Traveling from Hilton Head to Cleveland. Screaming kid demanding pizza. The ONLY pizza place near where we were on I-​77 was Wally’s. As a pizza snob I was highly skeptical of a pizza place in a small town. I was even more skeptical when I pulled up to the place and had to walk through a muddy parking lot to get our pizza to go.
But, darn it, that was some pretty good pizza. It isn’t gourmet, it isn’t fancy, it isn’t Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn, it isn’t Pequod’s in Chicago. Don’t come expecting either.
It just tastes good, really good.
So much so that on our next trip to Hilton Head we will actually PLAN to stop in rural Ohio for Wally’s.

The best overall pizza shop in town, period. The food is great, the prices are right, especially if you ask for their specials. They deliver in town.
