Viewpoint School

Viewpoint school recognize that each child is an individual, hence, it fosters an environment that is directed at catering to the individual child developmental needs rather than treating all kids the same. It does a wonderful job in preparing them to build character and maturely deal with the challenges of the world once they graduate High school. It is an amazing school, strong academics, rigorous curriculum, great athletic and artistic curriculum, the teaching of leadership skills and the giving back to the community. I highly recommend this school and strongly believe in its values.

Seeing that Viewpoint has 4 stars and not 5 is proof that noting is perfect for everyone… not even a school like Viewpoint.
I will say, however, that Viewpoint is as close to «perfect» as a school could be. It is 6 stars in my book. I can’t say enough about how the school is run, the individualized care, the facilities, the programs, curriculum. My son started in 7^th grade and he is now is 11^th and I literally have a smile on my face when I picture him being at Viewpoint.
Easily, what stands out the most is the fact everyone in the faculty and administration seem to know my kid, personally… they are invested in all the kids. they aren’t anonymous… my son feels like he is in a family type environment where people truly care about his welfare inside and outside of the classroom.
That is a very rare characteristic for a school. I can’t think on one single aspect of my son’s education, from academics to administration, to sports, etc., that have not been handled with the highest level of care and professionalism.
And, he has built a tremendous friend base at Viewpoint… definitely his second family.
If Atticus Finch were to teach at a school… he just might pick Viewpoint.
I will look back on Viewpoint and say it was perhaps the best money I have ever spent… and easily one of the proudest contributions that I have made to my son’s young life.

My daughter will be entering her second year at Viewpoint in the Fall of 2014.
Not every school is right for every child, but I always have been confident that Viewpoint is precisely the right environment for her. Their emphasis at every level has been on her total development… academic, social, moral, and philanthropic. It is easy to see the changes in her that come from a learning community that has these values at it’s core.
Some of the real benefits are obvious, like her academic growth and love of learning. Others are more subtle, like being in a community where parents, educators and staff all have a common focus on the wellbeing of every member. Sending your child to private school is a commitment on many levels. the community that comes together in making that decision is a group of thoughtful, caring people whose values are similar to mine and who I can trust to watch for my child’s best interests.
She sings to me (in French!) on the way home from school. She can’t wait for the next school day (usually). She is proud of her school, and proud of herself for the hard work she does there. She is growing up thoughtful, considerate, and believing in herself. What more could a school environment offer?
Every child is on their own path, and no one school can be the right fit for every one. However, I’ll say here what I have said to many of my friends… if private school is something you are considering, visiting Viewpoint and seeing for yourself is a small investment of time with a huge benefit.

We have two sons who attend Viewpoint School. Our first son started at Viewpoint in 3^rd grade. From his first day entering as a new student, the administration and kids welcomed him with open arms and true friendship. They made obvious efforts to ensure he transitioned seamlessly and made connections quickly. He made friends soon into his first month of school and has maintained those friendships. Viewpoint does a tremendous job of building character. To me, this was an immediate example of strong character both of the children and the staff.
Since then, we have seen our son thrive, both mentally and socially. We were so pleased with his academic progress, enthusiasm for learning and personal development. So, when it came time for our second son, we couldn’t imagine enrolling him (currently in Kindergarten) anywhere else. Half way through his first year, the Primary school experience has exceeded our expectations.
Viewpoint provides challenging academics combined with a nurturing environment to ensure each child has the tools in place for success. They are able to differentiate the curriculum enough to challenge each child to the fullest or give them extra help if they need it. The character development and infusion of the arts, sports, and community service provides the children with a well-​rounded experience that will prepare them for each consecutive grade and life in general. Most importantly the school celebrates the individual. They support independent and creative thinking, allowing children to explore their passions and to further their experience and understanding across all subjects.
We look forward to each New Year at Viewpoint with excitement. We sincerely appreciate having such a perfect partner to help guide our children through these pivotal years.

Our daughters have attended Viewpoint School for over 9 years and we could not be happier with the incredible education they are receiving. Each year, we witness the School’s renewed commitment to provide the best academic, athletic and artistic experience in a nurturing environment. Our two very different daughters are both thriving and happy at Viewpoint and are preparing to navigate this challenging world with the outstanding academic foundation, confidence, respect, courage and curiosity that Viewpoint has fostered in them.
Viewpoint School has helped our girls fortify their sense of self, has challenged them at every opportunity to meet the highest level of expectation and has provided the most magical atmosphere for our daughters in which to learn and grow. From the enthusiastic, highly qualified and exceptionally dynamic Administration and Faculty to the peacefully bucolic canyon with the state of the art facilities and top-​notch programs, Viewpoint School continues to deliver on their promises and remains the one School to whom we would entrust our children.

As we applied we were so welcomed invited to all of the activities of the school emailed welcoming us as a future family however when we were all excited to become a member of their family until the letter came and said sadly WE DID NOT GET ADMITTED THE VIEWPOINT HEAVEN SCHOOl! Looking back don’t waste your time getting sucked in with all of their sweetness and fake ness of the school. Make sure to apply to a school that really wants you for who your child is. This school was too good to be true.

My son has been at Viewpoint since kindergarten. He is now in middle school. Viewpoint has been the most amazing perfect place for him. My son has grown into a polite, well mannered, confident, smart and independent young man. Viewpoint is not controlled by the teacher’s union. All the staff is evaluated yearly and the teachers that aren’t «making the grade» are no longer there. The school is very well funded by the parents and fund raising. There is a brand new state-​of-​the-​art high school with a beautiful competition pool. The school is a non-​profit so all funds that are raised are poured back into the school and the students. Viewpoint teaches a second language beginning in Kindergarten. They offer competitive sports as of 5^th grade. The classrooms are not over crowded. The headmaster is constantly making improvements to the school and the curriculum. My husband and I could not be happier with the school and what it has offered to our son. BTW, there are plenty of regular folks that send their children to this school. The celebrity population just adds a little sparkle!

I have been working at Viewpoint for over 5 years and not only are the faculty and staff amazing but the kids thrive in this wonderful environment on 25 acres of campus. The School does everything and anything to admit wonderful students. Yes it could be on the pricier side, however, it is worth every penny and there are amazing Financial Aid benefits to those who have talented students but don’t have the means. When you are on campus you don’t feel like you are in Los Angeles. The teachers are fantastic and welcoming to all. Viewpoint is constantly trying to improve it’s programs and is by far one of the top independent school’s in Southern California.
If and when I have kids I would send them here in a heartbeat. Viewpoint does everything to ensure a wonderful learning environment for its students and an amazing place for people to work at.
