Let me preface by saying, I love White House Black Market. I have been a loyal customer for years, but this store does not make me want to shop in it. The manager is terrible. He is a very unfriendly, phony person. Why they have employees like this, I have no idea. I loved the woman they had there a couple of years ago. She was warm and very sweet. This guy makes me want to run out of the store the minute I walk in. I buy a lot of items online and sometimes they are a miss… I hate that there isn’t another WBHM closer to me to return it to and I have to deal with going into this store and dealing with the snooty attitude of the manager.

Wow I have to say i am really surprised by all of the poor reviews of this store. I have shopped at this store a lot in the last few years and have had nothing but good experiences. The sales people are always helpful when i walk in looking for something specific. No one has ever been rude to me(no matter what i am wearing). I love their rewards program and their sale deals. I have found so many dresses for so many special occasions here. And my most recent purchase, a necklace, has received so many compliments.

This store, in Calabasas, used to be a great store to shop in. Now, I’ve noticed the sales people can get very pushy and the manager, Trevor, is very nasty and does his best to make you uncomfortable. My last few times in year have not been pleasant and although there are still some nice people that work here, I’m afraid the bad outweighs the good. Go to the store in Topanga Mall, where they treat you like royalty and make you feel welcome.

If you guys decided to buy something from this store or any other store, Do Not pay in cash, the Reason is if you decide to return it they won’t pay you in cash they send you the check from the store in 30 days. They tell you they don’t carry cash in the store. I purchase couple of the shirt from them for my mom so none of them fit my mom so I had to return and it was about like hundred something but I had to go to Topanga mall and have to go to Calabasas to return one in here one in the other store because thy didn’t have the cash to return my money in full. So after five times to go to this storesI finally returned all the purchase that I got that’s very disappointing.

Wow so disappointing. I am a loyal customer, have been for years. I come to this particular location once a year right before I get my taxes done across the street. This time will be my last. Let me preface the remainder of my review by stating how I was dressed, because clearly this determines how you get treated! I have leggings, a flannel and flip flops on. I walked in, gentleman is on the phone doesn’t glance up. That’s ok. Two other people walk in they both get a big«welcome»! Still not a big deal until I walk right up to where he is standing now, arms crossed, off the phone and he just looks at me and says nothing! Actually I smiled at him and he just stared at me! Wow! That was the quickest, cheapest trip to whbm I’ve ever had! Boo! I guess I know better now, next time I’ll dress up!

Very limited amounts of merchandise and sizes, could have been because its after Christmas, but I tried a few items and wasn’t finding anything. Lots of «loud» clothing here

I found my dress for Thursday night! It’s exactly what I was looking for! The Manager, Isabelle and her Assistant, Larz where delightful, helpful and kind. I can’t tell you how enchanted I am with my selection, quite what I had in mind!

I’m going to preface this review by saying that, if I hadn’t been strolling around the Commons(yes, I do that occasionally) after lunch, I would not have known this store existed. Thank goodness for eating too many sweet potato fries and feeling the urge to walk it off! Now granted, after stuffing yourself full of goodness at lunch, perhaps trying clothes on isn’t the best idea I’ve had to date. However, I saw the«sale» sign and decided to take a look. Generally speaking, when I stumble upon a «sale» sign and check it out, I find things… but they’re never in my size. Lo and behold, I found something in my size! :) I was one of three customers in the store at the time, so the customer-to-salesperson ratio was 1:1. I had the most attentive salesperson… very sweet and(IMHO) a great salesperson. He would run out and grab accessories that he thought would(as he said) «make the dress pop». Sure, people may not like this approach, but it’s what salespeople are _supposed_to do… upsell you. 4 shakas — for being so friendly and helpful, and for having my size on sale! :)
