I was in need of a Dermatologist and guess what I relied on? Believe it or not, I relied on Unilocal.I have PPO insurance, so I was good to go to any doctor and after all the great reviews, I had to come here.
I came here for some skin care/​hair issues and I met with Dr. Weitzbuch and he listened to my needs and put me at ease. He was meticulous, patient and has excellent bedside manners.
If you’re looking for a Dermatologist, I would highly recommend coming here. If you’re unsure if they take your insurance, then call before hand, but if you have PPO then look for further, this is great place.

Brilliant Dr. Weitzbuch is so knowledgeable and his staff is very friendly and helpful. The office is very thorough with setting and confirming the appointment and the appointment is set and you’re seen at that time unlike other offices where they’re running 30 – 40 minutes behind. The parking is free and convenient. Great experience overall.

Unfortunately I had a different experience than most of the other reviewers due to the front desk staff.
I waited 35 minutes at my first appointment to see Dr. Hal, although he did pop his head in twice during my wait to say it wouldn’t be much longer (it, in fact, was). The doctor and nurse were definitely nice and the the Dr. was honest about the fact that he wasn’t able to prescribe the optimal solution for the small rash on my face due to the fact that I am still nursing my 6 month old. Fair enough.
Subsequently, he gave me a sample of a cream that he said «probably would not do much» and a card for a facewash that the drug company was supposed to contact me directly about to receive. Before I left, I checked with the nurse about the process of getting the facewash since I has never handled a prescription that way and she assured me that they (the drug co) would call me. Funny enough, the cream actually did help my rash (yay!) and the drug co never did call (boo).
Followup to today, I phoned at 9am to request an actual prescription for the cream and not only did they not have me in their files at all as a patient (huh?), they did not call me back as they said they would after they spoke with a nurse about the cream. I called again late this afternoon and Jordan in the office told me — after I said that no one had called me back yet, with very little understanding — «Right. It could take 48 hours for us to call you back» (Seriously?) and then promptly put me on hold. And then hung up on me after holding for 5 minutes. Soooo I called a third time (I just wanted a script!). No apology from Jordan. Ok fine, but then was finally put through to the nurse Martha. Martha had the name of the medication name wrong (huh?) and was very much unsympathetic to my tale of how complicated this was getting, just to get a human to call another human about a prescription cream, and in fact said to me «sometimes we don’t get things in the time we would like». Whoa Martha! I just wanted to be treated like a valued client.
Perhaps they were having a bad front office day. Yet to date the prescription was never called in…
Not returning.

Rude disrespectful doctors office!!! Thought ide look for a dermatologist so I went to Unilocal and found this doctor. Called to make an appointment and a receptionist says they don’t have an appointment available till November. I wanted to expedite the process And asked her if I could schedule an appointment for November where I can be evaluated and treated for acne scares possibly with laser resurfacing in the Same visit. it was still 3 weeks away and she didn’t know how long after the consultation it might take to be treated. She put me on hold and someone else returns to the phone and tells me she’s a nurse and understands I have some questions. I begin to describe what I was interested in when with a bit of attitude she interrupts me to ask my name so she knew how to address me, I said «John»… then I continue to describe my acne scares and what I’m interested in and she interrupts me again just 5 seconds later with a bit more attitude to ask my age, I said «48yrs» again I continue describing what I am interested in and then she interrupts me a third time and this time refuses to let me finish what I was saying and proceeds to talk over me until I have no choice but to stop. she’s talking over me using some analogy about a used car lot to describe why I can’t have a consultation and treatment the same day insinuating how retarded i apparently am for asking this simple question. She says «you wouldn’t go to a car lot and ask to blah blah blah…» «The authority and disrespectful nature of her attitude and tone of voice is that of a correctional officer speaking to a child! At that point I said if you are going to continue to interrupt me I’m just gonna hang up and she responded by hanging up on me. I had to wonder if there was a misunderstanding. Who acts like this? Who would accept being disrespected and talked down too by the doctors office they choose to spend their money at?

I highly recommend Dr Weitzbuch for all of your skin care needs. His staff is super friendly, his office is nice, clean and modern. When you arrive for your 10:30 appointment you are seen at 10:30 and to top it off Dr Weitzbuch is just a cool guy and really knows his football.

Calabasas Dermatology Center is an incredible clinic. They were very responsive and scheduled me immediately when I became concerned about an abnormal patch on my chest. Dr. Weitzbuch was knowledgeable and talked me through the entire procedure. The staff was kind and genuinely seemed to have concern for my well being as I was terrified that my spot was cancerous. I would recommend Dr. Weitzbuch to anyone looking for a dermatologist. Truly a wonderful experience.

