LA West Elite Event at Salon Nuuvo

When you walk into Salon Nuuvo, you can tell it is definitely a classy salon. I really enjoyed the goodie bag they gave us (see picture), and the lady who did the light thing on my face was super nice (it kills the bacteria!). I brought my mom as my plus one, and she enjoyed the treatment as well.
I got to meet the owner Rachel, as well as the head colorist and head stylist. Unfortunately, I can’t remember their names, but I had a lot of fun! The owner’s husband was also at the event and he explained how Rachel is the heart of the business and how he runs the business end. He was the one that got the YEE setup… smart man!
The food, provided by Fresh Brothers, was delish. The pizza was really good, and I think they must have overestimated how much the ladies at the event would eat because there was plenty to go around.
I grabbed a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes on my way out, and boy was that a mistake… because they were so good, and I regretted not being able to eat more!
There were also boutique candies, but I can’t remember from where :(They had mint malt balls and peach gummies. I’m craving some right now as I’m writing about them.
All in all, I enjoyed the chance to get pampered at Salon Nuuvo and am making good use of the glass nail file from Unilocal and the stuff from Salon Nuuvo’s goodie bag. Thanks to Brittany B. and Unilocal for another fun YEE!

A HUGE thanks to Rachel at Salon Nuuvo for totally spoiling us this evening.
The food, ambiance, treatment, etc was fabulous. Fresh Brothers brought some awesome grub as well. I started with a facial and although my skin was a little pink for the beginning of the evening, I was thrilled to see it clear up and feel vibrant by the end (which is a lot faster than a regular facial). She used some high-​tech lights and it couldn’t be cooler. Also had my hair curled; she was über efficient and my curls lasted until the next evening, sans hairspray even. Awesome!
Can’t wait to come back and try out some more of their services (cut, color, makeup, etc). Thanks to Salon Nuuvo, once again!

What a fun event!
The salon has a chic and hip décor– my favorite part was the ergonomic blow dryers hanging from the ceiling! The stylists were so nice and helpful! Eager to do something with your hair and give you tips!
The owner was so friendly and I enjoyed hearing about her salon and their team approach.
Food at the event was great! Fresh Brothers pizza is amazing and the Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert was the icing on the cake.
I would definitely come back to the salon and can’t wait to try the items in the goodie bag!

This event was amazing! I fortunately live nearby, so my drive (which apparently could have been a walk) was probably less than 5 minutes. It’s great to have more events in this area.
I work with some stylists and some cosmetology school owners, so I would say that I’ve seen a fair amount of different types of salons. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that everything was white, and that all the stylists and artist wore black. CLASSY. Then in a few seconds, I noticed the beautiful architecture of the space. From the chandelier to the shelves in the take-​home product area, to the middle island color bar and the separated wash house and esthetics area, it all seemed to flow really well. It was such a great surprise to find out the owner, Raychel, planned and executed the entire salon design. Major props because I think it’s super impressive to have your creative space be part of the results of your dream salon! I also noticed that most of the products were not familiar to me. When I asked about it, I found out that Raychel also creates her OWN hair products. WHOA.
We settled in pretty quickly. TONS of pizza from Fresh Brothers, which was amazing! They had so many different options to cater to everyone’s dietary needs. Meat, veggie, even vegan pizzas were plentiful. They also had salad and some sliders, which I was unfortunately unable to try. Drinks were chilled and continuously being poured by the enthusiastic and energetic salon team. To top it all off, huge trays of various flavors from Nothing Bundt Cakes were scattered around the salon, so everywhere you went, you just wanted to grab one because they were so moist and delicious.
We had the pleasure of being styled by Angelica. She gave my friend advice on how to give her hair more volume, and she did a beautiful braid/​updo/​curl for my hair. She told us how it took a long time for her to find a salon that she truly felt like she belonged in, and she found that in Salon Nuuvo and has since been working there for over a year. We then went to see Yun Sin, who gave us an electrotherapy (?) treatment, where she passed a rod over our faces to kill the bacteria that is the source of breakouts. Lastly, my friend got her makeup done by the energetic Jessie. Not only did my friend’s makeup turn out great, but you can tell both Jessie and my friend had fun during the application!
Overall, I was happy to see that everyone here worked in a TEAM environment, which I think is especially important in creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Everything was clean, sharp, and beautiful, and I can’t say that I’m not impressed with what they’ve created.
Lastly, if you wanted to see what amazing work this team creates, take a look at Brittany’s hair! The color was BEAUTIFUL; it was lighter and it had so much tone depth but also still looked really natural. The trim and style was flawless!
Great event! I think my favorite part of the night was when Raychel mentioned that she’s been in the industry for so many years, but every morning she still wakes up loving what she does and looks forward to work!

