We are a outdoor rock climbing company, in our price are included harness, helmet and climbing shoes.

We work from one person to a large groups, we work in birthday party and companies retreat.

We climb in the Malibu, Joshua Tree, Big Bear and Alabama Hills in Lone Pine.

History

Established in 2003.

Rock n Rope’s mission is to provide a fun and safe environment, in which patrons of all ages can exercise,

socialize, and gain rock climbing skills. By focusing on these fundamental qualities,

our friendly and knowledgeable staff will introduce you to the outdoors as a welcoming

place for both first-​time and experienced climbers.

Rock N Rope always stresses Safety first. Rock N Rope is insured and certified by PCGI,

Professional Climb Guide Institute and licensed to do business in the state of California.

With over 8 years of rock climbing experience Rock N Rope prides itself on operating and

working with rock climbers without a single injury.

Rock N Rope is wilderness first responder certified and all guides have first aid and CPR certification.

Malibu Creek State Park is a beautiful area that combines great climbing choices for all levels of climbers.

Business Owner

Originally from Brazil, Roger the founder of Rock n Rope Adventures, has always

been in search of the perfect spot for all his adventures.

His passion for the sport is so strong that he felt compelled to share new and exciting

adventures with others. For the last seven years, Roger has taught and

guided climbers through some of the most inspiring and picturesque sights in California.

In addition to his amazing skills, Roger is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

During his ten-​year stay in Los Angeles, Roger has also adventured out in mountaineering,

snowboarding, surfing, kayaking, slacklining, mountain biking, and skydiving.

Roger is PCGI Top Rope Guide and Wilderness First Responder.

A worthwhile adventure! I cannot emphasize how much I enjoyed my experience with Rope n Rope Adventures! This climbing experience was intimidating enough to push me out of my comfort zone, but not scary enough to deter me from trying it again!
Roger is personable, funny, knowledgeable, and patient. Not once did I feel pushed or rushed to make a climb I wasn’t ready for, and not once did I feel like my life was in jeopardy. Roger was always present and ready to guide and encourage every step of the way. I also appreciated the fact that he dedicated a good amount of time discussing proper safety procedures and making sure to test out if everyone has that knowledge nailed down. That definitely assured me that I was in safe hands.
Make note that it’s not height itself that will get you, it’s most likely the journey to the top that will. The view is worth it!
Helpful tips:
1) GoPro owners — Helmets have mounts in case you want to capture the moment!
2) Beware that you may end up with scratches and bruises if you choose to wear tanks and shorts.
3) Have fun! Don’t be too self-​conscious of making mistakes. You’ll learn and get better each time you climb. This is why you’re taking this class!

Such a wonderful, patient, and encouraging teacher! Roger got all of our 5 – 6 year old girls climbing away! They had the biggest smiles and really learned how strong they are. Our time went over and he was incredibly patient and helpful and so nice! Highly recommended!

I brought my bf here to start his birthday adventure. We loved it! We did a private 4 hour rock climb. It was perfect because we are both new to this and Roger gave us his full attention. He started us off on a rock (Santa Monica Mountains to be exact) that we could learn basic technique then he moved us over to more difficult rocks as the day progressed. We each did a total of four different climbs. All challenging but fun.
What is great about Roger is that you get trained by the owner himself, so you know it’s his personal mission to make sure your experience it a great one. Roger is just a cool person all the way around.
We are coming back next month with a small group!
Thank you so much for starting off his birthday in such a great way. We have a new found appreciation and much respect for rocks, mountains, rock/​mountain climbers and the shoes. In the shoe, we trust.

This place is AWESOME! Roger was amazing! He took my cousin out for a first time beginner session on a Monday. You usually need more than 1 person but he took him alone which was great.
By end of the session, my cousin had done 7 climbs and was now intermediate level! Roger coached him the whole way and made sure he was safe and protected. We know he was in good hands!
The climbs were amazing! The rocks and mountains were beautiful (in Malibu)!
Roger even waited for my cousins mom and myself to return from shopping to see a few of the climbs. He went over on time and was happy to do that for us.
I givr this place an A PLUS RATING! If you want to go rock climbing in a beautiful location with a great instructor, look no more! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE! Thank you Roger for a wonderful experience!

Rock N Rope team is great. My brother and I had never climb in our lives, but they taught us the basics, gave us some tips, answered all the questions. While we were at the rock they kept giving us assistance showing us where to go, as we looked stuck.
Safe and good equipment. I felt safe all the time.

Great climbing course, had a great time with Roger and Milena. Roger is a very good instructor. It was our first time rock climbing outdoor, we did few months indoor rock climbing gym, definitely recommend the outdoor. For sure will climb with Roger again.

The day I went rock climbing with Roger and Jesse was the best day out of all my vacation. Roger went above and beyond for this day to happen and I’ll be forever greatful, my friend and I truly enjoyed each climb.
They are two excellent belayers, they give excellent advices just at the right moment to help you get to the top. It was impossible to get bored even for a minute, even when we were not climbing. The conversation never ends and we had a lot of good laughs.
I’m definitely planning to go back to LA for more rock climbing with them. I definitely will register for the one weekend long trip of rock climbing, I can’t think of better guides for that.
If you are looking for a really fun activity to do, it should be the first one on your list, you won’t regret it.