Love this place! I had originally been going to a different doctor around the corner and while that place was great, I really needed a change in my skin care routine as the other one wasn’t working anymore.
I somehow snagged a same day appointment after a cancellation and had barely any wait time while I was there. Literally maybe all of 5 minutes while I filled out my forms. I met with the nurse first and she was GREAT! Super friendly and extremely knowledge (I am blanking on her name). A few minutes later the doctor came in and he was great. Extremely professional but also personable and really knew his stuff. Gave me four different prescriptions, with the option to come back in two months for an oral medication if the topical ones didnt work out. Also gave me a very thorough mole check and answered any and all questions I had during the exam. This is my new dermatologist for sure. ALSO — I got a dry ice treatment included in my appointment which was awesome.
I’m happy to say that my skin is better than its EVER been, with NO active acne anywhere! Thanks, DOC :)

THE BEST! I love Dr. Weitzbuch not only for his wealth of knowledge and professionalism, but also because he makes you feel tremendously comfortable. My mom and I both go to him, and when she was battling some stubborn cancerous spots on her nose, he helped her through it like a champ.
I also love that he takes his time with you to fully explain what’s going on or if you’re in a rush he gets you in and out of the office quickly and resolves the problem thoroughly.

I needed to be seen quickly and the staff found me a spot to be seen ASAP. The staff is very courteous and kind. Dr. Weitzbuch is awesome too. He is very knowledgable and explained everything to me. He took care of me like a family member and I appreciate him so much for his expertise.

I can’t be happier with the treatment from Dr. W. He explained everything to me very well. I had a mole removed and could not believe how painless it was. A true magician with the needle! I found him because his office is so close to my house and he is my 3^rd different derm. Looks like he will be my last. Thanks !

I’ve never been to see the doctor. Tried to call at the only time I can take a break, lunchtime, and they were closed. I checked their website and there is a place to request an appointment online, which I did. Left my email and phone number along with the preferred day of the week and time, but never heard back. I ended up making an appointment with another doctor who had staff to answer the phone at lunch. Looks like a nice place, but I’ll never know.

Dr. Weitzbuch is one of the main reasons I miss living in LA. I now schedule my dermatology checkups around my random trips back to LA. His amazing knowledge, and comforting bedside manner are unlike any other dermatologist I have experienced (and I’ve experienced a lot). I am full of irregular freckles, and had my first skin cancer in my mid-​twenties. I’m what you call either a dermatologist’s best friend, or worst nightmare. Dr. Weitzbuch definitely doesn’t make me feel like I’m his worst nightmare. He came up with a good strategy to make the most of my sporadic visits and I feel extremely comfortable with that. Thank you Dr. Weitzbuch!

I went in yesterday for a first time visit to see Dr. Weitzbuch. Parking was a little confusing, but there are designated/​reserved spots for the office. The wait room is small, but when I arrived there were only a few others waiting; nice and quiet. Martha the nurse brought me into the exam room, and she was lovely. Soon after Dr. Weitzbuch came in; one thing that I noticed about him was he talked very fast, but I would take that any day over a sluggish conversation. Just a few minutes of consultation and I could tell he knew what he was doing. They prescribed me some topical medications, at which had to go through off-​site pharm companies and were nice enough to tell me «if its over $ 100, dont bother getting it!» Nice to see that they’re honest and take budget into consideration.
Overall, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and Dr. Weitzbuch was great. Definitely would go back for any further problems, and would recommend anyone to come to this office.

One word describes everyone at Calabasas Dermatology Center and that is «AMAZING!»
I started with Dr. De Stefano in 2011 to have my moles mapped every year and fell in love with the staff. They have always made me feel like family from Jordan greeting me on the phone & at visits and Jan finding time in the schedule for my mole mappings and Andrea taking the hundreds of pictures for my mapping to Martha & Eileen, the most amazing nurses around.
The following year when I went in for my annual mole mapping I found out that Dr. De Stefano had sold the practice to Dr. Weitzbuch. I was nervous for a new doctor to be inspecting me, but instantly felt comfortable after meeting him. That first visit he spent over 4 hours with me thoroughly inspecting my not so normal moles. Now 3 years later I had my first Moh’s Procedure on my cheek with Dr. Weitzbuch with Martha & Eileen assisting him. They did everything they could to make it the best possible experience that it could be to get a chunk of meat cut out of your cheek. They truly care and it shows through everything that they do. They all work together seamlessly like a well oiled machine. They take the time to get to know you and what is important to you. It has been 4 days since my procedure and I can already tell that I will have very little scar if any at all. He did an amazing job stitching me up but most importantly removing all of the cancer. You always know you are in good hands when the staff is happy and raves about how wonderful the doctor is and how great he treats the staff. I highly recommend Calabasas Dermatology Center.

Dr. Weitzbuch and his staff are awesome! I can not say enough great things about his team. Everyone that I interfaced with at his office was really nice, helpful and most of all they were knowledgable and seemed to know what they were talking about.
I went to Dr. Weitzbuch for brown spots that have been developing on my face. He gave me all the info that I needed. I felt like he and his staff really cared about me. They seemed really genuine and I’m looking forward to my next visit.