Tons of stylists ready to give your hair a little curl, a quick updo, and more! In the middle of the room, drinks on ice, pizza, salad, and sweet bites.
Best of all (for me), it was in my backyard! No need to sit in mad traffic; just a few minutes away. Glad to be exposed to a new place; thanks, Brittany!

My first elite event and I was blown away at how easy it was. As someone who does not open up and venture out on my own, this was a warm welcoming environment and the venue was beyond inviting — thank you for including me and I will definitely be contacting Jen for a styling/​haircut appointment… :)

So.Much.Fun! LOVED the West Side Elite Event at Salon Nuuvo! From the moment I stepped in it was super great service, from the gal at the front desk greeting me and offering coffee or tea (it was SUPER COLD OUT! Nice touch!) to the actual owners of the salon who took the time to introduce themselves and chatted with me and my plus one (such cool and personable people!) to my fabulous stylist Devin who gave me some life-​saving hair advice that I REALLY needed (ok, it wasn’t a life or death situation, but it kind of felt like I learned a life lesson!) to the amazing esthetician that did a really cool light therapy treatment on my face. All complimentary services just for the event!
There was also a plentiful amount of crazy good food provided by Fresh Brothers Pizza. Bite size bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes that were strategically placed around the salon, so I devoured like, 20 pieces by the end of the night. So damn good!
And of course, the really nifty Unilocal! swagger that is always nice. I’m kinda obsessed with their chap stick. They have other items up for grabs, but I usually grab a few of their chap sticks to hold me over til the next event!: x The salon also had really cool swag bags full of goodies including some salon product and super sweet discount cards that everyone scored at the end of the night.
Overall, nice turnout and the event was pretty packed the whole time! Great job Unilocal! (The ever so lovely Brittany B.!) and everyone at Salon Nuuvo for such a great and memorable evening!

I’m always happy to see events out in my area and I will definitely be going back to Salon Nuuvo for future beauty needs :)

The Elite Unilocal Event at Salon Nuuvo was so much fun.
I brought my bestie Kelly B with me and we both were able to get a make up touch up and our hair curled! The staff was so warm and welcoming in to the salon. We were greeted with coffee and tea almost immediately upon arrival. And I had the most amazing cake bites! Pumpkin me to heaven. Those had to be my absolute favorite of the night. Small bites were provided but who are we kidding, I went out for drinks after we left.
I will define it’ll be interested in visiting the salon again. I love a salon that is luxurious but also comfy. It felt very relaxing. The spa like. Plus the décor was amazing. Did you hear the story about the white Chandelier? You’ll have to ask when you visit next… Thank you to the entire Unilocal team for making my first event memorable. I look forward to more!

Another wonderful Unilocal event. The salon was gorgeous; all the stylists were wonderful and attentive.
They had a raffle, desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and drinks/​pizza/​salad/​sliders from Fresh Brothers.
The desserts were bite sized, but super delicious! I’ve had this bakery bookmarked on my Unilocal account and now will definitely give them a try!
I had a VeeV Cosmopolitan cocktail which was Steeerong, but delicious! (I’m not a big drinker). I also had their Margherita pizza, a meatball slider, and some salad. The food was fresh and delicious. My favorite had to be the slider. It was surprising to find the meatball in that little bun, and it was really yummy.
For the beautifying portion of the night, there were stylists doing mini hair styles, makeup applications, and skin treatments. I didn’t do the skin treatment, but there were plenty of ladies there in line waiting for a turn. I did have my hair done by Anne who was super friendly. My +1 had her hair styled and makeup done as well.
The night was very fun and was a great way to promote a business. They gave out goodie bags (yay!) that included a discount off their services. I will have to give them a call to schedule a blow out for the upcoming holidays!

