Like everyone else are saying, this hike is really easy and short. When you get to the destination there are going to be parking spots. Regardless, if there are no spots, you can just park on the dirt no problem. I’m sure no cops go up the canyon and give out tickets. The drive to the spot is between 20 – 30 mins depending on how fast/slow you drive. The drive up to the spot is beautiful. To get to the lookout, you just go past the gates & go all the way straight until you get to a mini hill & just go up that and you’ll be able to find the lookout. Have fun!

Super short hike, and lots of visibility on a clear day! Ran into a coyote on the road before we started our hike.

What a View! The hike is so short and easy(beginner level) but the view at the end is amazing. Tonight my plan was to watch the sunset and capture it on my go pro witch didnt happen because there were so much fog but that didnt stop the incredible view and the video of the fog moving. The best part is all the graffiti, yes it might be a little ghetto but it looks so cool in person & photos. Definitely check it out, the drive isn’t too bad and parking is a little though but there is spots right out front the trial. ENJOY!

My favorite secret spot. Almost no one knows about this spot. I heard there was a couch there at one point… like, how did a couch get here? The first time I went the graffiti was awesome. So many cool images to look at. The last time I went, the graffiti had faded. But the view is amazing. This spot is not for anyone with a fear of heights.

This is a short decent trail that gets super hot after 9AM — there’s graffiti tagged on the rocks, which actually make it a beautiful site. There are different views from different angels on this trail, all amazing to the point you forget where you are. I do recommend bringing the proper hiking gear even though it is a shorter trail– a hat, sunblock, and water will help you! Good hike for any beginner. I even found a basketball that’s got full air in to bounce around — score!

Easy, short hike and the views are AMAZING!!! I only found out about this hike because of the news coverage of the piano left there from a music video shoot. I went on the hike that Sunday after the news coverage and the piano was removed before I got there… BOOOO! Oh well, the views alone are well worth the mini-hike.

«Wouldn’t it be terrible if there was an earthquake?» — Anna This is a shorter hike and doesn’t have a lot of gorgeous views throughout. It’s only at the end where you can see spectacular views of the valley, malibu. other place I couldn’t pinpoint… Anyway, the final outcome is that you are standing on this huge gigantic slab of cement, VERY high up in the air. My lovely friend said that lovely quote above and yes, this is a terrible place for an earthquake but great views. This is a hike I will only do once and it’s nothing super special. It’s not even that strenuous either. Probably a good place for beginners.

Topanga Lookout Trail is a short, 2 mile, round trip hike that leads to a concrete, graffiti-covered, foundation that was once the site of a fire lookout. Park along Saddle Peak Rd and walk through the gated trailhead and continue up the paved road until you reach a dirt trail that is off to the left. At the junction you can continue along the paved road to encounter an interesting looking, graffiti-covered, abandoned microwave signal relay tower. The couch pictured in a number of online photos is no longer there. When you reach foundation you’ll get to appreciate great views of the Santa Monica Mountains, Calabasas, and the Santa Susana Mountains. You can reach the trailhead from both PCH and Las Virgenes Rd, off the 101. From PCH, at Duke’s Restaurant, head up Las Flores Rd and drive up 3.4 miles, up a narrow twisting road. Turn Rt onto Schueren Rd until you reach the intersection of Stunt Rd and Saddle Peak Rd. From Last Virgenes Rd head south 2.8 miles and turn left on Mulholland Hwy. Turn Rt onto Stunt Rd and continue until you reach Schueren Rd and Saddle Peak Road.
