Color Me Mine

What a wonderful place to let your creativity shine when you can also create memories with your kids. Thank you crystal for being very patient and informative. If it’s your first visit, she will walk you through the process of making something you will cherish for years to come. My family and I will definitely be returning. We had so much fun doing our babies foot and hand prints. Stop by, you won’t regret it.

I always come to the shopping center where they are located. I finally decided to stop by one Saturday to take my son and he loved it. The staff is super friendly and sweet. They have many items to choose from so it’s great to come with your kids or friends. Susie cakes and coffee bean is right next door so this is a perfect location.

First off I like this concept. Personalize things to give or keep. My kids had fun, and the stuff they painted will make great gifts.
Now my reason for only 2 stars. First off we got a little gift package last year for christmas. Good for a kids painting session and included a little piggy bank with the understanding that we could exchange it for anything we wanted. Maybe because the gift didn’t come from this store but they did not allow an exchange. They did however honor the pain session. I was also told that if my 18 month old picked up a paint brush to add anything we would be charged $ 6 for him. Even for one brush stroke. They finished painting the 2 piggys and we were getting ready to leave. My husband finished up and I got the kids in the car. When he came out he informed me that they charged him $ 4 per item to fire them in the kiln. I get it, you aren’t making any money off us so you are trying to charge any way you can. I don’t see this posted anywhere, on the store or on their site. I will not do any further business with this location.

Great place! Lots of options to paint for all ages! Manny was there and he was very helpful and nice! Made our experience that much better. I can’t wait to go back!

It will it was my son’s first visit to Color Me Mine, I didn’t think that you would like it as I happen to think that this place is more for girls than boys but to my surprise he had a great time.
He selected an Optimus prime statue. We selected or pain and found somewhere to sit down. about an hour later we have a beautiful Optimus Prime. Unfortunately my son’s friends were not done so we selected a small kitten statue to paint for a cat loving friend of mine.
overall we had a great time and there was well worth the money spent.

This is my mommy daughter date spot. We love it. If allows her 4 year old mind to create periods works of art and me some time to unwind from a long day at work.
The staff there is great, especially Crystal. She is not only great with Sophia she is also really patient with me. My artistic talent ends at drawing circles and squares but Crystal helps my pieces look like an adult made them not a blind chimp.
We have made some great pieces that are functional and decorative (cake platter, base, mug, flower pot). Yes we come a lot.

My kids, granddaughter and Goddaughter love coming here. The employees are really nice and helpful. We all enjoy picking out from the variety of ceramics that are available. We’ve been to two other locations and they are all equally fun to go to and spend some quality time with the children.

I had a terrible first experience. I brought my girlfriend there for a date. I was let to believe I would have enough time to finish my painting. I came in at 6pm and was not informed I wouldn’t be kicked out by 7. After being told I would have to pay the fee again to finish our project I was upset. I was given horrible customer service. The sales associate also curved and got very rude with me after I told her I wouldn’t have started the project at 6pm if I was aware of the policies. I even wrote to the owner and he was rude as well. He had the manager come out and tell us we could finish the painting and get a refund if we didn’t want to keep the painting… What was the entire point of going there to paint?! He took his employees side of the story and made me feel like I was in the wrong. I was left with a bad taste in my mouth from this experience and I wouldn’t recommend going to a different location if you decide to try it out.

My kids really like this place, and its a great concept. But it’s very pricey to begin with, and the Calabasas store is now becoming fairly aggressive about pursuing gratuities which I think is very inappropriate. When I am there, the store employees are pleasant, but I don’t know what extra «service» is provided that merits a tip on top of the painting/​sitting fee and the premium pricing on the materials. Isn’t any service concept incorporated into the $ 6 fee? Or the over $ 20 I paid for a fairly small ceramic piece? The only contact I have with the employees is typically a greeting and being checked out, which is typical/​similar to any retail store. At the conclusion of your visit, you are now handed your bill in a restaurant type folio (I think it’s fairly obvious why they are doing that…), and a suggested 15% gratuity is marked on your total. WIth all due respect, I think that’s outrageous.

I love this place!!! These people are so nice and sweet — I felt like a spoiled child. Both times I went to this location, the person I dealt with was Manny and he is beyond an angel. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone feels comfortable and you are satisfied with your experience. He is also very patient with the demon children who come in this location and act like savages. This is the place to be in Calabasas!

Excellent customer service! Really fun environment!!! I actually learned a few tricks with my 7 year old from the worker Maya.

Went here on a Thursday around 4pm. We were the only guests all night. The employee manning the store was a doll and takes pride in the appearance of the store. She’s got a lot of tricks up her sleeve and special tools; ask and she’s very happy to help.
The sitting fee and pricing is a little much for me but is probably perfect for the average income of that area. Though I’m sure I will return for an occasional treat.
Lots of selection pieces and colors wise. Oh!
Parking was a bit of a nightmare.

Kids always have a blast. The staff are super friendly and our there to help right away. When all else fails this place is a sure win. Little pricey but the kids love it

FYI-​I think this color me mine is under new management, so the negative review probably applies to the previous owner.
I’ve been here a few times with my daughter and husband and each time we have had such a good time.
Went here on a whim once and got hooked ever since.
Such a nice place to go to just chill by yourself, paint and create or go with friends or family. It puts you in a different mindset and gets your arts and crafts juices flowing.
The extra stars definitely go toward the amazing staff, Greg is the new owner and he goes above and beyond to answer all your questions and make your experience an enjoyable one.
Crystal one of the team members was awesome too, she spent a lot of time with us showing us the stencils and giving us some really cool ideas for the pieces we were painting.
For the parents out there, they started a kids night too once a month from 6pm-​9pm where you and your significant other can go grab dinner while the kids paint.
In the end you walk away from this place with a great experience and something to show for it, these are really great memories worth making, especially if you have children.

I had a birthday party «To Go» package reserved for 15 + children booked (with a $ 50 deposit) and they NEVER SHOWED UP. I went in today to get my deposit back, and the owner didn’t even get off the phone to apologize. Enough said.

Poor customer service and no response to customer complaints or emails to owner via the CMM wesite. My daughter wants to plan a party at CMM but I need to find a store not owned by the same owners of the Calabasas store. The CMM website has a contact us link which is obviously worthless when trying to contact the owners of the Calabasas store. By the way, DO NOT PURCHASE Color Me Mine Gift Cards or you may be ripped off; my daughter was.

If you have a kid that is 3 years or older this is great place to spend a few hours. You can paint cups, plates, ornaments and just about anything you can imagine. I recently took my 12 year old daughter here and we had a blast. I painted several cups, and they looked very cool, especially after they were glazed and baked. They look way better then the generic ones at my house. You could even take a date here. If it wasn’t for my daughter, i would have never gone here, but i’m glad i did.
