This family run classy convenience store decided to pick itself up by its boot straps and ad an awesome option to a small tight knit community. Music, awesome beverages of all types, great food and super service!

My wife and I went to The Whammy Bar last Saturday. We were on a mini vacation in Vermont. We went to Whammy primarily to hear and dance to The Usual Suspects Blues Band. There is live music at Whammy on some evenings. Not being from the area, the place was hard to find and kind of out in nowhere land. It is a side room of the Maple Country Store. We had dinner there. My wife had a hamburger which she liked and rosemary french fries which were really very good(we shared them). I had roast beef/swiss cheese. horseradish sauce & more crostinis. They were really excellent! It is a small bar(we danced in a space about 5 feet by 6 feet) and has a small menu. Whammy is perhaps a bit on the funky side in décor. We met the owners. They were very nice and personable. Do not expect a fancy place. You can expect nice people, good food, good drinks, and good service. My wife and I greatly enjoyed ourselves.

This relatively new brew pub is the perfect complement to the Maple Corner Store and surrounding area. Its an intimate space with an emphasis on great local/regional music, including an always-entertaining«open mic» night. The Whammy Bar also has a nice menu to go with its six craft brew taps and full bar, including a great selection of chicken wings, crostinis, salads and more. Finally, the owners, Artie and Nancy Toulis, and their entire staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces.