Roger is an excellent instructor. He is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He set up 5 progressively difficult routes for us in a stunning location and coached us through completing all of them even when we doubted ourselves. It is easy to tell how much he loves his job and how much pride he takes in his company. We started out at 8am and it was quite chilly. I’d recommend bringing a pair of gloves (gardening gloves could work well because of the grip) as the rocks are freezing that early in the morning. Thank you, Roger, for an incredible experience!

Though it was our first rock climbing session, I would totally recommend Roger and Malena’s team! You can really trust them as your belayer and can tell that they are passionate about rock climbing. The location was great because it was in a shaded area with spurts of sunlight and a gorgeous view at the top of your climb. The team starts you off on a beginner climb and gradually sets you up for more technical and higher climbs — on the last climb you can reach to approx. 100 ft! Even in times when you are unsure if you want to continue Malena and the team cheered you on and even advised if you were stuck,

Our daughter wanted to celebrate her 22nd birthday rockclimbing. She found Rock N Rope Adventures online and had me contact them to set up our day for October 17. We were fortunate enough to get our own private group for a full day of rock climbing and ropes course. There were 5 of us, two of us in our 50’s and three girls in their early 20’s and we were all beginners. Milenna and Roger took the time to explain what we needed to do, and up we went! They were the best instructors, and were super patient with us! We had so much fun climbing the boulders, as well as testing our nerves on the ropes course, consisting of walking on a tightrope, ziplining, and finishing it all of with a leap of faith. We will do this again one day for sure! Malibu Creek State Park was beautiful and the perfect spot for us to learn the ropes!

I had a great adventure today! Thank you Malena, Roger and Jesse! I hadn’t been climbing for several years and am so happy I finally got out. Gets your blood pumping ;) This really is a fantastic location, it’s private and complete with a beautiful little creek, beautiful trees, birds and rock! There’s shade and you don’t have to hike in. These are experienced folks who kept us safe always. Treat yourself and get out there!

Roger, Toni and Jesse have been great! We booked the beginner class, had a quick and very useful introduction followed by 4h of pure climbing fun. The routes are challenging, but the guys were very motivating so we all accomplished them. I’ll come back to try out the routes at the beach!

We went rock climbing this past weekend with Rock N Rope and their crew and had the best time! We booked it as a group of 8 for my husband’s birthday and everyone in our group had a blast. Some had never climbed before and some had experience at a gym so they can work with whatever skill level you are.
They have a great spot in Malibu with 4 different routes, so even with a group of 8, we didn’t have to wait too long in between climbs. Roger and Milena were so great to work with. Booking was easy. We were running very late due to PCH traffic and they accommodated us still. Milena even brought a cake for my husband that I will have a hard time topping! It was delicious.
If you’re looking for a team building or a group outing or a date day, I would recommend giving these guys a call. I know we will be using them for our next rock climbing adventure.

My boyfriend and I love scrambling on rocks and hiking, but we had never rock climbed before. We got an email from the meet up group that I’m signed up with, and decided, «what the heck… it’s Valentine’s Day… what better day to go hang off a rock face 100 feet up!» The whole experience was awesome. Roger and Milena are so down-​to-​earth and humble. They are passionate about what they do, and did a great job explaining the basics and making sure everyone felt safe. They use excellent equipment and emphasize safety, but still push everyone to go beyond their limits! We both had a wonderful time. It was great being out in nature, pushing our bodies, and having fun with the other wonderful people that this kind of event attracted. We will definitely be out on the rocks again sometime soon, and we will definitely do it with Rock N Rope Adventures!

First time for my gf and i doing rock climbing and hands down best experience ever. We never thought we were capable of climbing as high as we did. Ok, first of all, this review comes from a guy with ZERO/​NO Experience in rock climbing. Roger takes his time answering all your questions and fears, he then proceeds to explain in detail all the rules and safety procedures that accompany the climb. I feel very confident in him and his partners. He will always try and push you to your limit, treating every customer with such care and enthusiasm that you really feel compelled to finish the climb and conquer that rock!

When it comes to hanging off of a 100 feet cliff and feeling the adrenaline kick in, Rock N Rope is as fun and as safe as it gets as far as rock climbing goes. The first time i ever went rock climbing was with these guys and I have to admit that I was a little nervous, but Roger, the head instructor showed me some techniques that I could tell only a pro knows and he watched me every step of the way up the cliff so I could make it up safely and without the strain.
The guys at Rock N Rope are awesome to be around, and one of the coolest parts of the experience of rock climbing with them is the decent once you get to the top. It’s a lot of fun! Roger and his wife Milena make an excellent team and are passionate about teaching others about what they love to do for a living. The team is professionally trained and they have the highest quality gear available, so you know that you’re in good hands.
I would recommend rock climbing with Rock N Rope for anyone at any age. I have seen them work with adults, children and families together. It’s definitely safe, clean fun in the outdoors.
