn’t a chain restaurant. So, if you want great mexican sea food, go to this place. Did I mention this place is also very CHEAP??? Two people eat with less than 20 bucks!(Plus tip!). LIFEISTOOSHORTTOEATATCHAINRESTAURANTS! Please support local businesses

Food was great. They brought out chips with beans, cheese, and jalapeños with a side of salsa with our drinks. I had the ½ order of shrimp ceviche and a taco gobernador. My husband had the mexican combo and a carne Asada taco. Lots of food!!! Very delicious.

Ceviche and Taco Tuesday fish taco game is strong here. Also, the Arrecifes means«reef» in Spanish. Awesome people inside waiting to feed you– you should let them ;)

I have been here several times for lunch. I have not tried a lot of the different items on the menu. Although, I can attest to their ceviche(Camaron) and their coctel de Cameron. Both are very good!!! Many of the people that I have taken here have sampled the other menu offerings and they have been very, very happy with the quality and taste of their food selections. The restaurant only sells beer from what I have seen and ordered. I have never had bad service during my visits, but it does get busy. So, if you are looking for a quick in and out service you may not get it because of their popularity. However, they offer to-go service. You won’t go home hungry after eating here. The only reason not five stars is their beer selection and stock is not always consistent.

We never been here, I found them on google and we absolutely loved it! Staff is super nice and they had a great karaōke singer. My family was so happy to see they got great appetizers on the house. We all left very happy and satisfied!

This place is really yummy! I love when they bring you octopus instead of chips because it’s delicious! I definitely like their seafood way more than their meat, I think that’s their strong suite. It’s even convenient because you don’t have to cross the border to get great mariscos. This place has my thumbs up!

Food is pretty good, hope you know Spanish to read the menu. Good friendly service. Waitress was patient with my broken Spanish.

Went this past weekend, the food average, not bad. However the service was horrible. If you ask for extra plain tostadas for your cheviche they will charge you, we ordered a dozen raw oysters the price on the menu was $ 13 but when we recived the bill they were $ 17, when we mentioned it to what looked like the owner or manager, he said prices are subject to change without notice, and when we mentioned the bad service he said sorry, and went about his business. They will basicly charge you what ever they feel like charging. We also orded a Volcan and we asked for tortillas and we were charged for those as well. Do yourself a favor and go to Mexicali don’t waist your time here, you will leave angry.

Mmmm coctels. The campechana was good. The regular shrimp coctel was also good. Even the slighly salted boiled shrimp for the kids was good. Only down side is it was pretty expensive for lunch over $ 50. I wonder if I could go across the border Ti Mexicali and get the same thing for cheaper?

Like most people when I think dining in Calexico, I think seafood — pulled from the pristine waters of the New River. Seriously though, if you’re ever stuck in Calexico, don’t make the mistake of grabbing a crappy burger and fries at one of the 20 Jack In the Boxes in town. This place is outstanding. Terrific ceviche and seafood cocktails, which you can customize with one of 10 hot sauces table side. Light, flavorful and dare I say healthy. A perfect meal when it ‘s 117 F outside.

This is a great locals only choice! The portions are large and savory! The shrimp cocktail transports you to the playas! You’ll want to go shirtless thinking you’re at the beach! The pescado is nicely done and service is great! A definite must.

This place is so good! I haven’t had a dish there that I didn’t like. They give you calamari appetizers which are super good(and free!) and all their seafood is fresh. The owner is always there, they are super friendly and accommodating. My favorite place in the valley.