Yay my first ever elite event!!! Thanks to Jessica O. for bringing me along. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, especially the owner, Rachel — who by the way, does an AMAZING blow out.

This event was spot on. First of all, it is right next to my Pilates studio SPN Pilates, which means I have pretty much been peeking in the window for months. It was soooo nice and everyone was shiny, attractive and smiling — I never went in, but was curious, so I jumped at the opportunity to visit at this event. I was not disappointed!
The salon is beautiful, really well decorated and the owner — Rachel — is very down to earth and cool. She and her husband are both very accommodating and helpful. I like what Rachel had to say about hair cutting and styling, it is clear she knows her stuff and has a genuine passion for her craft. She did Brittany’s hair that night and it looked really beautiful. I had to ask her where she got it done and she said Rachel! So there we go — I know who is cutting my hair next!
Brought my mom as my +1 and we had a great time. Caitlin curled and styled both of our hair and it was really cool for us having very different styles. Loved it! Genevieve — who is super sweet (and had on such a nice perfume, I want the brand!) showed me a fun updo that I plan on using in the wee hours on a work day. THANK YOU!
As we were leaving we got a cherry on top as Jesse was teaching an Eliter how to make a stunning smoky eye. Jesse is a triple threat. a colorist, stylist and makeup artist. Quelle Formidable! We learned a lot and I tried her tricks when applying my make up this morning. Nice!
There was a candy that tasted like peaches being handed out — a small place in Beverly Hills — so so mouth wateringly yummy. I think I ate too many.
So, in summation — I feel confident that I would be in good hands with any of these ladies!
Oh and did I mention I love Veev cocktails… mmmmm

First of all, let me start off by saying thank you to Brittany for coordinating another awesome Unilocal event and to Salon Nuuvo for an awesome night of girl time pampering. :)
I was greeted at the door as soon as I got outta the cold and got a nice hot chamomile tea and then started the night with a hot bites to eat. Pizza was yummy. I had a meat-​lovers one. Yum! And those meat ball sliders were so yummy. Also, Nothing Bundt Cakes provided dessert! Ooh, red velvet, yellow cake, and pumpkin were all divine. I forget the name of the alcohol, but they were waistline friendly and yummy. I had the cosmo, lemonade, and magarita. All were delish!
To the staff of Salon Nuuvo… these gals and guys deserve every praise for a job well done. Soo friendly and personable. I felt so welcomed. Raychel (the owner) really has a great team of stylists and staff. I got my hair curled by Genevieve and she was fabulous! I should’ve timed her (LOL), not only did she curl my whole entire hair but it took her probably a little over 5 mins. Seriously, she was that quick! And my hair looked fabulous too. :) I will most likely contact her. She gave me great hair tips so I can’t wait to get a haircut from her soon.
My friend got her eye make up done by Jessie. OMG! She looked fabulous. My friend was so happy for the tutorial too and then Anne curled her hair. She gave a great tip on how to do it with a hair straightener. So awesome!
At the end of the night, it was also nice to leave with our little swag bags too. Volumizing spray, argan oil, Unilocal discount offer, etc. This girl definitely felt pampered. :)

What a fun event! As always Brittany, you always coordinate the best events! They are always unique, exciting and one of a kind!
Salon Nuuvo is in such a great location and everyone was so nice and genuine. I have never felt so welcomed at such an eclectic salon. I’m the type of girl that is the service is on top, I will be a loyal client. I’m glad I was introduced to Salon Nuuvo. Everything was just on point! As always!

Another super fun elite event! The salon staff was warm and accommodating. I was welcomed from the cold to a hot cup of coffee. Anne styled an adorable side braid for me (hoping I can recreate this style at home later)!! And I got an infrared treatment for my minor blemishes. I decided to pass on the makeup as I was going home afterwards. I even bought epicuren herbal face cleanser while I was here. Time to do us on my skincare regimen with this dry weather!
Also, I didn’t bring an event but it was really cool that we were able to invite one. Thanks for having me Brittany!
