2.5 Stars are a relative thing, folks. As much as I, typically, loathe haughty regionalism when it comes to ethnic food, when in Cadiz, I have to admit it applies. I am not going to expect the same quality of Indian food as I’d get in a larger city. And, honestly, I’m pretty shocked that Cadiz offers an Indian restaurant that seems to do a steady stream of business. Global economy, y’all. So, it came to pass that the housemates had tired of cooking. While many of us are pros in the kitchen(my take on Mexican night was a smash hit), cooking for 20+ people at one time isn’t a ton of fun. Doing it over and over again(without getting paid) is less fun. So, take out. Being that my crew came together from the four corners, someone got the bright idea to get Indian take out. In Cadiz. Did I mention that we had several doctors, lawyers, teachers, and researchers in our cabal? Bright people don’t always make bright choices. So, Indian. In Cadiz. Being skeptical, I opted for the less-saucy-than-other-options chicken saag. Here’s the funny thing: the saag was good. Like, legit good. It was the chicken that threw me off. The chicken tasted… unwell. Like, ‘oops, I forgot to refrigerate this. Hmm. Well, the heat should kill anything’ unwell. The lunacy of well-prepared saag but rancid chicken was not lost on me. Luckily, we had a battalion’s worth of booze at the ready, so I coupled every bite with high-proof brown liquor.* Not for nothing, the naan was burnt. I mention it because the same complaint is found in other reviews. They might want to fix this… or not. After all, where else in Cadiz are you going to go for Indian food? *Guaranteed cootie killer. Works every time.

If you are driving through Cadiz & feel the pangs of hunger, don’t search for fast food– try this place! I used to joke about it when they first opened & I first tried out this restaurant by saying to people«it’s a cool restaurant, you know the gas station/liquor store/Indian restaurant?» Ha ha don’t let that cause you to dismiss it, it is awesome! The Malabar Chicken is the bomb I heard the American Menu is good too, worth trying but I just cannot help myself to always order from the Spicy side — they will modify the dishes that have curry to your spice level preference to your taste. Way cool restaurant to be placed in little old Cadiz Kentucky. The owner/manager is very friendly too. Always asks if we enjoyed our meal

Love this place. Food is super!!! A bit pricy for the area but well worth it. Have been there 3 times now in the past few months and look forward to going there to try something new

The other reviews are accurate. Great food and nice people who make great efforts to provide good food and good service. Large beer selection. We had fifteen people who are all ready to go back. Is a somewhat unique place for atmosphere. Some TVs and sports jerseys, vinyl table clothes and stack chairs. Connects to a liquor store.

You wouldn’t imagine the food would be so good from the outside appearance. The people are friendly and the food is great! You have the option of American or Indian cuisine. Give your taste buds a chance to try something new with the Indian menu. There is an option of mild, spicy, or hot, so every taste bud is safe with the food choices. We had the aloo tikki chole for an appetizer.(Potato patties with chick peas) They were a nice introduction to the meal. We also ordered the chicken biryani(a sort of stir fry with seasoned rice) and the chicken saag(boneless chicken in a spinach sauce with an order of white rice). The meal was delicious! I will be coming back to try more of the menu.

What an experience! My father and I stopped for a quick drink on our road trip from Iowa to Disney World after reading the reviews about the great craft beer selection, and boy were they right! Great ambiance, friendly staff, and lovely décor. A true diamond in the rough!

The food is terrific and tastes authentic. The owner was very kind and gracious. Other customers began filling the place as we finished our early lunch. They seemed enthused to be there.

Stopped by Sunday. It’a dive. Has 2 or 3 tvs but not really a sports bar and can’t serve alcohol on Sunday. Stopped by because I really wanted Indian food and this is closer than Nashville. The sauces were good. The naan is ok. Korma has nuts and raisens. Good but different. Bottom line. It’s good enough I will be back soon when I have a craving for Indian food.

Great curry and chicken fried steak, hilarious combination of foods but a hidden gem! Old school décor but you’re in an Indian-Kentucky sports bar, so it kind of makes sense.

Out here at Lake Barkley looking for something different. Unilocaled and was turned on to this place. Was awesome. Took 3, and all had a variety of very good food. Don’t let the outside fool you!

Wow a gem in a world of pork chops and fried chicken. The Lamb chops alone make Cadiz a spot to visit.

Just gets better every time we eat there and the selection of craft beers is amazing.
